“All the taxidermy and bones freaked me out a little bit but lots of great merchandise and helpful staff. Great if you're into to this sort of niche interest.”
“The best!!! Flora Grubb is our favorite nursery not only because of the many great and rare plants they carry, but because it’s a beautiful place to spend time just browsing.”
“Great place to pick up Benjamin Moore paints. I order online and pick it up to avoid wait times (which aren’t that long but I always end up leaving with things I didn’t intend on buying ?). Great customer service and they do occasional sales! Grateful this is my neighborhood hardware store.”
“Excellent selection of plants, pots and soils. Mike was very helpful he helped us with half bags of soil as we couldn’t fit full bags on the bikes. Would definitely recommend!”
“I've come to this store multiple times and I always had a great experience. It's even better if you need help finding the right tools or materials for a project because you'll always find someone ready to help.”
“Absolutely adore this shop! Fantastic service, beautiful, healthy plants. Purchased soil and it is so dark and smells like earth should!I especially love that pet friendly plants are marked (with adorable paw prints) as both my cat and dog like to graze if they somehow manage to get up to the plants.”
“If you’re looking for amazing plants, beautiful bonsais, and a place where you can actually ask questions, especially if you’re just starting your plant parent journe. I can’t recommend this spot enough! The staff is always incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and genuinely happy to help.
My sisters and I come here all the time, and it’s our go-to place for both home and office plants. We’ve never left disappointed. The best part is that after picking out your new little green friend, you can walk around Japantown, try some great Japanese food, and explore so much more. It’s always a great experience all around ?”

“Love the place,I usually go to the nursery elsewhere, but after working in the field, they got lots of variety to choose from, have 1 cu ft bags of all soils types”
“Quite amazing! Great quality plants and friendly help and they are PACKED with options including unusual and hard to find plants! Really great selection of Bromeliads to bring that unique tropical look to your garden. Check them out! A little bit out of the way but so worth the trip!”
“I’ve spent a small fortune over the years on plants from this nursery. They have all the common houseplants to the rarer collectibles and everything in between. Prices for most plants are competitive but the rarer ones are very pricey as to be expected. Friendly staff, big variety of plants, highly recommend.”
“I driven past Silvestri for 60 years and finally stopped in to make a purchase. I was shocked at all the beautiful items in stock right on floor. If your looking for statuary, pots, tables, fountains, just about anything to beautify you house or yard this should be your 1st stop. This is a great place!”
“It was absolutely worth discovering this place—they have a beautiful variety of flowers to choose from. The shop has such a great vibe, and everything smells amazing.
My lady loved the bouquet, and the customer service was excellent—friendly, helpful, and welcoming. We will definitely be going back again.
Highly recommend ??”
“10/4/2024: I'd been looking forward to visiting Succulence for months, ever since my plant collection exploded with a particular fondness for succulents. I happened to be in the Bernal Heights neighborhood, so decided to finally check them out. Unfortunately, when I arrived I discovered a karate school at the address listed for Succulence. A lady inside told me they had been closed since sometime in June.
The owners have responded to other comments, stating that despite the closure of their brick and mortar store you can still contact them regarding workshops and other events. Closing a business is incredibly difficult, and I'm glad to hear they're still up and running (even if it's at a reduced capacity). To those leaving negative reviews because they arrived to find the store closed: stop. For you it's a minor inconvenience, but for the owners it's so much more. That said, it would be helpful if they added a banner on the website's homepage letting customers know the physical store closed. I wish them the best with their future ventures, and hope I get the opportunity to visit another Succulence location someday.”
“Great customer service - I’d been eying an item for a while and when i finally went to buy it, it was out of stock. They took my name down and called me when it came back in.They have a great selection of books, gardening tools & kitchen items.”
“Having Delano provide Our Business with such fine materials and containers, gorgeous healthy blooming plants, cute, traditional basket gardens, trendy new 'Instagram' tropicals and lush full green plants keeps our customers happy and returning for more. Side by side, my customers will choose Delano plants over their competitors. Blooming plants are beautiful Now, today for the event I need them for...not waiting for them to be showy for later when the event is over. And then my customers tell me that their plant is still happy and thriving. Great Customer Service means I am having a pleasant intelligent knowledgeable staff member handle my needs, even when it's early morning. Thank you everyone at Delano, for being there when I need You! OH, and their office staff has made sure that my pre-ordered special requests are at the SF Flower Market, waiting for me. Thanks!”
“I live in the neighborhood and love this store! Recently, I had an issue with my scooter. It was missing a vital part for carrying it. Gabe willingly helped me with the issue and came up with a quick and easy solution: a carabiner. Thank you so much, Gabe!”
“Really good place ! The owner is a real passionate about his domain. He would love to help and recommend you.
I love that place, and I’ll come back.”
