Authentic Japanese food. Some huge sushi rolls, the biggest I've ever eaten. I give it 4 because the place is a little small and it doesn't have wifi

It’s alright. Maybe doesn’t deserve a 3.X star rating it is currently sitting at.

It's good - food is good, price is good, service is good. IDK why all these people be rating it so low, it's like a 4.1 I would say.

The food here is... on par for Japantown... Pretty mid. The squid tempura and mixed tempura are really flavorless. The mixed tempura got soggy pretty fast like less than 15 minutes. The beef teriyaki is surprisingly ok and perfectly medium rare despite how thin it is. The teriyaki sauce though is pretty sweet but you can scrape it off. Service is good but the food is passable.

Ordered a donbori bowl and I was surprised by the generous portion. It came with a warm bowl of miso soup as well.

Located in the Japan town complex this restaurant offers a fairly extensive menu. My unagi dish of fresh water eels was good the accompanying miso soup was too salty. An other dish of sashimi was rather tasteless and disappointing although the portions were large

I’ve had better Japanese meals at significantly cheaper prices and with friendlier staff! Our waitress refused to accept a minor menu change. I accept they have a set menu for a reason but the requested change was so minor it would have made no difference (it wasn’t a core ingredient change), just to leave something out of a side dish. I paid for our group as a thank you to our friends showing us San Francisco. I was shocked to see lunch for 4 cost $130 + 3% + tip (15%). Four small basic meals, 2 cans of Coke, a beer and a tap water.

Food is quite good, but the waitress lashed out, when one of us asked for a new pair of cheap chopsticks.Quite expensive, $20 for tempura shrimps or ramen. Also the staff doesn't seem Japanese which may or may not be okay, I'm not sure.

Great lunch specials. The ladies at the front helped me order what was best. Ended up getting the chasu ramen. Excellent. Karage chicken was perfectly cooked. Great affordable lunch special in the heart of Japan town.

Three of us went for lunch. My friend ordered Tonkotsu Ramen. When our meal was brought out one of the order was wrong. They brought Udon instead of Tonkotsu Ramen. We told them we didn't order Udon then they brought it back at first, but the other "rude" server came back with the same udon(!). She said we pointed the udon in the menu, but my friend clearly said Tonkotsu Ramen he's japenese & knows exactly what he ordered in addition pointed the photo of the ramen in the menu. She made it look like it's our fault (as if my friend changed his mind after ordering food) Then she said "so you want Ramen then?" and rolled her eyes and had a big sigh intentionally to make sure we hear it (and of course never apologized). She was super rude and very unprofessional. The food was decent but because of that very rude server, we will never come back unless they fire her.

Quick Summary:- Good portions- Had menus that were good for the warm weatherThat day, the weather in SF was on the warm end. On top of that Japantown was crowded with people and the venue is not fit for the hot summer weather: not-so-sufficient air conditioning in many of the stores. Due to this, the air is stuffy and humid. Naturally, we wanted something cool to drink for dinner. We looked around, but there aren't many restaurants in that style.Browsing around, we finally found this one, where there is cold noodles. We were seated and took some time browsing the menu. Oddly, I ended up choosing the hot tonkotsu ramen. The dishes came one after another in a short spam of time. The tonkotsu ramen is good, just how I imagine a typical tonkotsu ramen to be. I love how it doesn't have too many pork chāsu. I'm not a fan of ramen with meat protein covering the whole surface of the bowl. The portion is nice as well.

The food is okay, nothing special and service is good but the prices are to much and they force you to pay 18% of tip. Simply not recomended

Good place for tasty sushi. There is nothing special about the menu. Standard choices. But the rolls and nigiri are all well made and flavorful. We were here on the weekend and it was pretty damn busy, but they were quick in seating us and service was efficient. The interior is a little crowded, but not distractingly so. I've had some bad experiences with sushi in Japantown -this was not one of them. This was a good one. But nothing made it really stand out and put it at the next level.
