Philz Coffee is a fancy premium coffee shop. I had their large dark roast coffee $6. The coffee is brewed one cup at a time via a small paper filter like how Blue Bottle does it. I prefer my coffee straight up, no cream or sugar. Their dark roast, "Jacob's Wonderebar" had a unique smokey sweet bitter taste. It was very good coffee. Service was excellent. By the way, large coffee prices around Fidi are: Starbucks $3.45, Peet's $4 and Philz $6.

Vegan? Plant Powered Breakfast Sandwich is amazing. (Now make it glutenfree FoodForLife RiceMuffin=10stars, pull off bread+still hearty GF). Every Philzcoffee will blow your mind: all good choices. Downtown location was speedy+friendly even @busy time of day full of suits. TIP your workers, they earn it every time.

It was a busy morning with many customers buying coffee. This is a coffee shop where you are asked for your name when making a purchase. They also sell bread, and it looked delicious.

Philz rockz. Located in a fun part of town. A bit of advice: Never make eye contact with a homeless person. It is like looking into the abyss.Dietary restrictions: I knew someone who survived 5 days on coffee beans and Tic Tacs. These social media challenges are getting out of hand.Parking: Homeless people usually don't have cars. But sometimes they do. It must be terrible to be homeless and have to pay for parking.Wheelchair accessibility: Yes!

I use to love coming here especially when it was at 24th around Mission. Menu is a lot smaller and chose the new Manhattan which was available on the app. Checked the menu in person and they had the one I wanted, Philharmonic, but I was told they are phasing out that brand. It use to come with a mint and none of their coffee on the menu even offers it. Baristas we’re calling out other peoples orders by their name and noticed my order was just sitting there. Had I not paid attention probably would have just sat their. Kind of feel I don’t belong in there. Plus it is way overpriced. I found coffee in SF for $1.45 around fisherman’s wharf. Good luck looking for that cup. The place was cozy to kick back and had a lot usb outlets to charge devices. Probably the last time I will hit this place up. The coffee was delicious though.

After having my first cup of philtered soul many years ago now I decided to quit drinking coffee and instead drink Philz. Knowing that each cup I drink was made for me in the moment is big for me, and also I am sure for the baristas as well. Everyone making coffee at every Philz I've been to seems happy to really put their brewing skills to the test. Thanks for all the tasty drinks.

Indoor and outdoor seating. Pleasant atmosphere. Knowledgeable staff, quick service. I enjoyed the different available blends of coffee. Highly recommended.

The quintessential Bay Area coffee. I make sure to get the mint coffee anytime I'm in the area. I crave it whenever I leave.

Atrocious coffee. Their food is also all premade so they cannot accommodate allergies. Starbucks is across the street and you should just go there.

Sent us the wrong food and told us they were out of it after we asked why they send the wrong food. 2 minutes later they said they have the food we ordered. Second time food was poorly prepared and with questionable quality. Not recommended.

Don't come here if you're in a rush. I've stayed away from Philz because of their well documented shady employment practices and the rats in their mission street location (look it up) - but I thought I'd give this location a try. First - line takes forever. Second - unless you do a mobile order, you're gonna wait forever. Third - if they take longer than usual (I had to remind them of my order), you won't get an apology or a thanks for waiting - just your overpriced coffee that you waited too long for.

The good ratings are definitely not for the coffee taste...tastes like gas station coffee

They sell nice coffee and food. I bought a burrito with a coffee for breakfast and it was good. Its possible to sit both outside and inside in a well-being admosphere. I recommend it.
