Pier is not only good for shoppers, but it is a place also for tourists because of the sea lions.

We had so much fun at Pier 39, the weather was perfect! Our Goldendoodle puppy saw the barking sea lions for the first time and they barked back and forth lol! We even took him inside a photo booth, while they didn't turn out perfectly lol, we now have memories to cherish! The shops and restaurants are endless, I purchased a couple things from Aleenk Technologies and we had lunch at Pier Market restaurant! I would HIGHLY recommend visiting Pier 39, for breathtaking views and unique businesses! We parked on the 3rd floor at Pier 39 Parking Garage and it led straight to the Pedestrian Bridge Walkway, the access to Pier 39 shops and restaurants! We are looking forward to returning to check out The Flyer when I'm no longer pregnant! Maybe we'll even add a love lock to the Pier! ;-) SYOY!

Pier 39 and Fisherman's Wharf come highly recommended, even by locals. While some may label it a "tourist trap," it offers a plethora of restaurants, shops, food stands, people, and tours. For souvenir shopping, check out the cable car company store--it's a small, hidden gem with reasonably priced items for tourists. If you're from Toronto, imagine it as somewhat akin to Yonge & Dundas Square, but with an ocean view. You'll encounter aspiring musicians trying a bit too hard! Consider taking the Big 3 tour, opt for the full package, and enjoy the Oakland-Bay bridge crossing. The Big 3 location is conveniently situated in Fisherman's Wharf, where pickups are available. It's a reliable choice for all your needs. When it comes to transportation, consider using Uber, as parking costs can be exorbitant throughout San Fran. LOL!

Pier 39 offers a fantastic opportunity to observe seals up close and undisturbed (the seals, not you). However, be prepared for large crowds of tourists expressing admiration, much like yourself. Despite its touristy nature, the Pier is an integral part of San Francisco's lively waterfront scene and is worth a visit. While embarking on a coastal drive provides various opportunities to witness seals on beaches and in the water, this vantage point within a major city is quite unique.

My wife, 6-yo daughter, and I had a great time walking the pier on a Wednesday afternoon in early January and exploring the shops, including Trish's Mini Donuts, Trish's Chocolate, Sunglass Hut (where I purchased a couple pairs of sunglasses, buy-one-get-one-half-off, a decent value, with similar prices to other Sunglass Huts, and friendly, helpful service from the lady working there), and the rubber duck store (a bit too expensivefor rubber ducks, but expected for a store on the pier, and the shop owner was friendly). We ate at Bubba Gump's and rode the carousel, then took some great oceanside pictures at the end of the pier. The pier was crowded yet not "packed." We headed out around 5 p.m., just in time to catch the light/music show at the big Christmas tree.

Nice tourist attraction and must see while in the SF Bay Area. A lot of great stores, restaurants, and sight seeing. Try some of the best clam chowders here. A lot of photo opportunities with wall art in the area. Great for families and children with a carousel at the end of the pier. There is a parking garage, lots, and nearby or street parking. Will be crowded during tourist season but enjoy your time!

We stroll into pier 39, it was delightful and we felt we are in the soul of san francisco bay. We walking through pier 39 to the end and it was such great breeze of fresh outlook into our new chapter of our lives. We can't wait to bring out children here once we get settled in.

Pier 39 is our regular hangout spot. This place is always fun to visit. Lots of food vendors, activities to do around here. We always park in paid parking spots and keep our car empty to avoid the theft that is pretty high in any high traffic area. We recently visited Pier 39 on their 45th anniversary. They had live music, drone show which was pretty nice to see. Prior to the drone show there were ample of food vendors and dj right at the entrance. A few videos here of the drone show. After the drone show we sat down and watched Lucy's "Lucy juggles" show. She was hilarious and super talented. And ofcourse we had the famous mini donuts. We realised we needed to take a picture of the donuts after we were done, thats how good it was. Definitely a regular go to place. But watch out to not leave anything visible in your car. Be careful people and have fun.

I went to "Bubba Gumps" at Pier 39 with my family on a Saturday. Let me tell you the food that I ordered on a scale of one to ten ended up getting a two!!!!! I had stuffed shrimp with crab, jasmine rice which was gummy, garlic toasted bread and a lemonade. I won't be going back. Who ever made the stuffed shrimp it had too much garlic butter and Monterey jack cheese. The lemonade was great. Terrie W.

Pier 39 is always a solid spot to bring folks who are visiting the city. This is definitely a tourist trap, but will still give you the comforting nostalgic vibes if you grew up in San Francisco. 7D Experience is a short, but fun, experience for ~5 minutes of fun (check Groupon to see if there are deals). Trish's Mini Donuts is also a must-try while here. Make sure to check out the piano stairs and the sea lions sunbathing! These are classics that can't be skipped when at Pier 39.
