Usually only 1 or sometimes 2 actual cashiers, with lines to the back of the store. Trying to force shoppers to use the self checkout. Shoppers do not get any type of discount for using self checkout and still must pay for bags. There in no incentive for anyone to use this. If you just want to grab a bottle of wine you’re forced to wait in a huge line simply because Safeway wants to cut jobs and save money with no regard for the regular shoppers in the neighborhood. I now use the other store in Diamond Heights
