The elevator has been broken for months. How can I buy a cart of groceries and then use the stairs to bring things up to my car. Additionally, people with disabilities and mobility problems (which included myself) have a hard time using stairs. I'll just go somewhere else that is more accessible.

This Safeway is so terrible it's insulting. The elevator to the parking lot has been broken for months, the place is perpetually understaffed and understaffed. Clearly Cerberus is working to see how little they can spend and still have a functioning grocery store

Safeway delivery is HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!! Ordered $137. Groceries cut the week... received 6 bags.... 2 bags of detergent - (correct, ) 2 bags of someone else's order , frozen items & dairy item's (WRONG) 2 bags of spinach, tomatoes & avocados (correct) MISSING: salmon, steak, romain lettuce, dill, mint, olive oil..... (WRONG) ROUGHLY $70 of order was not received!!!! I have had so many problems with Safeway orders that I stood outside my home, with the driver and went through the bags with him. We circled all missing items! Somehow...2 weeks later... still fighting with customer service on fraudulently charged items!!!!!!! Problem so bad, I had to place an order with Whole Food for sand kittens on same day... in order to have dinner. This cost my $234.00, 1 week of groceries..literally 3 pieces of meat and veggies for salad. I do have receipts and pictures.... Safeway delivery is a joke!!!! Hard Pass!!!! This location also sends out expired food!!

This safeway is near my house so I shop here for my groceries. It's terrible that all the front parking is charging stations for electric cars! So we have to park upstairs and for months now the elevator is out of order. Does Safeway think we go to shop for 1 item? If you have a load of groceries how are you suppose to get it upstairs to the 2nd floor without an elevator. You have to leave your store bought items in your cart downstairs and walk up the stairs with as many bags as you can carry and leave the other bags to come back down to pick it up? This is insane!

Went to buy a few items. While checking out I noticed that a 5 lb bag of Gold Medal flour was $6.49. Really! I remember not that long ago it was around $3.00. Well, went over to Target today and their brand of 5 lb bag of flour was just a little over $3.00. So, folks you know where to shop and not to shop, especially in this economy.

This is my neighborhood, Safeway, and I would say I got a chance to get to know some of the people there; they are all friendly. The Safeway is smaller than most Safeways, but it serves its purpose in the neighborhood. Sometimes, things that other stores have they might not carry here due to the size. There are no complaints about our go-to Safeway, and things are easy to find throughout the store.

This store is literally a scam with the actual worst customer service ever. They advertise and list sale prices but you need the app to "clip" the coupon. The app is full of glitches and displays only error messages so there is no way to get the advertised "deal." Sales associate (older gentleman Michael I believe) stated there is no override feature and is not able to offer so much as an apology, let alone actually able to sell the product at the advertised price. Huge bait and switch to get you into the store and then have to pay the higher prices. Also no bags in the bagging area.

I shop at this Safeway every Wednesday . I use to go to Ocean Beach , I live very close to this Safeway so decided to use my neighborhood Safeway . The amount of people stealing from this store is disgusting. Security in this store is not a prevention at all . Ocean Beach has armed guards , this Safeway has two older security guards that are not armed that do nothing . Every Wednesday hoards of kids pile in to steal as well as drug addicts . The amount of drug addicts that are in the neighborhood due to this Safeway is like nothing I've ever seen here . It's shocking . I watch every Wednesday the neighborhood problem homeless person walk in take what he wants , they call for security to walk him out . He does this everyday as no one stops him with the products . Shelves are bare of items that never were before . Good luck buying toothpaste . This morning I'm on the bus going by the Safeway , A guy jumps on with two big packs of toilet paper he just stole . I spend about $250 here every week , I live 4 blocks away . This is maddening !!!! Safeway you can do better then this . Safeway you make about 23 Billion per quarter ... you can do better . As a shopper I do not feel safe in this store .. it is truly unreal ... the loss of revenue from theft must be amazing in this store . This grocery worker would love to see it . Yes I am a grocery worker 20 plus years . I have stopped my fair share of thieves, I have never seen anything like this . Thank you for reading

Bought cream puffs today in Safeway, in Noriega st. The cakes smell sour and expired. I had to throw it in the trash can. Perhaps they should have been sued because my child might have gotten food poisoning? And it's not the first time.

I'm in SF taking care of my elderly aunt and find I needed some essentials so I looked up the closest Safeway which turns out to be on Noriega. I get there and there are no available carts. I don't like to use baskets because I inevitably end up lugging way more than I had anticipated plus I knew I needed sugar so it was going to get heavy. I see a bunch of carts and go to get one but they are locked up. I go to the clerk to ask if they can be unlocked and he says he can't but he will get a manager. The manager says due to theft, they cannot unlock them. Wait, what? So, you need carts but you are going to keep that 20 locked up so they don't get stolen? SMH. I am 63 years old, with back issues. I need a cart. She orders a worker to go up to the top parking lot and collect empty carts. I was just up there, and had been marveling at how clean and empty it was up there - no carts left parked randomly or rolling around in the wind - there weren't any. After waiting 5 minutes for a cart to free up or for the worker to get back, I started shopping. Another 5 minutes later, I returned to see if there were any available carts. No. So I put down what I had gathered and went outside to stalk someone to get their cart when they were done. There was a lady who was possibly the slowest grocery unloaded I had ever seen packing her car. I wait. And wait. And wait. It feel as as if she has slowed down even more since I had her in my sights. I'm beginning to realize that the manager's right and that maybe there's no carts because people take them. That's right, they pack them in their SUVs and bring them back when they are ready to shop again. Or maybe it's like the Hotel California, you can check in any time you like but you can never leave. Because the store is full of people with carts but no one's leaving. Then I spy a man unloading his cart and perhaps too eagerly rush up to him. "Need this?" he says. "Yes, please!!!" I roll off hardly even giving a thought to being annoyed that the sanitizing station looks as if it has not been replenished since late 2020. After I've finished, I finally collect my groceries and take the cart to the elevator to get to the second level parking. There's a tattered paper sign on the door saying "we apologize to our customers that the elevator is broken." Well no wonder the lot was so empty!! I lug my groceries up two flights of stairs thinking "never again." Welp, that's just my two cents for anyone else who may not be familiar with the area. I'd rather pay $8 for a jar of mayo at Gus's than go through that again and mind you, I'm poor and cheap but that was awful.

This Safeway is always well-stocked and organized. The cashiers are friendly and helpful. Rooftop parking is available, and be hopeful that the elevator is working.

One location of which I will never return. The store itself was half put together and reeked of low tide while shopping. Very small selection of items, cramped and crowded (surprisingly). Even after all of this I decided to try and power through the purchasing process only to be met with good ol' profiling. I was told prior to purchasing That I would only get bags based on the amount I purchased...? Not sure how I am supposed to guestimate the amount of bags I would need before putting the items in them. Any other day I would of just carried the items out in hand since I don't want to increase my own carbon footprint. But I had too many to carry and asked politely before being met with the "pay first" reply. This Safeway is smack dab in the middle of nowhere to begin with and not easily accessible to 90% of The City. However I was in the neighborhood and figured I would stop in. Terrible mistake. Overall this place is not the best place to go if you're of African decent. If you're heading to The City and forgot a few items I personally would set a reminder for yourself on one of your devices and not visit this store. If you still forgot there are other alternatives such as local bodegas and grocery stores in The City who value not only your business but will treat you in a respectful manner. As you can see from my other reviews I have not had the most pleasant experiences lately in The Bay Area...However! I write these reviews based on my experience so that others will benefit from the experiences that I have. But always do your own research!*small disclaimer* I have nothing against Safeway as a whole I do a lot of grocery shopping and unfortunately I have had a lot of negative experiences at these locations in the future I will find other Safeway locations that have treated me in a respectful manner and review them.

I like this location cause it has a Coinstar machine. Was able to finally convert my coin jar into an Amazon gift card. Plus I they have charging stations for EVs too.
