I ordered a custom bridal bouquet from this Safeway. I provided a photo for inspiration and they did an AMAZING job! I am obsessed with how it came out! So much cheaper than what any flower shop would have charged, but absolutely perfect nonetheless.

Don’t come here unless you want to be harassed. I was just perusing the aisles when a guy stocking shelves started being rude to me for no reason. He asked if I needed help in a sarcastic tone and when I told him I was just perusing / not looking for anything in particular at that moment (I had found all the things I came for now I was just looking as I don’t usually go here), he began to talk rudely about me to the other shoppers saying that I didn’t want his customer service. When I indulged his rudeness and asked for assistance as I walked away he began berating me to another customer again very loudly (my partner heard in a completely different aisle). I’ve never been in this store before and was minding my business so im not sure why this happened. Very unprofessional and I could even go so far to suggest it was racially charged. I was scared he was going to continue to follow and berate me for no reason so i left the store in tears.

Can you have whoever handles the plastic grocery bags smoke somewhere else? Because half the time I use them to bag my groceries it just reeks of cigarette smoke in my car on the drive home

I usually don't care about grocery stores, but I just wanted to note that the fried chicken here is fantastic, and a good value on Fridays.
The rest of the store has the standard stuff you'd find in an American grocery store of this size.

Small, Cozy, boutique feel. But not all sale items are stocked.

No doubt about their service as we expect as customers. There is one annoying thing that bothers me and many other customers. I'm a self-checkout user because I'm living close by, and I can buy my needs in multiple portions. One of the Safeway crews, a 60-70 years old asian lady, who is responsible for taking care of self check customer service, comes toward you and when you are going to start scanning items, she jumps on the survey and fills it up. This is inappropriate since these surveys are designed to collect customers' opinions, not the Safeway members' desires.
If you are reading this comment, please consider.

Make sure you come to Safeway for your $6.50 shattered pie crust and other expensive low quality products. This is the “working man’s” grocery store.

After paying for some breakfast and lunch for the day, I was on my way out looking for where to leave my basket, and a security guard and grocery employee both ran to the door where the security guard demanded to see my receipt. I was relatively shocked as I’ve seen about 100 shopliftings and never seen a security guard lift a finger to stop people from ransacking stores, but for some reason it was worth sprinting to stop and check my bag and receipt.
If you only have self checkout available and charge people for bags, don’t accost me at 8am after SEEING ME GO THROUGH CHECKOUT and putting it in my reusable bag.

Growing up all my life w/so many experiences in no longer supermarkets like Mayfair, Brentwood, Petrini's, Cala, QFI, Keys, Bell & the existent one's vary in customer service. I try hard to not tarnish any of the present market's reputation in support of our neighborhood but sometimes they push it. It's why Grocery Outlet or Smart & Final is doing so much better. I know everyone's tension is high now but sometimes it kills my shopping experience. One comes in mind is the Asian sushi making lady is reminds of the Nazi soup person on Seinfeld. I asked if she could add that orange sauce on top of my sushi box & the look on her eyes was like Wolverine. Everyone else seems to be friendly or @ least reasonable. My father retired from Safeway & remember when Safeway was higher in their games.
