Yes we accept donations but we are indeed a church! We do bell ringing, in fact when visit town Auburn, I am scheduled on a day I will be there to ring the bell! Yes we feed "friends" not as fortunate! However, again, please remember that we are indeed a church! Founded year 1865 by Methodist minister and his bride William Booth and Catherine Mumford Booth! We do teach from the Holy Bible! Glad any Food Bank any Salvation Army Corps I send used help children that town that state! This situation children my neighbor town San Francisco! I left my Heart in San Francisco!

Worst place ever. Hypocritical and pompous fools that put on a show for the cameras to get donated money, then waste it paying so called "ministers" that are half-witted losers that can't manage their own lives, much less help others. They receive government money and then grocery about rules that prevent them from using it for more church activities. Do not give them a nickel, they have billions yearly donated to them, plus billions in trust funds squirreled away. The items they pick and choose from donations are often stolen by employees. Christmas toys are routinely stolen by staff. They beg for turkeys and show empty freezers, but they hide the actual amount they have so it looks better. Their officers live in really nice houses owned by the salvation army, get a salary for husband and wife, free food, utilities, cars, cable, gasoline, petty cash, medical and dental for the entire family- all with your donations. If you're okay paying a fat hypocrite with your donations, feel free- but know the truth! I used to work for them until I couldn't stand the arrogance any longer...

I thought once a person got sober and graduated they would help them find work and housing. Well I don't think dumping them in downtown Sac at a homeless shelter with a bunch addicts and drunks is the proper thing to do. Well the salvation army depot family crisis center in Marysville did just that ,why even help them get clean and sober if your just going to go dump them right back in the middle of it all.

I was very blessed by the Salvation Army this past week, and for that, I have my electric and gas on. Thank you for your blessing to my family.

Review for their pick up service. Complete and utter incompetence. Total lack of respect for their donors. Scheduled a pick up one month ago, they cancelled the morning of pick up. The supervisor said they're short of drivers and "when they suffer, they're doners have to suffer also". Her words. I will never consider donating anything to this organization again, or giving them a single penny. Their arrogance and incompetence are beyond anything I have experienced.

Called them to pick up a mattress and a bookcase earlier which both look used but fairly new. The mattress is a queen size, about 4 years old, and the bookcase is barely used. Both are easily resellable as there's no damage and very little evidence of wear and tear. Yet they said they are not resellable. I've donated worse conditioned items before and they picked them up. So SA, if you only into furniture from the likes of BoConcept and some jacked up artisan sitting in the mountains of italy making a one off desk, you might as well camp outside of Pacific Heights. Good luck. God speed!

We love what Salvation Army does for it's residents, but they ALWAYS cancel pickups of donations at the last minute....what is UP with that?

We keep going to salvation army in susanville. No food, just coffee. They act like oh well no food. There are poor and homeless people here that need food. Why have a office and give nothing?

We keep going to salvation army in susanville. No food, just coffee. They act like oh well no food. There are poor and homeless people here that need food. Why have a office and give nothing? There are so many places they could go and get free food for the poor. All stores here give food . Thier excuse, someone quit. THATS no excuse. Salvation Army needs to send a field rep to the susanville store, they are a joke.
