My loan officer Kamila and their membership officer were very helpful and responsive, that I got membership and loan approved within 24 hours from my first communication. All processes and loans were completed before my vacation and SFFCU offered a fantastic loan rate.

I've called 2 days in a row. I can't get through to a human to help me with money that is being taken out of my account to pay for something Someone else ordered for me on amazon.cm that is reoccurring. I've had several strokes & can't walk or drive there. I'd need a ride. I prayed out loud. The universe always heard me.

The San Francisco Federal Credit Union is now using robots to "help" with log-in issues. Very frustrating. No help at all. In fact: infuriating! If this low level of service continues, I'll switch to a human bank.

I've been a member of SFFCU for many many years. I'd not change it for the world. My only complaint: long-term customer service reps being transferred to other branches without the rep requesting being transferred!

I tried to open an account with them. After being approved by SF Credit Union, they had difficulties receiving payment from my other bank to fund the account. I immediately ensured that the payment coming from my bank was authorized. SF Credit Union demanded that I drive 45min away from my house to be there in person to attempt another method to submit a payment. I instead demanded to resolve this issue virtually, to which they simply canceled my application. Not once did anyone attempt to provide customer support to resolve this issue. They offer very little incentive to bank with them and don't make it convenient for you to bank with them.

This bank was my favorite bank for many years, never had a problem, when something was suspicious, it was handled quickly and efficiently. For the last 1.5 years, I've had ID theft, frauds, representative tell me the wrong information, have been hung up on, etc. Sorry to give you such good news, but you need to hear the truth.

absolutely disgraceful, this place rests on its laurels, just because it offers great rates for those who can qualify doesn't mean that it's customer service is any better, the call center customer service on the whole is great, but there are so many problems with this credit union, they will charge you an overdraft charge a day after, they won't reimburse those charges even if the insurance happened the prior day, you have to go to all lengths to make that happen, and I don't think the institution is doing quite as well as it may appear, I could not recommend a worse place to do your banking, don't go, I get it I get that they have all these plush amenities, but find them in another Credit Union

One word -- SLOW. It takes too long to deposit/cash a check, and the tellers spend too much time chit chatting when there's a line. I joined the Golden Gate branch 6 years ago because it was convenient to where I live. Ever since I've avoided going into the branch unless it's absolutely necessary (give it 2 stars), and use the branch on Geary and 8th Ave the rest of the time. That Branch is awesome. I give it 5 stars.

I have been a member of SFCU for over 7 years and have to say the customer service is A # 1. Recently., my husband and I opened a HELOC and they were very helpful throughout the process and gave a competitive rate. Also, being a CU, my paycheck posts earlier which is nice. the mobile app makes life easier and i can easily access my accounts, deposit checks, or transfer funds.
