The San Francisco Human Services Agency provides essential public assistance, with experiences varying across its different offices. The 1440 Harrison Street location is noted as quite nice, where clients are allowed to keep their bags. In contrast, the Mission Street office near Market Street requires bags to be left unattended to the side. The Otis Street office is identified as the one that helps people with children. Service quality can feel like a hit or miss, heavily dependent on which staff member assists. Some clients report incredibly frustrating experiences, while others feel profoundly helped, receiving vital aid with IDs, shelter, food stamps, and other resources. Many employees are described as wonderful, patient, and professional, maintaining a warm demeanor despite working a thankless job where they face daily verbal abuse. Navigating the agency’s portal is generally seen as okay, though some questions require security protocols. The physical office on Mission Street is described as bleak. Finding a specific location can also be confusing, as addresses are not always clearly marked on the buildings.
These wonderful people who work at a thankless job who are abused and assaulted verbally daily by severe demoniacs embodied the quintessence of patience and I am humbled every time I go there and see the staff in action ask me a pastor a lot of times don't exhibit as much patience and long suffering as they do.

SFHSA is, by far, the best program in the Bay Area. I get support immediately and follow up is well in place.

I only took away a star because it didn't have the address on the building anywhere and is at an old school, so trying to find it was kind of confusing
