Everything went well! I want to give a personal shout out to the crew for excellent customer service! A special thank you to the undisputed artist NEIMAN WEST; He has hands! A true gift, knowledgeable on products and an educator of how to handle skin care. My Daughter birthday was a blast and I love to give props when they are due. BOOK, BOOK and rebook! I'm sure there are a lot of talented artist but when you feel the positive energy from an individual, one who love what they do.. umh hum, JOB WELL DONE! FYI: if anyone says anything negative about this artist.. one word LIES!

Hasana was a superstar today. She helped me find the perfect matching concealer. I was also able to hear about the Sephora credit card from her, which I was approved for, and she gave me valuable information about how to apply my eye makeup and use the different products that I purchased today - caffeine eye serum & concealer. Great job!

Went in on my birthday 2/20/24 for an ultimate glam appointment. I came in excited and on time ready to be glammed up. The makeup artist was really nice although it took him like 10 -15 minutes to come from the back. He started my make up and as soon as he started with the eyeshadow I knew. I kept taking glances at my face noticing that my make up is not looking how I imagined he already told me the first look I wanted he didn't have the materials for which is crazy we're literally in the makeup store anyway I let him keep going incase I'm jumping the broom. My friend who was with me had to walk away and "trust the process because it was that bad. Eyebrows terribly down eyeshadow was not blended what so ever. He also skipped a key part in eyeshadow which is primer for the color to stick. This man put the shadow straight on my eyelids like what??? He must could sense I was not happy anymore as he asked if everything was ok. It was not and I had to let him know as nicely as I could I don't like it. Plus I do my make up and get it done frequently. He starts to redo the brow and when I tell you I had to be on plunked because he just drew a huge black log on my eyebrow. At that point I was done and told him I need to cancel since they had no other artist there. This was the worst experience I've had at Sephora Powell. He is not a makeup artist and my birthday was ruined. I ended up going to emeryville Sephora and got help to just do it my damn self and I came out great!

this wednesday as i was in the perfume aisle with my boyfriend, this worker came up asking if we're members. i had a feeling she thought we were stealing bc of her tone. i replied yes and then ignored her but stayed in the aisle. i had the mini prada set in my hand (i was going to buy it) and went to the front. i then opened it but ultimately decided it wasn't worth it so i put it back (near the registers / the line where all the minis are) since that's where i had got it from. i went to the front of the store since i was looking at the glossier section and she goes, "are you going to pay for that or do you need a basket?" me and my boyfriend were both in shock as i'm the last person who would ever steal anything and replied that i had left it and wasn't stealing. she asked me where, i told her and we left so idk if she went to check but i wouldn't be surprised. horrible customer service. it's an older woman who's literally a person of color ... you'd think she'd think twice about it . the cashier didn't even look at me when i was right in front of him so for her to be on me especially since she's also a poc was bizarre to me. also the fact that they have security and people who actually specialize in loss prevention. like do YOUR job do better grandma. anyways i will definitely be contacting corporate bc it's unacceptable.

I'll give it 3 stars because today I went there, and 2 of the items I was going to buy looked like they were in sale (one of them was a mini Natasha Denona palette, and on that square were they had all of them, were 4 TAGS saying 50% discount with 4 different varieties of those mini palettes... You had a lot to choose from, but in 3 different varieties that were not on sale. Completely misleading).I asked for the manager, to let her know that, and that was not ok. Her answer was that it was just for people know that they can buy those online for that price... And she told me I couldn't have the discount on the item I wanted. I did not went to talk with her because I wanted her to do a discount on the mini palette, it is just not ok. That's all. Don't do that to your customers Sephora.

Massive cosmetics store, with many many brands. The part I can definitely complement is the staff who were very helpful in directing us to the things we need, and making recommendations for new brands that can fit any price range. The store is kind of rectangular too, and can extend in the back.

Employees were rude, unhelpful, and slow at checkout. They did not understand how I wanted to redeem my points, went back and forth for 10 minutes. One of the guys (with short hair and a stockier build with bad green eyeliner) was really rude when I was looking for lip products. He literally shook his finger back and forth and kept cutting me off. He was really kind to other customers and an absolute jerk to my Asian friend and I. I read the other reviews, racial discrimination in this day and age? Really?So condescending! Definitely the most disappointing experience I’ve had at any Sephora location.

What's the point of a physical store if you can't get/purchase a sample of the product you like ?♀️ I was ready to bite the bullet and buy a full bottle of the frag I liked but turned out it wasn't even in stock despite being on display lol Not blaming the staff -- I really doubt they are treated well enough to care.

I am discriminated today. When I tried a cream sample with small spatula, A staff came to me and took the cream and the spatula and yelled at me "GET OUT" several times. I was dumbfounded. I couldn't understand what she said. I am not a English native speaker but she said so fast and ignore what I am trying to say. Then when I ask the reason why she did like that to the customer she just move to other aisle. I am so embarrased. The only thing I did was I tried to use a cream sample with a spatula which is store provided. She was so scary when she yelled at me. I am never treated like that. I still don't understand why she did like that. I tried to call manager but it was almost 7pm so the store was closing soon and so busy. If she thought any behavior of mine was wrong, she should explain or let me clear, instead of yelling at a customer. and I can't imagine other reasons of her behavior except the matter of my race. I will contact the company and complain this matter officially. I should say she is not entitled to a salesperson.

It was my first time visiting a Sephora. It was absolutely beautiful inside and I can see why it's a body care go-to.Happily, they had exactly what I needed, making the trip quick and easy. At the counter, I was assisted by a wonderful person wearing the most fabulous Fraggle frock: well done, my friend; you rocked that look like a pro!Thank you for the free first time gift. I will definitely be back!

Wow, what a huge store with sooooo many selections to look at, I was so lost in there?Was looking for base layer and the helpful salesperson took me to the right area and I couldn’t decide what would work better for me, so she gave me some samples to try and than I ended up getting a slightly lighter shade than I first wanted. Good job!!?
