LYNN IS THE BEST! Every time she sees me she goes and gives me a hug and always gives me the best advice on products and skin! I look forward to having her help me every time. This location has some of the best Sephora customer experience you will ever have. This store specifically has some of the most welcoming, helpful, and personable staff. You walk in and are immediately greeted by multiple employees. Everyone there is super happy to help and their return policy is excellent.

Thank you Danielle, for helping me with a concealer which led to a color correcting skin tint, waterproof mascara & eyebrow pencil. I was originally looking for a concealer by Laura Mercier for my under eye area that was recommended by a lady who I follow on IG. I met Danielle, who inquired if I needed assistance, which I did, regarding color selection. After discussing the purpose, she said that her favorite concealer was by the brand IT. She determined that my skin was pretty fair with pink undertones, which was lighter than her initial thoughts so she switched up the concealer color & also recommended a skin tint with SPF 40 (I usually don't wear foundation but wear several layers of sunscreen due to previously living in Hawaii & skin protection). I never do anything with my eyebrows other than a little bit of plucking & she lightly colored in my brows so they weren't overwhelming (my fear was that I would have eyebrows like Angry Birds), which was perfect. I usually wear waterproof mascara due to workouts & she applied the IT Superhero waterproof mascara which really lengthened my lashes. I usually get my Sephora items online due to ease but I'm glad that I found Danielle, who was knowledgeable & helpful.

Had a bad experience here at the Union St location. First time at a Sephora store that I had a bad experience. They’re usually really helpful and friendly. This was my first time at the Union St location. The store wasn’t busy when I was there. Maybe 6 other customers. First, one sales person asked if I needed help and I said yes but then she walked away and helped another customer. That was a little weird. Then the next sales person got a little annoyed when I asked for help with a color match. Also be careful when you check out and they promote their store credit card to you. They were pretty deceptive and said store card (not credit card) and when I asked for clarification twice if it was a store membership they said it was. I know retail can be hard especially during the holidays so I try to be friendly and kind, but unfortunately had a bad experience at this location and sharing in case this is helpful to others.

Popped in for last minute shopping during a very quick trip to SF. Michael assisted us and was amazing. Customer Service at its best. Thankyou Michael!

The staff here is by far the worst I've seen across any Sephora store. They lack any type of customer service capability and do nothing to help you out. Would say this store should be closed but the location is too convenient - they just need new staff members who will actually do their job. The store also closes last minute outside of their stated hours often with no clarification, super odd.

I left a good number of products here since they told me they could hold them for 24 hours. Unfortunately when I came back the next day the products were nowhere to be found. Am very disappointed in the customer service at this location.

A nice and large Sephora. The staff was extremely helpful and super fun to chat with. I also received a few product recommendations that were right up my alley <3 always very clean and never too crowded, as the layout is very efficient and keep the center aisles mostly clear. The front of the store tends to get a little congested, but that’s not even close to the end of the world.

I had a beauty makeup session pre-booked (Union St) and was called 15 mins prior to cancel the appt. Which I understand can happen but what I did not like was the callousness with which they treated the cancellation. When I told them that the appt was important to me they did not have one idea on how they could help solve the problem (which was on their end) and asked me to go to another store like Nordstrom if I did not like their response. Customer service disaster.I did make them call another store and find me another appt something they should have offered to do on their own. Definitely lost one customer but they did not look like they cared.I am not going to name the staff as this is not about the particular people but the customer philosophy and values i think Sephora stands for which was totally lacking for me today.Every service business will get into a sticky situation with a customer, it’s how you treat the customer at that point that truly shows how good you are at customer service. Today that did not happen. I was made to feel small when I asked for a service or an alternate I was booked to receive and one I was depending for an event.

Absolutely insane, this Sephora is always changing hours and making it inconvenient for local customers. I showed up a minute after closing (now 4 PM) to pick up an order that was already put together and just needed to be scanned, and they refused to give it to me.

I've been coming here since Sephora opened on Union street and have always had positive experiences. Today was not the case. I recently went to my dermatologist to do a patch test after a few years of bad skin reactions and itchiness. After I got my patch test done I found out I can only wear a limited amount of brands/specific makeup within them that don't contain my allergens. It's been rough but I'm trying my best to figure it all out. I came in today to switch my makeup, I was hoping for some quick help to get me matched and out the door as I had a work meeting in an hour and a half. A very young associate named Devin approached me and asked if I needed help. I said yes and asked if she could help color match me, she got out her camera app to take pics of my skin and then went to try to find the corresponding bare essentials shades. I then realized how new she was after she couldn't find the colors as they had updated them (not sure how recently) and the colors that she could find were out of testers. She asked me if the ones she pointed at would work and I said I don't know- and then said I like to look more tan than pale and usually go for neutrals- I pointed to one and she couldn't find a tester and had to get permission to open one. I asked her if there was a sanitized brush I could use to test and she said there were only sponges and lipstick applicators. Another associate came over to give her permission to open a tester and I asked her if I could sanitize the brush on display- thankfully she did (thank you whoever you are, you're my one star!) after this experience I asked Devin how long she had been working there and she said she was new working here for the summer. Me- being on a time limit- asked if there was someone with more experience/ability to open testers who could help me. She said most of her associates were the same level as her and that she would send arianna her manager over. I waited, and then a woman working the benefit section asked how I was doing and I said Ariana was coming over. Arianna was no where to be found.. Another young looking associate asked if I was ok and I told her I was waiting for Ariana. I finally had to go through the testers that were there to color match myself while I waited for her to hopefully come over. Yet Another young looking associate came over and asked if I needed help and I told them, after finding a tester that seemed to work, that I needed the color which wasn't out, they found it for me and a bronzer and then I went to look at the blush and finally a blonde woman who looked irritated came over and said hi do you still need help, in a very irritated tone. I said oh I was waiting for arianna or Adrianna manager to come over to help and she said I'm Arianna I'm one of the managers and then said "we've been sending people over to help but you keep saying you don't need any" confused and taken aback I explained the situation and said I didn't realize that was the case, as I had been waiting for her. then in an irritated tone she asked if I needed anymore help. After this awful experience I declined, bought what I found myself which was around $140and then quickly left, not getting the other items I needed because I had such an awful experience. I will not be coming back to this location and highly suggest customer service training for those on the floor as that was awful. I worked at Nordstrom in college and would have never treated a customer the way they treated me today.

Everyone there was annoying and rude in a nice way. I don’t go to Sephora to be told I have a acne face. Trust me, I already know. I didn’t ask for help but in the 10 mins I was there I was approached 3-4x.
