Unfortunately I received a gift card for Shell gas.More expensive than Costco.I pulled into station .A moron fastly driving a car,obviously working at the station almost backed into me.I used my horn for a while to get this idiots attention. I will never go here again.I hope whoever is stupid enough to leave their car at this gas station for repairs reads this.

Got gas here the other day. Prices are regular shell prices--just above the normal. Didn't feel unsafe here mid day. It's right off the street for easy in/out access. Station was relatively clean and not a ton of gasoline all over the concrete. Credit card machine works and keypad was clean too. Handle and spout in good working order

Always have come to this Shell for smog checks (3-4 times now). Like others have mentioned, mention Yelp discount for better pricing. I just got mine done today (Jan 17, 2024) and I think pricing went up a few dollars but not by a lot. Total was $54.95 today. The guys here are usually really quick (no longer than 30 minutes) but I usually come in the mornings so I can't speak for later in the day. Today I actually had 3 other cars in front of me but it still didn't take more than 30 mins. I really appreciate the guy running the smog checks today. He was hustling, running back and fourth when he really don't need to but it's awesome to see him taking his job seriously and wanting to get customers in and out to go about their days. As soon as a customer pulls up, he grabbed a clipboard and ran over to them. When customers were on their phones while sitting in the waiting area, the employee came over to let them know it's ready instead of yelling out their names. Just little things to made it a pleasant experience. Taraval also has a few coffee shops in the area so you could also go hang out somewhere and check back in later!

YELP out for Taraval/19th Ave Smog Test! No hassle 30mins in and out. Sorta hilly. Using a cane. They let me sit in my passenger seat to wait. They repositioned the car off the hill once done. Then brought the bill to the car. Little things mean so much. Kindness abounds! Mention Yelp for a discount.

Gas Station and Smog Check Center next to each other but are separate companies. I went inside shell gas station after mechanics told me I failed the smog test and Deyvin the cashier was very nice and helpful. He recommended what I should do to pass smog and recommended me to go to his auto shop that is honest and will not overcharge me. Thank you for your kind service and honesty Deyvin! Not many people have honesty these days. Considering you were at the store and not mechanic side you knew alot about cars you should be a mechanic! Promote Deyvin to mechanic!!! Will definitely be back for gas and snacks when Deyvin is working.

I attempted to get gas, and the credit card reader messed up. It didn't have a working chip reader, then inserting the card sent it to a blank screen for several minutes. It said to see attendant. Both the attendants were looking right at me and ignored me and the situation. I dont have time for your shenanigans. No sale, no future sales, and you know I'll be naming this Shell location when I tell my followers on livestream about how poorly this went . Hire competent people who actually help. Your attendants are either rude or stupid.
