About Shelton Theater

The Shelton Theater, founded in 1993 by Matt Shelton, is a part of the historic Shelton Studios founded in 1961. It hosts and produce live performances of stand-up comedy and improv, as well as fine art installations. In addition, the theater offers acting and improvisation classes. With its two intimate venues, the Shelton Theater has provided a stage for thousands of performing artists and established 533 Sutter St as a destination for arts lovers.

    Great show and bar! I enjoyed the access to the comedians following the show.

    Ever been at the Shelton theater? It’s a super small comedy theater, the 5 comedians yesterday 7/21/23 were hilarious! The bar only serves drinks, if you want to eat before Del Popolo is around the corner, 2nd best pizza spot in the city!
