Sabrina was super great! I usually feel intimidated going to hair salons since I don't go too often, but Sabrina was super welcoming and took a moment to make sure she understood where I was in my haircare journey, took the time to figure out the look I wanted to achieve, and also thoughtfully share some ideas of her own. In the end, I did decide to go with her suggestion for my cut, and I couldn't be happier with the result! Overall, a super relaxing experience!

Salon is amazing! Very cute and modern. I saw Ana, who was fabulous! She understood my wants and concerns while making it easier to part with my hair. I have long hair and am pretty attached! Cut itself was amazing and made me super confident! She took the time to listen and forreal did exactly what I asked for. Will totally come back for the recommended cut in December!

I love coming to this salon its an hour plus trip from where I live but the stylist here Ana always hears me out and knows how to cut style and color my hair with my exact vision in mind making the trip worth its while ! Wish I could make the visit out more ! 10 out 10 !

I came to Steel + Lacquer excited for a haircut I'd been saving up for since it's a higher end salon. From the start, I felt truly listened to and cared for. The salon uses high quality products like Kerastase and Oribe, and the whole vibe feels very professional, clean, and welcoming.
I didn't end up loving my initial haircut 100%, so after a week I called the salon to see if there was any way to fix it. Jarrod was incredibly understanding and kind. He got me in the very next day and took the time to explain what went wrong, what to ask for in the future, and how to work with my hair type and texture. He really went above and beyond to make sure I left happy and confident, and I absolutely did!! The fix was perfect, and I walked out feeling so much better about myself and my hair.
It's rare to find a salon that cares this much about your experience. Steel + Lacquer is one of those places. The service is top-tier, and you really get what you pay for. I'll definitely be back. Thank you to Jarrod and his team!

I’ve been to them in the past and always loved my haircuts. I even debated in posting this review cause the stylist has always been nice to me.
My last haircut, they asked me to sign a waiver to basically forgo your right to sue them and to give consent or not give consent on having your hair featured on their social media. I felt very pressured to sign this despite never having to do this at any salon in the past or with past visits. To me as a customer, it felt like the business was truly only out for themselves and the waiver itself made me feel like they could just do whatever to a client and not feel like they will held accountable.
For some reason, the same appointment I had when I signed this was the only time I felt like my haircut was butchered. Maybe the stylist misunderstood me or made an honest mistake. (Though I’ve been the same one for a year now) I don’t know cause I never got an explanation.
The sad part is, I didn’t really see the mistake until the blowout the stylist did has waned/ been washed away.
Like it wasn’t supper terrible but I honestly have not had my hair down in public since I got my haircut because the layers felt uneven on the bottom and very flat. It looks bad untied unless it’s in a high ponytail. My hair has never been “flat” as I used to have very thick and dense asian hair all throughout.
I did let them know about being disappointed and explained that I didn’t want to get my hair any shorter that what was recently cut. There really was no way for fixing it….
They sent me a generic message (looks like a template) to let me know that the stylist is more than happy to remedy it. After I already texted that there was no way of fixing the haircut without cutting more hair.
I love the products they sell and the kerastase treatment they do, but may not come back for a haircut as I haven’t been this disappointed in a haircut in 15 years.
