After being missed diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and given two upper endoscopic procedures in two days I was coldly sent home in the middle of the night by Drs. Wardak, Patel and El Dabajeotg. Many procedures were duplicated based on previous failures, mis diagnosis. For an entire week I was told that I had cancer and I was terrified and thought that death was imminent. This entire experience and getting "released" when I still in a lot of pain is utterly unacceptable. I will be reporting all of this to the medical board of California. I told them that I do not feel stable and Dr. Wardak specifically stated that I was and that my room was allocated for. I hope I'm fine and nothing bad happens to me! Signed, Alive, hurt and extremely tired.

Courteous and professional staff.

Tried calling many times over the course of several days. No one ever answers the phone or returns calls when a message is left asking for a call back.

It's never fun getting an MRI but I had a good experience at the imaging lab. The staff were friendly and the wait time was minimal. They were also incredibly responsive when I called to get my images sent digitally to other specialists. They picked up the phone very quickly and agreed to send my records over straight away. That was truly a 5 star experience because it's usually so much work getting records sent around. The parking lot is expensive but convenient if you don't want to circle for street parking (and some MRIs can take longer than 2 hours.)

Horrible! No dedicated parking spot for disabled patients.. have broken foot in cast and they have no white zone for patient drop off. Terrified that I will fall down using my walker getting to the door located on a hilly street in a very congested area. UCSF has dedicated drop off parking at all their facilities. And no one there will help.Jason, Baloney. Your words mean nothing. UPDATE: my appt was a nightmare. 1. The wheelchair I requested and was confirmed: did not show up 2. The facility actually has a drive-up spot for unloading: BUT THERE IS NO SIGN ON THE DOOR! So no one sees it. I had to crutch my way in the street to reach old torn-up stairs: with a soiled handrail.Facility is filthy: lobby floors are torn up and soiled; courtyard is under construction: loose tiles everywhere plus standing water from leaks. This is where I had to crutch my way to the office door. And the door to imaging is the farthest point from the elevator.Sutter Health only cares about money. Not patients. See photos: does this look like a facility or a slum?

I went in to one of the offices to ask for help (suite 201) and the lady at the front desk was absolutely terrible! She had me almost in tears and I had only asked her for help finding my way around. Who works in that sort of position if they don’t like people. I was forced to go to another office and I found help in suite 208. Sutter apparently does not require their staff to care about their job, it’s totally hit or miss.

Be honest the new CPMC was good and comfortable. But every time we come here need to check ID and get a visitor tags for get into it , that's wasted time and not that convenience. Like my mom from a different country she doesn't has any US ID so she have to bring her passport just for come in to visit me. Also I need to come here every once a week even I come early almost a hour still couldn't find a parking for an patient. Feeling so bad

EDIT: This review is for the CPMC lab at 1375 Sutter Street, SF. This saddens me to write this, as I am a Sutter employee. My 17 year old daughter went today for a lab and Lili, the receptionist was incredibly rude to her. In fact she made my daughter cry. My daughter was in terrible pain and she was yelled at and berated for not bringing her insurance card, for not speaking loudly enough, etc. She did not know she was going to end up at the lab today and did not have her insurance card with her. Instead of being nice and doing things the Sutter way, Lili chose to berate her. Again, my husband and I are both Sutter employees. We know that Lili could of said, no problem, you are a Sutter patient and we can look it up in your file, or she could of said, have your mom email us a copy. Any other choice would of been acceptable. You do not yell at your customers. We don't expect special treatment, but we do expect to be treated humanely and compassionately. Maybe Lili was having a bad day, but so was my daughter and Lili made her cry. We will never refer anyone to this lab or return.

Always long lines. Annoyed workers. They always have computer others. The employees are always complaining the equipment doesn't work.

This comment refers to the new CPMC - Emergency Rm on Franklin at Post where I waited 4 hr (in pain) to be admitted. Bottom Line: They didn't listen to what my doctor had to say about why I was there, they duplicated tests I had already just taken elsewhere (and had FAXed to them), did many tests that didn't have anything to do with my complaints (at least one VERY EXPENSIVE one, probably to pad their bottom line), . . . and then "kicked me out" at 3 am. without one helpful diagnosis, suggestion, or offer of further treatment. Just a lot of tests. The young doctors there seemed to be following a "template" (like automatons) that did not require or allow for wisdom or personalization. Even though I had been coughing up yellow phlegm for 3 wks., had a very high white blood count, and there was a shadow in my lungs, they declared that I did not have pneumonia. (I do.) I was also suffering intense pain (from polymyalgia, we suspected). I kept complaining, but they ignored me as I was sent from test to test. I was dismissed (more like "kicked out") at 3 a.m. told to go back and see my personal physician. Summary: Understaffed, undercapactiy (not enough beds), automaton doctors, took lots of tests including ones having nothing to do with my complaints. And coldly send me (a senior citizen in PAIN!) off into the dark morning (3 a.m.) without a second thought! I would say they did nothing useful for me. But I'm sure, when I see the insurance invoice, it will confirm that they made a lot of money off me.

Note: many of the reviews here are for other CPMC locations, such as the main hospital. This review is for the imaging lab at 1375 Sutter St. My experience here today was as good as it gets in health care - a ten out of ten. The woman who checked me in (petite with long dark hair) didn't judge when I told her I lost my parking card. She was sympathetic and even went down and told the attendant about my situation, and the time that I arrived so I wouldn't be charged for a whole day. The other woman who did my scan was also very warm and professional; I wish I remembered their names because they were both the type of employee that any business would be fortunate to have. I was in and out promptly, and the parking attendant was also very helpful. I would gladly go back to this location if I need x-rays, etc. in the future.

Sutter Heath medical is a billing machine at your expense. It's not about patient care - it's about doing procedures that generate them revenue. My sutter affiliated doctor thinks I need this medical test - and sends me directly to sutter hospital to get the test. The sutter doctor never mentions the estimated cost - the sutter hospital processes me through like its the Indy 500 without anyone mentioned cost. When the bill comes for over $6000 and I complain - the collections department tells me "tough - pay the bill". When I escalate for a review - I get this nice letter in the mail telling me it's my fault for not going to a computer and investigating the cost. Never mind that the person at sutter who wrote that nice record can tell from the on line medical records that I was directed straight to the hospital from the doctors office. AVOID SUTTER!!

This is, indeed, "as good as it gets".... I spent only a short two nights in this hospital, but during my short stay, I found ALL of the staff -- from mobile bed support staff to room cleaners, hospital volunteers, nurses aids and RNs and physicians to be just as friendly and helpful as they were knowledgable and efficient. The processing of patients in and out of surgery is run like a factory, but this is a factory that somehow has magically maintained a most reassuring and supportive as well as friendly environment.

Unbelievable poor service. The insurance company billed them wrong and instead of waiting for me to call the insurance and to have it fixed, the rep threatened to have it go into collections. This is for an amount of under $5 that was incorrect. Really tells a lot about how much they care about patients.
