The place is gorgeous! I was here for the Jewish Film Festival opening night party. So this is where the grownups mingle. Located in the War Memorial Veteran's Building, it's upstairs on the second floor. If you're wearing fancy heels I recommend the elevator vs elegant staircase. From the loggia you have an unobstructed view of City Hall. At night it feels so swanky & cosmopolitan. This is a rare opportunity to feel underdressed in your standard San Francisco issue down jacket, polar fleece & sneakers. Wait, this room is in an administrative building? I thought I was standing in a mansion ballroom. Suddenly, your party has been upgraded to a soirée. The Beaux-Arts architecture makes a great canvas for the creamy mint green walls, flourishes of gold leaf, chandeliers, and grand curtains. And so I dusted off my party dress and hid the Uniqlo ultralight in my bag. I could definitely see a Bridgerton theme party here.
