This place was clean and served our needs but given that it carries a Hyatt name, I was expecting a more updated place. The front desk was friendly and helpful. It was pricey but it is San Francisco. It worked for us as we needed to be close to the Kaiser hospital where my husband was having open heart surgery. The garage parking is in addition and was $42 per night.

Place was super loud, and there is a bus that literally runs down the street all night long. Not even ear plugs could block this out. They had communal toiletries (soap, shampoo, conditioner...), but my room was missing some and there was a sign indicating that I would be charged if any of the toiletries were missing. There was also a whole assortment of very odd things that happened at this hotel such that I was offered a "free night." When I called to redeem this free night, the owner literally said it was nice of me to try to give his hotel another shot, but they were not going to honor the free night. When I asked why, he gave me a roundabout answer that basically suggested that they offer this if there are issues, but they have zero intention of following through.

Wifey choose this property to stay here for her birthday. I work in Norcal so I was already in town before she arrived. Checked in, the front desk lady was outstanding. I was sticker shocked but then again, I don't stay at 5 star hotels while I'm traveling for work. Location was nice, room was big, had a kitchenette, nice bathroom and good pillows. And don't forget to say hello to Snoop while you're there, he'll be sleeping under the desk.

Globalist here. Very nice classic old school modern retro design. I think this location was originally built in maybe the 50s and 60s. 3 story building with about 50+ rooms; some have kitchenettes. The lobby is nice and relaxing; I will admit the elevator was a bit scary so we decided to take the stairs ? rooms were quiet and spacious. The bathroom had a nice clean design, the water was a little stingy coming from the shower but we understand it was for environmental reasons. The front desk even sent us up gluten free items for breakfast which was a very nice touch. There's no spa or gym but the JCC is across the street and is free for globalists (small fee for everyone else). It was a little odd that the window in the room completely opened wide, but if you need air that's actually a nice option. I've just never seen that before in a hotel. I would definitely recommend this location for the price!!

Now there is no place in sfo where you can be in abundance and grace.Other than two the Indian Consulate and this place maned by this charmingly seductive lady Ms Gill Eklof . I didn't know Nordic woman are so magnetic and classy and so so subtle. After all Sweden is next to germany. And well we know how clinical Germans are..there is no room for ruhaniyat.Anyways. So this hotel gives you freshly baked cookies and the if you are polite to the lady she will get you some high tea herself. The rooms are super luxury and chic ..very stylish..looks like an old classy holllywood, Marlene moonroe or jackie kennedy kind of a place. I am unable to place it.. its just so calming that all judgements cease to be.It gets you into a flow.If you are lucky you will the lady who will just randomly help you with 4 luggage weighing almost 65kgs.Then you meet the guy who mans it in the night and he is happy and married..beat that. He is a pilot and dreams of becoming richard bach. He is good. And then there is this another lady who is so beautiful and tall , I think she is like a pashtun..bold beautiful and very powerful and yeah very very helpful..Everyone likes to be treated nicely. But one has to start with being nice. Paying money doesn't make you entitled to good service. Be good and you will see the love flow in this place.Nearby activities: Safe. . Beautiful .. like how sfo was.

I stayed at Laurel Inn from 8/25/23-9/14/2023. I had to spend this time in San Francisco to be close to the hospital I had treatment for 3 weeks. Considering how long I had to stay in one hotel/Inn, I could have not had a better experience. Every staff member from front desk to management to house keepers and to the ones who made the delicious scones and cookies and anyone I came in contact with WERE absolutely the best. All courteous, professional, very helpful and accommodating. The lobby was small and quaint, coffee was always fresh and very clean. The rooms were very spacious, had a great view, very clean and comfortable. Never had any problems with WIFI. It was located in a perfect place for shopping, plenty of restaurants and just taking daily walks. I can honestly say in the 2 plus weeks I stayed there I never ever had one complaint. I would definitely recommend the Laurel Inn/San Francisco to everyone and would definitely stay there again.

I really liked this place and will stay again. It is close to great, non touristy , neighborhoods and parks, so great location for some, like me, but maybe not for everyone. It is not fancy with no lobby to speak of, but the rooms were large and stocked with nice amenities. Comfy beds, nice linens, everything clean and new feeling. I didn't get to try their food place, not sure if it's a bar with snackish bites or full restaurant, but it looked well worth a try. I didn't park my car, but people complaining about $30 a day in SF are nuts, that's a normal to low price.

Just had a wonderful 2 day stay. Very convenient for good restaurants (had great Sushi down the street at Tataki) and we got a ton of exercise in walking the neighborhood. A lot of hills but close to beautiful scenery with The Presidio and Palace of the Arts.Staff was very friendly, rooms were comfortable. They have coffee and tea all day, as well as the delicious cookies in the afternoon. Appreciated the water and ice machine in the lobby as well.Overall a great spot and we will look into another stay when back in town!
