Visited this place for drinks; had martinis. This place is so pretty and has a very nice vibe. They serve complementary chips and olives. Our waitress was wonderful, and we had a great time.

I had a decent dining experience. The food was satisfactory, but it didn't exceed my expectations in any way. The service was friendly, but not exceptional. The ambiance was clean and comfortable, but didn't stand out. Overall, it was a solid, middle-of-the-road restaurant that met my basic needs, but didn't leave me feeling impressed or eager to return. If you're in the area and looking for a reliable, unremarkable meal, Pied Piper will do the trick. Just don't expect to be wowed.

The burger wasn't too bad and if I ever had a chance to go back I would ask to caramelize the onions. The portion size was a bit to much for myself and have never been a fan of throwing pickles on top of the bun. Just feel like it changes the taste of the first bite. Overall it wasn't o bad but I can't see how it justifies the price. The place was gorgeous inside that matched the appearance of the hotel itself it was in.

Sorry. I stay at the Palace frequently and I want to love this bar, but it is mediocre at best. The bartenders are lazy and indifferent, giving zero energy to the bar and struggling to delivering anything but the most basic drinks (and even those they don't do well). They give no extra effort (can they really not locate a grapefruit for a twist in the entire hotel??). Spirit selection is average and uninspired. The entire place feels like an afterthought. Easy solution...go across the street to the House of Shields.

If you want a table, be the first in line at opening. We waited a long time. The place is small and for being in the hotel, you'd think that they would have way more tables and seating. The waiter was really nice. The food was decent as well. I would go again if I'm staying at The Palace, but now I know to get there early.

I love the ambiance of this restaurant/bar nestled in the gorgeous Palace Hotel. Service is always on point. I've never been disappointed with the food. I always order the truffle fries with aioli. The charcuterie plate, green goddess salad, and wagyu burger are also delicious. Although good, the drinks are way overpriced (reason for 4/5 rating). However most drinks are in the area. If you want a solid experience overall while, it's definitely worth it.

4.5 stars, rounded up to 5Thumbs up:- Classy and cozy atmosphere- Friendly and helpful service- Complimentary olives and BBQ potato chips- Well-made cocktails- Very tasty food, nicely presentedNeeds improvement:- Man those prices, seemingly expensive even for an SF hotel, particularly re starters & cocktails (latter at $21-25 + tax + tip? OUCH!)- Crab appetizer was decent, but accompanying bread choice was poor (overpowers the other flavors)- Mains options surprisingly limited- Lemon tart not very tart (too sweet)

There's a lot of seating space. It's quieter than a regular pub.Cocktail and beer selection is pretty much average. Complimentary chips didn't taste good. Wouldn't recommend for drinks. Didn't try the food.

LOVE this place. Amazing decor, great service, awesome drinks. Only negative is that it can get very busy. Highly recommended.

I'm mostly giving it stars because of the art history at this bar. We got tea so I have no idea how their drinks are. The tea was satisfying though and the service was good enough.

We went to the restaurant, but they said they can not do take out. So we had to order via room service (which comes with fees of course) and a huge waste of time. Food- the green goddess salad was great. But everything else as mediocre. Price- pricey but that is expected given it is in a hotel. Ambience- cute, I would have liked to eat there but it was too crowded and we were trying to avoid large crowds due to rise in Covid again. Staff- waiters were not very polite but the host was more professional. I would order the green goddess salad again, but only if they did take away. And if I was staying in the hotel and didn't have other food options.

We came in during happy hour, so it wasn't busy at all. The space is beautiful and we had zero issues with any service. The problem really just lied with the drink menu, it wasn't anything special, very spirit forward and overpriced. You can order off menu as well, so that might influence an update to this review if I return.
