The Terraces Apartments offer traditional San Franciscan living in the Polk Gulch neighborhood. The rent-controlled studio and one-bedroom homes are newly renovated with updated kitchens, granite countertops, oak flooring, and fantastic views from large windows. The location provides the convenience of downtown living, steps from public transportation, shopping, restaurants, Polk Street, the bay, and the Financial District. The management and staff are described as exceptional, helpful, kind, and compassionate, taking concerns seriously and resolving maintenance requests very quickly. The community is friendly and the place is overall very well managed. The area is busy enough to feel safe. The experience of leasing and living there is smooth, great, and highly recommended, though there have been occasional notes about communication changes.
Overall the first time experience of leasing an apartment was not too bad, nor overly stressful, I am satisfied with my experience, with that said, on the flip side the apparent lack of communication after a change of staff was a bit problematic and the reason I give 4 *'s instead of 5.

Absolutely love my apartment! Michael and Ricky always take care out any needs for the apartment or questions I have. The area is busy enough with tourist that I feel safe in being a women living alone. Highly recommend this location!
