Took my ninja 400 here for them to find a hole in flat tire and gave honest feedback and didn't charge me arm n a leg for them to look at tire. Turns out probably a jealous neighbor let the air out of my tires. They put air in my tire and sent me on my way. Honest guys, great shop.

MOST HONEST MOTORCYCLE SHOP IN SF!* Shawn has literally turned down business from me on 3 separate occasions because it wasn't necessary. A mechanic shop turning down $ for the sake of Honesty. For context, I am a beginner rider and have come into the shop 3 distinct times, convinced that my bike needed repairs and fully ready to hand over $ to get the issue fixed. And on all 3 occasions Shawn and his mechanic explained to me that the issue didn't require service or $.Shawn has always explained everything clearly to me and NEVER made me feel like an idiot no matter how basic my questions. He goes above and beyond to help his customers and always done it with the utmost level of professionalism.

(no rating)it's more of a repair shop than a dealer, as the selection is tiny, I mean about 15 bikes total! Mostly sporty boy's bikes (ew), maybe a scooter or two (kymco, paggio), and a few touring (Kawasaki w750).

Sean is amazing! I bought my first bike from him and he has helped me constantly throughout the years. I remember the first time I had to get gas and I had a bit of trouble with the tank.. Sean not only responded via text on a weekend after hours ,he actually called me and walked me through it. He recently helped me get my new bike and couldn't be happier with the service and advice he provided. Good service and honesty rarely exists in the service anymore. Sean and his crew run the best moto shop in the bay..hands down.

I used to like this shop. I’ve always brought my wheels and new tires in to be mounted and balanced for a fixed fee of about $35 per wheel.Today I did the same except that I got charged hourly instead for 0.6 hr @ $133/hr. Which came up to $80 to mount a single tire (wheel brought in). How do you go from $35 to $80? No cool.

Shawn & the guys at TokyoMoto are top notch. Experts in the field and wouldn't want any less for work on my bike. While in the middle of a cross country trip, I encountered some mechanical issues with my '07 V-Strom that were beyond my DIY expertise (lol). Shawn made some availability during a busy time to get me back on my trip as quickly and as cost efficiently as possible. They explained thoroughly their diagnosis and their solution, making me feel confident in their work and in the safety/ride-ability of my bike. Would highly recommend this shop if you're in the Bay Area and need work done. Best in the biz! Thanks guys! -Eric from Queens

This is coming from someone who runs a bike shop myself and was a recent service manager. So... I would like to say I have a little experience with this type of business and environment. I would recommend these guys to anyone who loves motorcycles and moto culture. The owner does a great job of keeping just about everything yoy need in stock and knows the quality parts to sell. I commute on my drz and he keeps lots of parts for my bike in stock. I even had to rebuild my fule petcock and boom. He had it in stock. Recently he helped me with a chain issue and went above and beyond. Now I feel much safer than I did and that means the world to me and my loved ones. And finally, they are very understanding and don't have a huge ego that you get from some small shop guys. I already send everyone I know in the area to them and will continue to as long as Sean, Bob, and that great mechanic are there. Cheers guys and thanks for keeping my baby on the road!P.s. great shop for drzs / sumo hooligans like myself

WOW! These guys are so nice! I got my handlebar grips, oil and tires changes done. Initially, I called CalSpeed Moto and that tech was probably the rudest guy I'd ever spoken to. I would NOT recommend going there. When I called ToMo I spoke to Sean and explained that I had stripped the bolt of my bar end. He was super nice and very understanding of my situation and patiently explained that sometimes these are a pain to remove on newer bikes and was very upfront about the cost. I decided to go through it anyway and the job ended up costing less than he originally quoted. Sean also told me that I needed new tires and showed me the amount of tread I had left. He told me it wasn't safe to ride on and suggested taking a Lyft home to think about moving forward with the service. I shopped around for some tires and it turns out that ToMo is very competitive with their pricing and will match online sellers like Revzilla and Cyclegear. Cyclegear will mount and balance tires but you need to unmount the wheels and bring them in yourself. Anyways I'm very glad I went with ToMo and I'd be happy to recommend them to anyone I know!

I called last Monday around 11:30,no answer or machine to leave a message. Called back Wednesday of last week but the person on the phone couldn't answer my questions and asked for my name and number so Shawn could call me back. Never received a call so I called yesterday to get a suggestion on my motorcycle. Spoke with Shawn who seemed agitated and like he didn't have the time. I asked if I could bring the bike in as I understand it's easier to figure out a problem with the bike physically there. He flat out told me no, the problems sound like they'd be too time consuming and they were short staffed so they're only taking small repairs that could be in and out quickly. Never heard of a mechanic that can't take on engine work.

I was having issues with my Yamaha 2014 FJR1300 running a little rough. I scheduled a time and brought it in. Shawn and his team did an excellent job and had it back to running smooth by the end of the day. Easy drop off and pick up.
