After being unwell for over three weeks with a stomach virus, I forced myself to make the 30-minute walk to this Trader Joe's location to stock up on groceries. I am so grateful I chose this store!
From the moment I walked through the doors, every team member I encountered was professional, courteous, and genuinely helpful. In today's retail environment where mediocre service is the norm, this level of care was truly refreshing.
Special Recognition for Éle:
I want to highlight an exceptional floor associate named Éle, who was stocking in the frozen food section. Despite being clearly busy with her tasks, she took the time to patiently answer my many questions about various frozen products. What impressed me most was her complete focus and attention - she maintained eye contact throughout our conversation and never seemed rushed or distracted.
Éle's genuine engagement made me feel valued as a customer, which honestly made me want to purchase more items. Her outstanding customer service perfectly embodies Trader Joe's Mission Statement and Core Values of integrity, community care, and providing exceptional value.
I was so impressed that I spoke with the manager to commend Éle's performance. Her sales skills and genuine decency are exactly what make Trader Joe's stand out from other grocery stores.

As someone who has stopped shopping at many San Francisco stores due to excessive security measures that create an unwelcoming atmosphere, Trader Joe's feels like a breath of fresh air. The entire team creates an environment that is safe, welcoming, and respectful - exactly what shopping should be.

I like this Safeway. Staff are polite, approachable and knowledgeable about products! 4/5 stars because it can be tricky to locate if you’re not familiar with the entrance and finding it off the street by foot can be tricky as well. Parking not always easy to come by. Security here made the place feel safe.

TJs on 9th St, moved toilets to easier access for customers, well stocked, great team. Lots of parking now that bbb is closed.
