This shop is super convenient to have in the neighborhood. It has most of the basics we need to keep a house running, and the staff are friendly and helpful. We have been shopping there for 15+ years, and have never had an issue. Just approach a staff member and ask for help and you will get help with whatever you need.

The owner that works there as a cashier is probably the cheriest friendliest nicest most informative person you'll ever meet. And yes they have about everything and if they don't have it he will know where to get it!!!

They have everything you need here. It's a quick experience and you don't have to wait in long lines at big box stores or wait for shipping. They also have a large paint area where they customize any paint color. Their key selection is pretty crazy too.

Sunset True Value has become my go-to for their friendliness, knowledge and exceedingly good customer service. I had been once or twice over the years but started a house renovation this year and find myself there more than once a day at times. In short, the guys that work here are the difference. Sure the big box places have more stock, but I find myself wasting 20 minutes every time I go just looking for the right aisle. At Sunset True Value, I walk in, describe what I need, and George or Eddy will literally walk you straight to it, point out options and answer any questions. I had an issue with a nail gun valve/coupler - not only did they trouble shoot numerous issues with my current setup, but they let me hook it up to my compressor outside on the sidewalk and would not let me leave without knowing that the issue was resolved and I could get straight to work when I got home. These guys care about helping their customers and it shows. It's not just about selling a part or tool. They genuinely have taken an interest in helping me meet my goals. This is a level of service that seems to be rare these days. If you're a contractor who knows HomeDepot like the back of your hand then do your thing, but if you are at all a DIY person and a non-expert, the guidance these guys take their time to share is invaluable. Much thanks George and Eddy, will be seeing you soon I'm sure!
