I went into this liquor store to buy some wine after my dentist appointment next-door. I had been here numerous times before purchasing small amounts of alcoholic wet beverages. Today when I entered the store, I was on the phone finishing a phone call and I came into the store and there was not even one other customer in the store, and I was just politely finishing the phone call And the gentleman who I think is the owner, who is not a gentleman started screaming and yelling and threatening me I felt from I felt for the safety of my life and I’m so upset I can’t believe it. I’ve never seen anybody in my life treat someone like this I’m gonna call the police right now and file a replace ReportRight now I am contemplating going to the police station to file a restraining order!! .

The owner is completely crazy: I come from France, 9000 km to taste Californian wine, and I got kicked out like a dog without any explanation. Be careful how you look at the bottles. Obviously, you don't have to be too interested in wine to have the right to buy it. Just appalling. I am therefore posting a review on Google for the first time, after visiting more than 10 countries this year and discovering many, many wine merchants. Paranoiac.

Don’t ever go to this place they are the rudest most obnoxious people their prices are ridiculous and they don’t deserve to be n business PS you are so lucky that your stupid response about stealing isn’t a crime in California or i would sue you - you lost a good sale today and i really hope you lose many more because of your exceptionally bad behavior and treatment of customers

Such kind gentleman running the store! Incredibly helpful and take the time to answer any questions. They are familiar with their products, and items are reasonably priced. Will definitely be coming here again

Unbelievably prejudiced, bigoted, and full of insecurity at least the way they treated me. Simply because of my somewhat disheveled hair/beard look or something despite showering and having pretty clean clothes it seems like they assume i am some thieving bum trying to steal from them or something. First of all they requested in a pretty judgmental tone i did not have a problem with initially simply requesting that i leave my bags by the door, which is fine as is pretty standard for many businesses, and i did not hesitate to leave my bags by the door or complain as they requested even with the dismissiveness i sensed in their tone. i was truly interested in purchasing some heirloom whiskey or craft beer too, and was talking to them like a normal person and a friendly genuinely interested customer. then when i was simply grabbing my wallet from my bag by the door they told me to leave that they did not need my business. I tried to reassure them calmly that i was simply obtaining my wallet It but they wouldnt listen at all! It seemed pretty clear to me in their subtly judgmental and close-minded/dismissive tone that they were just dead set on viewing people that looked at all like they might be impoverished as pieces of sh*t who deserved to be hated on and treated like they were worthless. this is what really bugged me and i hope they lose a fair number of business because it until they make up for disrespecting people so unfairly! especially since that i know of i have not stolen anything knowingly in my life! Get checked small minded fools! but ultimately godbless

Just to clarify for everyone since there are a lot of negative reviews about price scams, the prices of cigarettes in SF has an enormous tax on it to discourage smoking. The lowest price you can get for a pack is about $12-$13 USD. This would be selling them with zero profit. $15 per pack is the norm for almost any brand that’s a premium brand such as camel or Marlboros. They also aren’t allowed to give carton discounts or buy one get one free, that’s banned in the city.So don’t feel ripped off when you end up paying $15 for a pack of $150 for a carton. If you’re coming from outside the city on vacation, bring your own beforehand if you can.

Well kept and organized liquor store. Friendly and helpful. Pricing is on the high side though. I didn't realize it until after my purchase, but the whiskey I purchased was significantly higher than it can be obtained elsewhere. $60 vs $40-45 elsewhere. It wasn't a product I was very familiar with, but had I realized the discrepancy, I would have never made the purchase
