Rick is hands down the most competent and nice person I’ve ever met in such an establishment. He goes way above and beyond. Just superb.

DO NOT GO HERE FOR AMAZON RETURNS. They do not let you use their tape to tape up your boxes, the first UPS store to do this in the city. “Yeah, the owner doesn’t like that. They’re available for purchase for $4.39 + tax,” says the guy behind the counter. They do not have an Amazon kiosk. “Yeah, they make a mess of our store, with a lot of stuff that ends up in the garbage… blah blah blah…” said, you guessed it, the same guy behind the counter. The guy will not stop talking, even if you tell him, “Please stop talking to me.” They’re horrible. There are way better UPS stores moments away. Save yourself the grief and aggravation.

Excellent service. I had to have paperwork for my divorce notarized, the person that helped me was very nice and was concerned about me going through a divorce,

Don’t go to this place. He will sell tapes and plastic bags to you if your Amazon returns need a bit to be taped.

The clerk kept leaving the counter to do other things, leaving me standing there. I think that was why she sent something I wanted to get to the addressee ASAP by Residential Ground. Their receipt is so confusing that I didn't figure it out until the next day.

Amazon drop-off at UPS is efficient and easy. So far moderate experience and assistance do what they can do to expedite the return process.

My favorite thing about UPS is that they want higher wages but can't perform the most basic function of their jobs: delivering a package. Y'all are just the most useless, passive aggressive, miserable people to ever wear brown.

I’ve been using their services (including having a mailbox) for 17 years. They are great, friendly and always helpful. Yes, it gets busy especially around the holidays but that’s the nature of the business.

Does Yelp give out an award for worst customer service? Let's begin..I show up with some items I need to ship to someone across the country. I have their account number to use for shipping costs. I walk up to the counter and both ladies tell me they're not able to help because "this location doesn't work with account numbers". You're a UPS store, aren't you? And I called and asked if I could use this persons account number, and even have you call them to verify, and was told no problem. These two ladies were not interested in being helpful whatsoever. I even showed them on their own website where it says I can do this, and one sharply says in response "Sir this is a franchise location. We can't help you. You need to go to the regional UPS headquarters in Potrero Hill and only they can help you". Pretty wild to know that I just went to the nearest FedEx and used an account number there and had no issue. $700+ and this business straight up said "not interested". It's less about the confusion of being told none thing then being told another when I got there. The audacity of their poor customer service is what really brands this place as awful and as someone who used to come here often given it's blocks from my home, I'll go elsewhere and suggest others do as well. Also, there's a UPS in North Beach that's also a "franchised location" and they were willing to do exactly what I needed. FedEx just ended up being closer. Thanks anyways UPS on Polk Street. Hire better people or stop being cheap.

The staff here is great but the owner isn't very helpful. If you get a package on a Sunday, he won't check packages in or look for your package. Even if it's not busy at all. Plus he changed how you pay for your box renewal and didn't notify anyone! It used to be you could pay for 3 months but he changed it to a minimum of 6 months. That's lot of money at once. This is his policy - NOT UPS! I took my business elsewhere where I could pay monthly if I want to! I did like the rest of the staff - they all work hard!

This store has the most deplorable customer service that I have ever experienced. The employees are rude and unhelpful. I would rather chew broken glass than ever step foot into this incredibly poorly run business again.

Terrible customer service! Avoid at all cost. There is only one printer, so if several individuals print at once, your documents will be mixed up with those of the others.

Excellent customer service from Daniel on a Saturday morning, when I rushed in with an urgent and delicate return package. A major online retailer had sold me an "unlocked" refurbished phone, which was locked upon receipt. When I attempting to unlock with the carrier, it turned out to be not only locked. Per the carrier's website, denied unlocking claims are for phones "reported as lost, stolen, or involved with fraud." Yikes! When reported to the retailer, a 3rd party seller merely said to return for a refund. I asked Daniel for the safest way to package the pristine (jacked?) phone and track it and he was really helpful in getting me packing materials. He was also prompt, professional, and friendly. Exactly what I needed after a horrific purchase experience. You do need to pay for packaging materials, other than standard UPS mailers, which I think is fair. Daniel was certain to ask me if I wanted a printed receipt with the tracking number, which is a lovely courtesy, even though I have the UPS app on my phone. The little office is clean and well lit, there's a copier in the corner, which I didn't need to use, and a hand sanitizer dispenser on the wall to the left as you come in the door. Just a heads up though: The Fairmont Hotel used to leave this door open, it happened to be locked today although I knocked and was let in by a custodian. So you may need to enter through the main hotel entrance.

Rick is the best—upbeat, engaging and efficient. Besides shipments and printing they notarize, and hot tip if you bring cash they give you a discount. The cost to print is a rip off ($0.20 cents per page but costs ~$3-4 to log onto their computers to access the printer). But hey, it’s the standard rate and beats owning a printer.
