I’ve been taking my dog here since I adopted her in 2019 and every time we go it is a good experience. The vets are always very helpful and kind and answer all my questions. I have a very anxious pup and everyone that works there is always so patient and sweet to her.I’m sad we’re moving away and have to change vets but definitely would recommend Urban Pet Hospital to others for their pets :)

I’ve been taking my cat here for the past few years and the care is excellent. My cat is 17 and has diabetes and Dr Fady has taken such good care of him !

I called Urban Pet Hospital to inquire if they had emergency services and if my dog which had a uti, needed to be seen right away. They gave me the option to bring her in in the next thirty minutes as they had an appointment available which I appreciated them telling me as it spared me the emergency cost. They were nothing short of gentle, kind and personable with me and my husky! They provided great care and at a great cost. A huge thank you to all the staff as they made something that’s usually very stressful a walk in the park.

At first they charge me $400 and something for lab work, because my kitten had a fever. Than they charge me an extra $700 for an hour of IV fluid with antibiotics. And send me home with the kitten still having the IV line in him, and told me come back in the morning. How can you send a cat home with an IV still in place, and charge $700 more for an hour of IV. This place will try to take you down for every penny. Am happy because they were able to help my cat, but charging $700 more just for IV? It’s all about money

I have been taking my pups to urban pet for a few years now and they have seen both my pups as patients. The vets, vet techs, and front desk staff are all extremely friendly and warm, and you can tell they genuinely care about your pet. I want to especially shout out the front desk team because they are always quick to respond and help resolve any questions I have for them. Pets are part of your family and mean so much, so it's really comforting to know you're bringing your furry friend to a place that they will be well cared for. I would highly recommend urban pet hospital to anyone looking for a clinic with staff who are friendly, caring, and good at what they

The most incompetent vet I have ever been to. It took so long to speak to a doctor about a treatment plan for my cat. Gave me no information about the medication or how to administer it. I had to call and ask the questions. It took forever for them to call in my cats prescription. I had to call about 4 different times and yell at them before I could get my prescription filled. I was very disappointed since my cat was suffering. Save your time and money and go someplace else.

I brought my dog into this clinic last week and had a great experience with the staff and the dr. They saw my pet and me on time and explained the examination findings very thoroughly. My dog was in and out within an hour. I will definitely be returning in the future :)

The first time I went to this vet, I went because my dog had gotten ticks all over him from a hiking trip. Urban Pet pulled 70% of the ticks off of him and then offered me a 30 day antibiotic supply. Their antibiotics were roughly 12x the cost on any other site. $250 for a 30 day supply vs. $29 online. This was egregious and I volunteered to go get it online. Additionally, they offered numerous tests that were not needed, including wanting a blood test for lyme disease when the tick bites had occurred only 24 hours prior (way too soon to show up on a blood test).Today, I called to get a prescription for an antibiotic that stops diarrhea. Because he was a patient and this antibiotic is basically harmless, I figured this would be a simple process. They said he needs blood tests and to be examined by a DIFFERENT dr. at the same office in order to do so. The exam consists of looking at the dog and then prescribing the medicine.Don't come here unless you want a bill run up into the thousands for unnecessary and heavily marked up vet prices. Trust the bad reviews.

Great place. Super nice staff price is fare compared to all the other vets. I went there yesterday with an emergency and they took care of my dog right away and he is doing some much better today. He had a bacteria and he was not eating anything and now he is happy and back to normal ?

Fair upfront pricing, good advice and didn’t try to do unnecessary procedures just to squeeze money out of me. Friendly staff and environment.

Convenient vet for my dog. Love being able to walk here.I feel like quality of care depends on the vet you get - some of the younger vets seem to push more and more tests/medications without giving practical advice. Dr Adams is the best and I always try to organize my apt with her.

All they did was milk every cent possible out of the situation. We went in to get my dog's skin infection taken care of. Instead of actually finding the root cause of the problem, they decided to charge me for every test in the book and run the bill up as high as possible. They ultimately sent us home with antibiotics and assured us that he has no fleas, ticks or mites.Well, after about 3 days of no apparent improvement in his condition, we inspected our puppies' skin and found fleas jumping all over him. We took him to a separate vet and they came back with a completely different diagnosis, and recommended we do not bring our dog to urban pet hospital again. This Vet is well known in the San Francisco area for its predatory practices, misdiagnoses of conditions, and harm to pets in general. This hospital should be shut down for malpractice.

I needed a rabies shot done for my dog and ensured several times that it would be a reasonable price. On the day of as they took my dog back, they casually mentioned a wellness check in addition to the shot, and I’m glad I caught it because it was essentially a hidden $80 extra they would charge. I was displeased with how they handled the situation and will be looking for a vet with more transparency and accountability. One star might seem harsh but I can’t stand hidden fees and I believe we need to hold companies responsible.

The care that we and our cat received at Urban Pet hospital was amazing. The staff is responsive and sympathetic, going to the vet is never easy but here it was made as easy as it can be. Dr.Fady in particular was caring and available, easily the best vet i have been to.
