I fell for their new account bonus scam which never came. Upon inquiry, the banker Sergio who opened the account now (nearly a year later) tells me the account was ineligible. If that were the case, he should have known and should have been honest with me at that time. Before this latest revelation, I had asked about it, and he was talking to me about checking the account to ensure that I get the new account bonus. Alas, it is clear that he did not know what he was talking about and then just said "sorry for the inconvenience." Truths are not inconvenient. Lies are. Do not trust these people.

Let me start with, I understand if U.S. Bank is the next to go under. I've been banking with them for years. A loyal customer I might add but does this reflect after someone fraudulently alter a check and I notice and called customer service to alert them that the check I wrote was not for that amount, nor the payee. I was told the other bank will catch it. The checked cleared for the fraud amount. I went thru the proper channels to stop it and now the bank does not want to replace my money. They act as if I was the criminal. So, I went thru all the bureaucratic red tape to rectify this just to be told that I might not get my money back. This bank has already been on the news for it's racist antics. I don't want to have to report them and see them on the news again. I will be making a phone call to the FDIC to see why I'm letting U.S. Bank safeguards my funds and they are not safe. I mean FDIC does mean they are insured so why aren't my funds insured. Come on U.S. Bank you can do better. Take some of the money you spend advertising how safe you are and replace my stolen funds. Unhappy and not done yet!

I went to open a savings account today. I was told I MUST have a social security card and drivers license - I asked if a US passport would do and was told "no" it had to be an actual social security card. I am probably one of the few that actually has my ss card - so, I went home and got it. I returned to the bank at 4:13 pm and was then told, I'm sorry, we don't open accounts after 4 pm. Never mind that there were three employees standing around talking and they don't close until 5 pm - but he refused to open an account and said I had to make an appointment to do so. By the way - I just went on line to verify appointments and when I tried to schedule an appointment, the website gave me a message of: "no appointment necessary to learn about OR OPEN an account." (see photo attached) Imagine that! I walked down the street to Chase (three blocks away - who also close at 5 pm) - they gladly opened a savings account for me (2 valid forms of ID required, but no "MUST have an actual social security card") and it took a whole 15-20 minutes to do so.

Excellent Customer Service here! The staff at this US Bank branch are always friendly, efficient, and helpful. It's so much better than doing business with Wells Fargo (I was with them for over 20 years.) Rather than explaining why they can't help you and offering apologies, the people at US Bank actually help you out with a smile. If you are unsatisfied with the customer service at your current bank, don't hesitate to give US Bank a try.

I have been with US Bank for decades now. The Castro branch is less than a block from my home and super-convenient. The staff is consistently friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and efficient. Wait times when visiting in person are short to nonexistent. The ATM breaks down very very seldom (and nowadays - 2023 - fewer people even use ATMs than in years past). The website is user-friendly and informative. Interest rates are decent, fees are few. There is not much more for which a customer could ask in a large, mainstream bank.

I have been a loyal customer with US Bank since 2007. Today, I received a text/email notification from US Bank letting me know that my June payment had not been received. I verified my payment with CapitalOne Bank and my payment was made on a timely manner. It appears that there was an escrow change back in May so the payment was short by $109. US Bank has always emailed/text me communication but this time US Bank is telling me that they wrote me a letter. Which I never opened because they have always communicated with me electronically. So I was not aware of the escrow change. As a result of the escrow change my June payment was short by $109.00. And US Bank is charging me $159.00 late fee. I immediately called to pay for the difference of $109. And, I asked Maggie(0I0) to waive the late fee of a $159--Maggie (0I0) refused to waive the fee. US Bank is utilizing all it's means to extort money from their loyal customers. Shop many lenders before you sign up for a mortgage with one. I wish I did.

Nobody answers the phone. Can't get any response to simple questions. I will never use this bank again, not worth the hours on hold!

Lets start off with I had a great bank then US bank bought it and it has been a nightmare from hell since. I had a business account and personal account that were linked. Now that US bank has taken over, they have linked my husbands account with mine and have made me a minimal signer on my own business account. Which means I cannot transfer money from my personal account to my business account or vice versa. None of my credit card payments are being received and not my account is arrears. What the hell is 24 customer service when you cannot fix a problem until 2 to 3 business days for your own clerical error? So I cannot deposit, I cannot withdraw and I cannot transfer. Oh and I tried to deposit cash via the atm and even though US bank guaranteed that the debit cards would work when the buyout took effect it didn't . So Im screwed until they take their sweet ass time and really, they don't give a shit about their people. Im shopping two other banks on Monday to see if they can be better. Seriously 20 years with union bank and I never had a check bounce. Less than 5 days with us bank and I have everything being destroyed as they continue to slow walk their response. Stay away! They Lie and really really don't care about the people who use them.

Cudos to this neighborhood bank which is literally 4 blocks from my home in the beautiful Castro. Earlier, I stopped at Chase to open an Iolta and Business account- but they were to busy for me- even with just 1 client in waiting area. Sergio went out of his way to help me. Thank you for going that extra mile. I couldn't be happier and I gladly recommend this branch for business banking needs. 5++++++ stars

This is the first time I have ever written a review for a bank, but my experience at the US Bank Castro Branch was so great I feel that I must share. We worked with US Bank to open up a Home Equity Line of Credit and Checking Account, and the Castro Branch was our local branch that was assigned to us.First of all, at the loan signing, Priscilla (the branch manager), went above and beyond that we were set up with the lowest interest rate possible (she caught something in the documents that would have assigned us a higher rate). After the HELOC was set up, any time I had any questions, I spoke to Herry. Herry was always so personable and extremely responsive with all my questions or requests. Customer Service that goes above and beyond. I will be giving US Bank more of my business going forward because of the excellent experience we had.
