Ok I have a lot to tell! DON’T GO THERE! My review is about fingerprinting. The person is unprofessional, very rude and honestly she doesn’t know her job!
She was rude from the very beginning when I explained that my previous request (that I paid for and made here the day before) was rejected, she said that it’s not her problem. Then we did it again with the new request I had to submit, she said that my « fingerprints were not good enough » as if I could change them. That we can only do it 5 times (which is a lie), that « the machine doesn’t work for everyone » and that she can’t help me.
This post office should not to fingerprinting they are not qualified! Plus, very rude and blaming the machine but guess what, I went to Oakland where they have the same machine and it worked there!
Go to Oakland, the people are nice, and they know what to do, my fingerprint were all good on the first try and I was in and out in 5 minutes!

Extremely unfriendly or helpful….not sure why anyone would want to use them, don’t bother when there are other options

We received a consultation and had our shipping processed in no time. The employee was very helpful and polite. Best USPS experience ever.

This is a fine location to drop off packages with pre-paid labels. If you’re trying to mail something, get ready for a rude, unfriendly, and unhelpful experience.
Edit: I wanted to update this review to say that most of the personnel at this location are friendly and helpful. It seems to be a problem with management that makes it a tense environment.

had a really horrible time here. went here for my passport appointment, incredibly not understanding, all the other staff were great but Celine was incredibly rude and discussed how Money was the most important thing. To be fair, my bank had a hard time allowing me to pay for my passport— on my end that was my fault but Celine, the staff, was incredibly rude and made me feel incredibly embarrassed and anxious on my end. At the end I told them to void it, to which she wasn’t able to do until two other coworkers had to help her. It halted the entire office and I felt horribly and left crying.

Do not go here for fingerprinting. They charged me $50 for the prints which were immediately denied for low quality. Huge waste of time. Go to another USPS location.

Normally I enjoy this post office, but for some reason all the desk people were only helping with passports so anyone who needed to mail anything was stuck. I’d recommend NOT having all the desk workers do passport processing so people can actually mail things. Isn’t the post office for mailing stuff?

Don’t go for passport services. They only do two walk ins per day, and sometimes decide not to do any. Also, they don’t take the first two people lined up - they let friends and family cut the line even if you’ve been waiting since 6 am.

Said I’d need to pay an extra $5 per “thank you” card (>$250) because they were “too stiff” (standard card stock and two photos). Went to another post office who had no problem with it.

Only 2 applications per day….you need to get here 2 hours early to guarantee you’re one of the lucky two.

Had a bad experience with their fingerprinting service. Staff was very impatient and inexperienced, lied to me that the machine only allows 5 tries. She didn’t provide proper instructions so the machine keeps showing errors. I wanted to try a few more times and she lied that they only allow 5 minutes for each person. I went to the Oakland USPS location instead and the nice gentlemen got me in and out for 5 minutes.

I would give it less stars if I could. I forgot my ID on the printer around the corner at the library and needed to run back and get it. Instead of finishing the passport appointment they turned me away and told me I needed to reschedule. My appointment was at 2:45 and I was back by 2:50, it was quiet (very few people) and they decided to stand on incompetence and subject me to further inconvenience. I'm having a very hard time seeing why this organization deserves funding. I really want more public services to stay in place, but actions like this turn voters away. This is unnecessary beurocracy causing additional strain and stress on the public. What massive disappointment during a time when public servants are practically being fed to the lions right now. The picture attached may only show one worker but there were 2 others there helping customers move through. They could have taken my application, but again, they chose unnecessary beurocracy over service. Why should my tax dollars keep funding this kind of incompetence?

Dropped off a package at 4 pm on a Tuesday. All staff were friendly, not a long wait but the first thing I was told was “sorry about the wait”. I had no issues at all!

Absolute waste of time. ESPECIALLY for fingerprint scanning. The machine “doesn’t work for some
people”. They should actually work to rectify some of these archaic systems.
