Went there to buy money orders. There was an older black guy; first time I've seen him there.I asked him for two money orders and pulled out my DEBIT (NOT Credit) card, which you need to buy money orders at the post office. He said: "We don't have money orders."I said: "What do you mean you don't have money orders? This is a post office, that's what you sell."He said: "Oh, I mean. we are out of them."I've never heard of such a thing. I was annoyed and was going to wait for the other younger black guy, he is very competent. But then I thought; i bet this guy doesn't even know how to operate the computer to make a money order. And the people that were ahead of me, he gave them some stamps instead of the ones they wanted. He said they were out of stamps. Maybe they are going to close this post office...So I took off for the post office in Chinatown, just several blocks away. There, a very helpful attendant quickly took care of my two money orders and stamps.Then I treated myself for a great Mongolian Beef lunch!

Went to this post office today in North Beach just to buy a sheet of stamps. When I approached the window clerk, he told me there were NO STAMPS!Told me to go to the Chinatown branch 9 blocks away. I mentioned to the clerk at the Chinatown Branch that there were no stamps available at North Beach Station. She told me they didn't have any stamps for weeks!How can a Post Office not have any stamps available?!!! Unbelievable!

My go to post office for all my shipping needs! Very friendly staff. Only downside is they're super busy and the wait can sometimes be long.

Today this post office has a worker who has great customer service skills. Watching him taking care of 4 customers and very professional and helpful. What a difference from the last time I was here!

This review is for Gary and his disgusting behavior and customer service. He is clearly inept, incompetent, lacks experience, has 0 knowledge and courtesy. I am not sure why one must pay some crusty jerks like this to do any work. They are a nuisance to everything and everybody.

Mailed out an eBay return from this store - was skeptical I’d actually be able to leverage the digital QR code for them to print the label (since I don’t have a printer) but they did so seamlessly. Was easily able to purchase a sealable mailer here and make a quick return! Gary was super nice and helpful!

I've never had a bad experience here. This is because I know what is expected of me by the postal employees - have your package ready with the address printed legibly on the label and don't hold up the line. Expect to be dealt with curtly if you don't meet this criteria.

Gary needs to be fired! I initially thought he was going to be nice despite all these negative reviews for this store but he started yelling at me saying things like “I’m speaking English to you what don’t you understand???” even though he wasn’t making sense, and being so mean for no reason at all. He haphazardly put the shipping label on the bag and ripped it, and wouldn’t allow me to seal the bag before taking it away. Horrible experience

As a person who works in customer service/retail, this is the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I understand that everyone (including the employees have bad days) but one particular employee at this location is constantly rude. He's an older Asian man about 5'5 named Gary. Today, my Dad went to pick up a package from this location and Gary had called him an idiot and yelled at him because he went to the wrong location. Gary then went on to threaten that he was going to call his manager because my Dad asked where he could pick up his package. What a joke. I am very disappointed in this situation and we're going to contact his supervisor.

Beyond terrible customer service. Avoid at all cost if you want to stay happy! He knew I was shipping perfume, made me get envelope and fill it out then after I went to send he said "sorry we can ship perfume but you can pay for the envelope"
