I’ve had varying experiences at this postal station. One time, there was no one there in line so the staff was very efficient and I was able to pop in and out.
I can’t say the same about my most recent experience. I walked in around noon on a Tuesday and there was only one staff working. There was a line of about six people ahead of me. The worker, an older Asian female, seemed to be taking her sweet time ringing up everything, waddling back back-and-forth to get things, no sense of urgency whatsoever. You could tell that everyone in the line was getting frustrated due to the extended wait times, but that didn’t seem to affect the worker at all.
Then she took her lunch break, and another incompetent staff member took over her place. The same thing of taking their time as if they were moving in slow motion. I was mailing a package to a friend that clearly had “this side up” marked on the orientation of the box. She slaps the printed USPS label on THE BOTTOM of the box so now I’m assuming whenever someone has to deliver it, all the contents are gonna be flipped inside out and just all over the place.
I’m a fan of USPS, but I definitely won’t be coming to this station again. Literally avoid and go to any other nearby location.

Frustratingly, slow service and seemingly incompetent staff.

This post office station has some very careless and incompetent staff. First of all the mail carrier we have had on our route for two years has left. She was one of the rare employees who did her job properly. Mail and packages delivered properly.
Since approximately three weeks now the regular mail carrier is gone for whatever reason. In her place, we have an older Asian guy who has delivered two of our packages to different addresses. First time a couple of weeks ago the recipient was kind enough to walk it over to us. Now again this week another package was delivered somewhere who knows where; how we know is because the automatic notification said that it was delivered but we never received it! So twice in a space of two weeks two packages have not been delivered properly!
All people ask is for mail carriers to do their job well meaning to be careful and read and sort the mail accordingly.

These people are criminals and the whole post office needs to be investigated ASAP.I have recieved notifications for 3 checks from EDD for my paternity leave and none of them have been delivered. My mailbox is secure and I check it every 2 hours when I recieve these notifications. Every other piece of mail is delivered but my paid paternity leave checks keep mysteriously disappering.I have spoken with numerous employees at the location and they all claim that my route has a different postal employee servicing it each day and that they do not keep track of which mail person does which route on a given day. They claim that since they don't keep track of who delivers on my route each day that there is no way to know who was supposed to deliver the checks so it's impossible for them to determine who failed to deliver my checks. Simply put; they are covering for each other as they steal checks from the people they are supposed to deliver to.The first time I went in, they told me to wait a week to to file an official complaint. After a week, I came in, and they told me to keep waiting and insisted that there was nothing they could do about it. Frusterated, I called the Postal Inspector at 1 (877) 876-2455 and opened an investigation. I immediatly got a call from Christian Acosta, who claims to be the manager of this location. He gave me the same nonsense run-around explanation that his employees gave me; there is no way to track the mail delivery and that there is nothing I can do but wait for the check to arrive. After grilling Christian Acosta over the phone, he finally decided to email me the phone number for the "Postal Police"; the phone number he gave me was for an auto insurance company.I now have to call the Postal Inspector again to file another complaint against this postal location and against Christian Acosta for providing me false/misleading information; I also have to call EDD to put out a fraud alert.

Too many times I tried to park in the green zone only to find it occupiedby post office trucks. Those spots should be reserved for patrons.

1 star for convenience. Customer service sucks. I've only been helped by the women there and they seem miserable. I told one of them, politely, I couldn't hear her and didn't understand what she needed and she replied "I speak English" - I didn't say anything about her not speaking English. I felt uncomfortable during the entire transaction. I'd make the extra trip and go to sloat!

I appreciate the effort from the workers at Parkside. They look understaffed and are working very hard to keep the line flowing.

They never pick up their phone, I spent hours across multiple days to try to reschedule a delivery because I was out of town and they didn't answer once.It doesn't help that the usps rescheduling website is broken and won't let me pick dates on any browser I've tried.

Parkside Station on Taraval is a very bad, disorganized, incompetent post office. Because of this I try to use any carrier service other than USPS. They regularly lose my mail, accidentally send to LA then back to SF, do not ring doorbell for signed packages requiring me to try and get them picked up to sign for which is always very difficult. Phone systems are down regularly making all of the above more difficult. The Post Master is not helpful. Use UPS, FedEx, or DSL to ensure you get your package. They have never lost one of ours.

I honestly don’t understand how this USPS has 2.7 stars. I find the workers to be super friendly and efficient, and they always propose ways to save money on shipping. Love my neighborhood USPS!

Great service! Eleanor is always such a great help! Not sure why this location has such poor reviews, It seems the issues others are encountering are one off, or are miscommunications from the customer. Will return here for all USPS needs.
