This Divisadero and Lonbard is my main Walgreens that I shop. I travel there mostly at night and it can be a gamble if they will be open or not after midnight but I generally have good luck with that. The staff is helpful, friendly and greet me with a smile which is nice. Seems to be a little shady after midnight due to security playing a large role in keeping it safe and lucrative for Walgreens to stay open. I have no complaints...

This Walgreens is on the corner of Ignorant and Incompetent. I come here regularly, and every single time they mess up my medication refills. In a given year I may have 2 or 3 refills without a problem. During the remaining visits, they manage to mess up on thing or another. I have only two prescriptions a month to refill, and both of them get messed up. One evening technician is particularly incompetent: constantly giving me incorrect information.

Back in May, I was prescribed 20 mg lisinopril. I still had 10 mg left from my Rx, so doubled up until they were gone. In June, I called to pick up the new Rx at Walgreens which was called in by my physician in May -- I didn't have an Rx number. I took that Rx for almost 3 months. When I went to refill it, I found out that I had mistakenly been given the old Rx of 10 mgs -- Walgreens gave me the wrong Rx and I didn't notice. I realize it's my responsibility to check, too, but in my view, I would hope to think pharmacists are checking for the latest Rx before giving to patients or at least confirm with the patient what dose they're taking. UPDATE: after hearing from my physician about this, she didn't seem concerned, so I'm not worried about this mistake anymore. It's still a good reminder to check your meds before you walk out of the store.

The "24 Hours" sign is an absolute lie. EVERY single time I go by the store when I get off work at midnite they have that damn sign on the door: "CLOSED until 4 AM". But that's OK, there aren't any businesses in San Francisco with any integrity anyway, or customer service.

Yesterday I went to buy 6 Adult Wipes. Just as my co-worker asked the store manager for assistance, she's walking behind a potential robber with a black hoody carrying a bag in his right hand. This was a robbery. At the last minute, manager knocks the bag out of the guy's hand. Had I been asked what to do, I'd have tripped him as he left the store, or grabbed him by the back of the neck... We got what we came for, but seriously; since cops won't protect civilians, we need to appoint a private security team (similar to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) inside drugstores to make sure robbers never ever steal. If someone steals something, just trip him.

I came here today for my first Covid shot. To their credit, they let me come in early for my appointment. When they took my temperature they guy said it was high. So I waited a few minutes and had it redone. He said it was still not good so I asked what my temperature was... he just ignored me. After posing the question several more times he finally said that it read as an error. He refused to admit that there could be an error with the thermometer as it worked for him and his co-workers. I had the temperature taken a few more times with no change. So I asked if they could use a different thermometer and they refused. His supervisor basically said the same thing; that the thermometer couldn't be wrong, so I went to the front and asked for the store manager. After three requests for her appearance she finally emerged, got a new thermometer from the shelf and walked back to the pharmacy area, all without speaking to me. I asked what the temperature range of the thermometer was and she ignored the question but said something about the pharmacy. When she finally put the batteries in and took my temperature it was about 96'F. I then asked one of the pharmacy people who saw what my temperature was if the other thermometer could have been wrong and she refused to admit it, just repeating that it worked on others. I have to give them a bad review for poor customer service and a level of obstinacy that is just overwhelming. I am trying to reschedule my second appointment with a different walgreens.

They always have what I want here and with a decent variety. The only problem is this location always has homeless and Saturday it smelled like weed and #2.

This is by far the most frustrating business to deal with. I have been filing the same prescriptions here for over a year and LITERALLY every month, they find something to screw up. Some months it's them filling the generic when it should be the brand name. Some months it's just not having it ready. Some months it's "insurance issues" despite never changing insurance or medications which ALWAYS end up being their error. There is an utter lack of desire to actually help and solve the problem. The employees could not care less.

I love this Walgreens. The staff has been consistently efficient and friendly even during these trying times. If they don't have something, they tell me how to find it.

My dad and I are staying at La Luna Inn across the street, I have surgery at UCSF tomorrow morning. We were hungry but it was dark and we didn't want to wander around a strange city. The desk clerk directed us right across the road to Walgreens. We found a nice selection of cold sandwiches and a couple of drinks. There was no line at the checkout. The security guard was weird to us because we are from a small town where security isn't very necessary, but she was very nice. Prices seem to be average for drugstores. The store was clean. Pretty much all you can ask for.

The pharmacy is painfully slow here. Its not just because they are busy but it seems like they are always down a staff member or just moving painfully slow. It's always a long line and long wait.

The store is open 24/7 and several Yelp reviews clearly indicate that the pharmacy was open 24/7 at least at some point, but the pharmacy no longer is 24/7, so don't make the same mistake I did. It closes at 6 pm on Saturday and Sunday.
