HORRIBLE pharmacy. They're unresponsive and usually have only one person in front. I waited in line for 20 minutes in line because the person in front is SOOOO slow. When I it was finally my turn, I asked for my prescription only to find out it's not ready. And I have already received a text AND voicemail from Walgreens TWO days ago saying it's ready for pick up. TWO DAYS! And it's not ready?! The genius told me to come back in a few hours and it'll be ready then. WHAT?! Yes, because I have nothing better to do than waste my time. No. Last time I'll be coming here in this god forsaken place.

The vibes here are completely off. Whenever I shop here, I always feel like I'm being watched or followed by security. I suppose I understand because of the constant shoplifting issues in the city, but it still sucks as a black LGBTQ+ customer that has never caused issues here. The lines are ridiculously long and almost every item is locked. I always feel like a bother or pest whenever I need an employee to unlock something for me. I suggest going to the other Walgreens near Powell St & Union Square.

something wild is always happening at this walgreens..... i feel so bad for the employees. the staff is very nice for the position they're in, and i appreciate that. the stock is never good though, and it's a gamble whether or not you will find what you are looking for. the line is always intense as well, so expect to be waiting 15 minutes to buy 1 item.

AVOID THIS PHARMACY! The pill counter pharmacist lacks compassion and care of their patients. I had proof from the print-out given by my doctor that my antibiotic was sent to this pharmacy. However, they said they never received the prescription. They did not even bother to contact my doctor to confirm the antibiotic medication that was sent to this pharmacy electronically. Unprofessional. This pharmacist will be reported to the Board.

I feel so sorry for Walgreens and their employees. Every time i go there, someone is stealing stuff. I saw a guy with their rolling basket full of stuff walking down the street.. Then this other person came in for dinner. In his arms were a load of snacks. How does the free for all get stopped? How to stop the hemorrhage. The have nots get the free studf. The haves are standing in line almost number 12 in line. Half the stuff are in locked cases. The snacks aren't. We need Walgreens to be around to pick up medicines for the kids. If all the Walgreens closes, where do we go? I'm proposing a little Disneyland. How we stand in line to go through turn stiles. single file stand in line. We go through a maze to get in. Safeway has these fences to keep from people freely coming in and out. I envision all purchases are paid and bagged and goes through a tunnel to be picked up at the other end. your purchase will be waiting for you. No shopping carts. Everyone exits through the turnstile to get out like New York subway.

What I have come to learn with The City is stores on Market Street are best avoided. This location is no different. I would come into this location after visiting the doctor as it was the closest to the place I was staying at the time. I was usually helped by a woman named Erica who would constantly cut me off while talking and patronize me for daring to come into Walgreens and expect her to do the job she was paid and trained to do.I have never had a conversation with anyone in this location who did not feel the need to constantly cut me off while talking and or make me go back and forth to the doctors office to check that the prescription I was asking for was sent correctly. I had a run of a few months where the pharmacy would say no more than a hour after leaving the doctor nothing was sent and I would have to try again weeks later. Despite me sitting with the doctor and watching them communicate with the Walgreens location prior to leaving the hospital. After enough complaining I was told my insurance was no longer accepted at the location and that unless I wanted to pay out of pocket it would be advisable if I did not return.Overall this place is now NOT a great place to go if you're of African decent. Market Street is just a huge no go zone for a variety of reasons these days. This is a prime example of the level of care provided by pharmacists within the downtown area. As you can see from my other reviews I have not had the most pleasant experiences lately in The Bay Area...However! I write these reviews based on my experience so that others will benefit from the experiences that I have. But always do your own research!

If I could leave negative stars I would! I have lived in numerous places throughout my life and I have to say that this is by far the worst Walgreens location EVER! First and foremost, the staff at this location is so unprofessional and LAZY, it's almost a joke of why they even employ these people! On numerous incidents, the women at the check out are all sitting down on stools and talking in Tagalog to each other, I actually know for a fact that they were talking about a customer standing right next to me because I am half Filipino and could understand everything they were saying. Second reason-I'm not sure what's worse, the environment inside this Walgreens or the craziness on Market Street because it's always seems like a shit show at this particular every time I'm at this location. If I was the Mrs. Brewer (CEO of Walgreens), I would definitely feel embarrassed about having my company's name on the front of this location! But I could be wrong! If you like waiting in line for 10-15 minutes while standing next to someone begging for money because the 6-8 workers are to busy having a conversation about customers in Tagalog and could careless if there is a line of 20 plus customers waiting. Then this is your Walgreens! Enjoy the circus!

PHARMACY REVIEW for MICHELLEToday around 4:30pm I called this place to ask for the home Covid testing kit. Michelle told me that they were all out of stock. And I proceeded to ask if any of the Walgreens in the area had it. She bluntly lied and said NO everywhere is out of stock, try tomorrow. Luckily, I called 135 Powell st. And found the test kit there. Btw, they have a lot in stock. Thanks for nothing, Michelle!P.S. 135 Powell St. 5 STARS

Passport photos are taken in the middle of the line for the pharmacy, ordered two sets of photos, they only took one photo, and didn't let me see it before printing both sets and paying. Waste of $30

Staff opted to close early. Must have something more important to do than the job they're paid for.

To make this short, if you don't care about customer service then by all means go to this Walgreens. If on the other hand, you are somewhat human and do care about how you're treated as a customer, then...my suggestion: (1) Avoid this Walgreens, (2) Avoid all Walgreens in SF unfortunately. Unless you need urgent care or your dedicated pharmacy is this Walgreens and are too lazy to switch to a different service like Pill Pack (ie Amazon Pharmacy), RO, HIMs, or any local store, I would highly recommend switching. Lastly, I'm not a hater and in fact I try to be as positive as possible when writing reviews because I want reviews I read to be honest and trustworthy. But my humble opinion is to AVOID, probably AVOID, and really AVOID this Walgreens.
