I am reviewing this Walgreens based on the pharmacy.Just terrible. Very slow service, no we don't have it in stock (very normal antibiotic), only partial fill, come back in a few days, no it's still not here, too bad. Pharmacist gave incorrect storage instructions, contradicted by several reputable online sources. Better to just buy some candy in place of your medication, and at least you may have some placebo benefit, unless you have diabetes. They have lots of candy there.

20 minutes on hold as a physician to give a them a verbal prescription. Very unusual. Told it would be ready in one hour. Came in 2 hrs later to pick up, then spent 15 minutes at the "Express Pickup"window while the clerk entered my data.. literally name, address, and insurance numbers only . Then told to sit down for a few minutes while they got it ready....13 minutes later...I'm given the prepackaged box in there stapled bag. They definitely should rename that as " majorly slow pickup" window. Worse service ever... They have to have a monopoly in the area or they wouldn't survive. And the grand finale.... After I got back home and opened up the bag, they gave me the wrong dose! Beyond comprehension..I had to call, Wait on hold, get it corrected, wait in line again, and they charge me for it too! Trust me if there's another pharmacy near you... go there, luckily I don't live in town but definitely won't use them again if I return.

This has to be one of the worst pharmacies I've ever had to deal with. Every month I have the same issue with one of my prescriptions and am left for days without it. Every. Single. Month. I can't tell you how stressful that it. Only 2 people at this location actually know what they are doing and are able to handle problems that arise. And of course those 2 people deserve time off so when they're not working god forbid something go wrong. They are constantly hiring and training new employees yet always understaffed.I don't typically like to write negative reviews but I have yet to have one positive experience here.

I'm not expecting much buying food from Walgreens, but come on. This chicken pesto pita sandwich was a scam.

For some reason or another, this location always seems to be short-staffed. To deal with being short staffed, the team here is often resentful, emotionally displaced, and scattered all over the store.I also don't like the feeling that as an African-American man, I can't walk inside of this store without the security guard thinking that I am going to steal something. How do I know that they're thinking this? Because as soon as I walk into the store, they go from standing to the front of the store to following me into the refrigeration section that's where I usually get my drinks from. However, that's just a part of living in Cal Hollow, one of the most racist parts of San Francisco to live in. This store has a lot better needs to improve overall. Customer service and hospitality need to be one of them.Getting more staff should be the next. They need to get younger people in the store who have more energy.

This review is mainly for Walgreens Pharmacy on Chestnut Street and the one on Lombard and Divasdaero. But, my go to pharmacy for many years is the location on Chestnut. They’re friendlier, faster and more helpful and the lines for the pharmacy aren’t as bad as the Lombard location. It may be a chain but the pharmacy on Chestnut is much more like an older pharmacy where the pharmacist and key staff get to know and genuinely care about you.Carmen, the pharmacy manager the last time I was there is fantastic, always kind and helpful. Her key assistant, Monica, has always been terrific too! Monica always checked to make sure I had my epi-pen with me. Knowing I had a severe nut allergy, she asked me each time! That’s an example of a pharmacy and staff that sees you, gets to know you and cares about you as more than just a customer.Overall, the service in the store is just ok but they have the basics you want and need. They were a close walk. At that time, the pharmacy didn’t deliver which was my only issue.Walgreens on Lombard is much more crowded and I’ve used them in a pinch but, they’re not the same & the aisle you have to wait in is always long.Chestnut Street has chairs close to the counter & since they know you if you’re a regular, you can just sit down and wait comfortably. I’d call ahead if possible and the wait was never as long as Lombard and Divasdaero. Both stores have the basics and are probably more expensive than other places for food items but, you’re not going there to stock up on groceries.

The main store is fine... clean, well stocked, nice personnel, etc. No problems at all. 5 stars. Can't say the same about the pharmacy. The people are basically nice, no real complaints about them. But there aren't enough of them. It's absolutely normal to see 4 or 5 people in line for one window (second one is never open), and the line moves so slowly. And even when you get to the window, it still takes way too long... so many steps, SO SLOW! Not doing this anymore. I'm going to find an online delivery.

I was on hold with the pharmacy for 20 minutes. I had one quick question that required a yes or no answer. They have picked up the phone and put me back on hold 10 times already. Don't try to call!

We been a customer with this walgreens for four years. We call and have to wait to connect with someone in pharmacy only to wait 30 minutes on hold and then get hung up on not one but three times in a in two hours. And when they do answer the phone they are rude and sarcastic to you. Like they are doing you a favor by dealing with you. But yet if it was not for customer they would not have a job

The heavily armed security and police presence was disconcertingAlso seeing an officer aggressively follow a girl out the store… I couldn’t understand what twilight zone Walgreens I was in…

I went in with six people, all with appointments for a booster shot, and the associate, Michael H., was very helpful! The people with appointments only spoke spanish so i had to help translate and Michael was very patient and efficient! Appreciate everyone’s help there and apologize for all the trouble we caused!

Booked an appointment for a Covid vaccine online, drove 8 miles to find out that they didn't have any vaccines and had not had any all day. The person at the pharmacy apologized and said he'd been telling the same to all other people all day. Why allow customers to book a time if you don't have the vaccines? Recipe for unhappy customers.
