I go to this Walgreens all of the time, GREAT SERVICE and very nice workers. They have the best snacks and drinks and is a perfect place to stop for the pharmacy or just to get a snack. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!!!!!

Says the store is open until 10. Came at around 9pm and it was closed with no notice.

The pharmacy associate was unprofessional and irresponsible. There was no concept of service recovery when they made mistakes. I called ahead to make sure my refills were ready. I went as advised, and after waiting in a long line, was told one of my medication refill cannot be filled until the next day. The associate made no apology or attempt to show any interest in the incovenience they had created for me.
The next morning, I went to pick up the medication, and the same associate was at the counter. When it was my turn, she just turned and told me to wait. She disappeared behind the shelves. After about 5 minutes, she reappeared, her hand still stuffing food into her mouth. As though she had never met me before, with a full mouth, she asked for my name and date of birth. Then, she told me the medication is not ready yet, and I would have to wait 20 minutes. She moved to another cash register to help other customers, so that when my medication was finally prepared and delivered to the counter, she was too busy to help me.
When she finally rang me up, she omitted to charge insurance. Luckily, I double checked the amount before I use my phone to pay. Again, she made no attempt to even apologize for her omission.
Walgreens definitely overworked their staff, and never trained them for customer service.
It is no wonder they are closing branch after branch.
I know I am ready to move on to the many other alternatives, from on-line to other pharmacies.

The laziest pharmacy and drug store in all of San Francisco by a mile. The store is never open as advertised and routinely closes early. Pharmacy is also never open as per posted hours. Take your business elsewhere.

They wouldn’t allow me to get a Covid vaccine and argued that I wasn’t eligible. I went to a different Walgreens and got the vaccine so clearly they were wrong. I’m pretty sure it was just one of the pharmacist’s assistants not even the pharmacist. Terrible and rude. Photo is from the Walgreens app

Apparently the pharmacy has decided to save money by not serving their customers. Don’t bother trying to get them on the phone, they don’t answer at any time of day. When I asked them why they don’t answer they said they can’t answer the phone if they have customers. Hmmmm I guess I’m not a customer if I’m on the phone instead of standing in line? OR thy could hire enough people to serve ALL of their customers. Having said that, they are nice and helpful in person, you just have to go there for service.

Derrick is always kind, helpful, and goes out of his way to make sure I get exactly what I need every time I go there!

I really like this Walgreens. Nice workers, helpful. It's an important part of Diamond Heights. This review is for the store, not the pharmacy. I agree that the pharmacy is not an example of a well run business.

Had a doctor try calling in a prescription here 2 times. Both times pharmacy did not receive the order. Seems disorganized at this Walgreens. Castro Walgreens filled the same order no problem. Stay away!

I hate this pharmacy with a passion (I need to find a new one but pure laziness has been stopping me up until recently). 50% of the time when I request a prescription by mail via the app it doesn't get sent out. Yes, I downloaded the app just to avoid interacting with their phone tree or going in-person (more on that in a sec). Currently my prescription has been marked as "ready for FedEx" for about 4 days. I call the pharmacy to check on it and am on hold, even though the phone tree tells me I'm second in line, for about 30 minutes. After 30 minutes I'm sent through, the line rings, and I'm disconnected (this is the 4th or 5th time this has happened). I call again. The process repeats and I am again disconnected. It wouldn't be a big deal to go in-person if the lines didn't take 30 minutes themselves. The pharmacy always seems severely understaffed and SUPER grumpy (I get it, I would be too if I had to work at this location). The line usually wraps around the store when I go at random times during the work day. The number of times that I have ranted to family and friends about this Walgreens location has become a running joke. And it is 100% on me because I keep avoiding finding a new pharmacy. But today I'm breaking free of my shackles. No more Walgreens on Diamond Heights. No more.
