With the closure of other pharmacy locations, getting quick services is rare, but not their fault.Other than that, I appreciate that they sell and the staff seems to always be busy but helpful. This store has been through the ringer with retail theft which I've seen 2-3x and emdless long lines at the pharmacy. Their pharmacy will never meet the increased demands of the community which has increased 2-3x. I fear that they would just close down.I wish they could have security (I know it's expensive). It's frustrating seeing people walkout with Arms full of stolen inventory.

It’s never fun watching a business die, but that’s what’s happening to Walgreens, and this location provides a front row seat to their slow but inevitable demise. Understaffed, poorly trained, and mind-numbingly unaware of how to run their business, it’s hit or miss as to whether one can even purchase a soda or a bag of chips. Anytime there’s more than two people in line I don’t even bother as the wait is likely to be ten minutes or more. All we can do now is hope that another chain swoops in and buys the remaining Walgreens locations in San Francisco, thus finally putting this exhausted, cancer-ridden, and utterly malnourished business out of its (and our) misery.

Employees at the pharmacy kiosk are rude and unhelpful, they never have items only accessible by them and they never know when they’ll receive more.

Useful location, with a range of quick items, but the pharmacy has often been delayed with preparing prescriptions ("sorry we're backed up. come back later" during off peak time) and then more commonly trying to deal with a very slow moving queue at more popular times of day. In this example, it's my second attempt today and the queue has moved through 2 people in 12 minutes. Recommend counting the number of people in the queue to estimate the wait (4-5 mins per person in front). Also, the pharmacy is very polite and efficient to younger and middle-aged customers but very often rude and unhelpful to older customers who might not have the best command of English. Staff may not realize that treating some customers disrespectfully also affects other customers' experience too. I assume the pharmacy staff are either overwhelmed or inundated by customers who may need extra time and or help - after all, it's a pharmacy.

The space for the pharmacy is too small for the traffic here. There us almost always a long line. They often don't have the drugs that have been prescribed for me. After the birth control fiasco with Walgreens, I am switching pharmacies.

Pharmacy staffs are rude, (except the Pharmacist ) acting like they're superior than the customers. Then why you working in the healthcare for?

So they just told me Walgreens is refusing to sell abortion pills. They have no problem selling oxy, heroin, cigarettes, liquor... but the abortion pill is a bridge too far? I will NEVER set foot in this or any other Walgreens again!

Been waiting 1 hour for my prescription that was supposed to be ready at 12pm. Person working the window was extremely rude to the people in front of me and I.

This is the WORST Walgreens location in the city! I've lived in various parts of SF over many years, and used multiple Walgreens locations. The Ocean Ave pharmacy is so incredibly slow, whether you show up in person or call. I have been on hold for over a full hour trying to reach a staff member -- still no answer. I had to hang up.To Walgreens Corporation: please review this location's broken operations. Something has to be done! I will go elsewhere if this incompetence continues -- CVS is looking like a better option.

The pharmacy really really really sucks I have been in line for 20 mins and I'm still in the same spot I started in. I don't think these people know how to do the job. This is hard to believe the line has not moved at all !!!!!!!!!

I had left an oral surgical operation to pick up pain medications at the pharmacy; I was visibly bandaged, bleeding through my gauze, and in pain, and the pharmacy technician woman made it extremely difficult to get my pain medication. She was so rude and helpful. She wouldn’t properly share how I could contact my insurance. I could barely talk through the pain, yet I was met with such harsh treatment.

I don't typically write reviews but in this case I felt as though it was warranted. If you are thinking about getting your vaccines at a Walgreens, do NOT go to this location. I had a vaccine appointment at 2:30 this past Friday on 12/16/22. I waited over an hour past my appointment time. When I was seen at 3:30, the pharmacist who administered my vaccines was unprofessional and seemed untrained. I work in the medical field and I believe it's common knowledge that GLOVES should be worn when administering any type of injection. Not only did he initially forget his gloves but he also forgot to sterilize the area with alcohol, I had to remind him. My biggest complaint however was the fact that he did not push the air out of the syringe before giving the flu shot. There was at least 1ml of air that was injected into my arm. This caused the vaccine and a small amount of blood to leak out of the site, which is NOT supposed to happen during IM injections. When I asked to speak to a manager I was sent to talk to the pharmacist who told me he had "done this 2,000 times" and "had never had any complaints before". Management needs to look into this incident because it is NEVER okay to inject and injection with air bubbles in the syringe, even if it is intramuscular and not intravenous. This is incredibly dangerous.

Not gonna lie, the experience of picking up prescription from the Ocean Ave location is awful, just awful. But, ironically, they have good, hardworking staff at the pharmacy. I see that every time I come in. I think they are just overwhelmed with the volume of work foisted upon them, and have too much paperwork and procedures they have to follow. Solution: switch to delivery, guys. I just did it. Open the Walgreens app and set your preference to home delivery from the local Walgreens store. They use fedex and I received my pills in 2 days. No waiting in endless lines, no need to stress the overworked pharmacists out. Win win!

Really small parking lot. I don't even know if the ppl who parked there are even shopping at Walgreens. I always end up parking on the street. It's a realllly small location. Don't expect much. J&J baby lotion was having a sale, so I came here to purchase more. My mom loves J&J lotion. Got the last 2 at this location. It seems that all locations only put out 4 or 2 so ppl don't excessively purchase them. While I was there, the security guard was 'observing' this guy. The guy was weird. He had this really ugly dirty backpack, and who knows if he put anything in his bag but it seems like he did when he was stopped at the door. He had a few deodorants.
