First thank you for keeping store in operations during this pandemic times. Was out for a walk and only bring cash and ID w/me. Got 5 checkout lanes opened but only one take cash. Guessed what! People waiting at the card/cash-only checkout lanes while other 4 idled. :( :(

As I went to pay at checkout, a woman with blonde hair asked me to take my dirty hands to pull down my mask because she wanted to check my ID for the wine I was purchasing. I am 30 years old and while I have my ID checked often, in the 2 months since the global pandemic began no Whole Foods location, Safeway location, or Trader Joe's location has ever asked me to take my filthy hands and touch a clean mask. There's a reason why people disinfect their groceries when they get home and do not touch their face with dirty hands while out in public during COVID-19. As a regular customer, who has never once been asked this in the last 2 months, I was a bit taken aback and questioned if it was necessary as it had never been asked of me before in any supermarket in San Francisco. She immediately became defensive and began speaking over me. Eventually, she handed me a glove to protect my mask from getting dirty which I appreciated. After I paid, I was annoyed with her attitude and ready to leave the store in peace. As I walked away with my 2 grocery bags, she continued speaking to me and giving my attitude. She reminded me that she's working 8 hour days as if I should be more passive in response to her rude temperament. That's when I continued walking and mentioned "I worked in retail for 10 years, I get it." attempting to cut her some slack and dismiss her terrible attitude. She proceeded to aggressively walked behind me and follow me asking me to repeat what I said, so I did. Then she continued getting angry and speaking to me in a very disrespectful manner. She felt that because of my experience in retail I should tolerate her behavior, however, as a previous store manager, I would never tolerate any employee that acted in such a way. They would be written up or fired on the spot. Feeling very threatened by her argumentative and inappropriate behavior, my boyfriend proceeded to pull out his phone and record her as she threw a fit. She became upset that he was recording her and demanded that he follow her outside- as if she wanted to fight him. I kept walking, trying to go to my car and leave the drama behind, but had to turn around when I heard her continue yelling at him upstairs. She then accused him of following her outside once a crowd gathered, when I reminded her that she asked him to "come outside" repeatedly on camera- I then asked her "What do you think he's going to do when you tell him to follow you?". In response, she stared at me like a deer in headlights realizing that her behavior and recount made no sense. She also accused us of being privileged when she is a white passing woman with blonde hair and we are two mixed hispanics with hard working immigrant parents- does not make any sense. I then demanded we leave because the last thing I want while I am trying to social distance is 7 employees standing closely to me, yelling in my face. All I wanted to do was get some lunch and dinner and ended up encountering an overworked, disgruntled employee. I understand we are all going through a hard time, however, that does not permit an employee to act in such a way. My hope is that she will be properly reprimanded. It felt as if she was looking for a fight because she was immediately defensive and aggressive- even when I attempted to cut her some slack and let her know that I understood what she was coming from on some level. Perhaps she was trying to cause a fight so that she does not have to work and can gain unemployment checks instead- something to keep in mind when addressing the issue with her.

Whole Foods had always been one of my most favorite places to visit when it comes to organic, sustainable purchases. Nothing beats shopping green products absolutely great for everyone's health and well being. If I have enough money to burn, then any sustainable purchase will be as good as mine. As the shelter-in-place order continues, I used to come back to Whole Foods to see the shelves in isles were half empty. But that was right before last Saturday, a huge line was formed, with individual shoppers six feet apart. Face mask and coverings were now common while waiting in line to buy essential goods. I'm glad Whole Foods still accept cash; otherwise, I wouldn't suppose to be here. I could imagine Rainbow Grocery Co-op and Trader Joe's; forming their long line before going inside and shop for essential needs. Other than face masks, Whole Foods have its whole set of rules to protect staff members and shoppers alike: 6 feet of distance and a continued usage of brown bags. The self serve food aisles were no longer available. It's terrible to see the restrooms had to be shutdown (not a problem if I make it back home). We'll just see how it works out before I will come back to Whole Foods again.

Making people wait outside in the middle of the rain is inhumane. If you are truly concerned with the health of your community you make the necessary adjustments and make sure they are indeed "safe." You must think outside the box.

To - Any Profesional Working Decent Human Being for Whole Foods that SINCERELY takes into consideration their EVERYDAY customers. We went in last night to get a cake for my sisters birthday. She has very HIGH allergies and is NOT able to consume ANY animal products. We went to Whole Foods like WE always do because it has always been a venue of our liking with all the resources and materials that we value. I am devastated at the courtesy that we did NOT receive from the bakery department the young lady's behind the counter WERE Unprofessional, On there phones and Laughing amongst them while we continued to ask what cakes were vegan and not They handed us a carrot cake explaining that it is made with pure VEGAN products . The label DID not say vegan So we asked YET again, we told them about our daughters allergies and they shooed us off saying it was. It's my little girls birthday today. The minute she wanted to enjoy her "vegan" cake she encountered a HUGE allergic reaction my partner and I had to rush her to the hospital !!! I would have been fine. Understood that it was a mere mistake because we are supposed to be human and mistakes are expected !! But I am not fine and I am not okay!!! My daughter had to spend the rest of her party in the ER and on our way home I decided to pick up the cake to take back and Inform A manager of the mistake that had been made to worn them of any future AVOIDABLE scenarios. NO SURPRISE that the "manager" in charge was AS disrespectful as the clerks from last night. I am at upmost disrespected and to not even cause a scene I accepted the NOT so welcome return just to keep the guy from disrespecting me. I understand the situations and limits but this is unacceptable!!

I've been coming to this whole foods for five years and every single experience has been pleasant. The produce is fresh and these days more reasonably priced. The staff are very attentive and willing to go above and beyond for customers. Today, I was having trouble looking for prepared chocolate pudding. I forgot to ask before entering the checkout line, so Jaleah (spelling?) called for another associate to go look for some. Markus/Marcus came back with every single variety and was even knowledgeable when I asked him questions about the products! He even apologized for taking time when I should have apologized for holding up the line. I thanked them both for being so patient and doing what they could to help me. It really made my experience memorable! Fantastic customer service!

Love this Whole Foods location, I come here all the time. This is the location that made me learn to love Whole Foods. Great layout that feels a lot more welcoming than the layout of Whole Foods in the Castro and in Soma. Great hot and food bar-food is consistently super fresh and excellent. Everyone who works there is nice. Good sales. Great cafe that offers the best priced freshly made acai bowl in san francisco that i've seen-$8 for a 16 oz bowl.

WholeFoods lunch bar's that Serve meatballs have one to 3 g per serving a trans fat in them for anybody who has a violent reaction to that food additive like I do. I went back to speak to the manager to see if anybody else has been complaining about getting sick from the bar to make sure that it wasn't just me having an allergic reaction to something in it or it being an actual food poisoning. After he said no I asked about the brand of meatballs. He said that they get them in volume but all stores in the state of California get their meatballs from the same supplier. I asked to view the label to see the ingredients. He showed me to the frozen food aisle and pulled a bag of Angus Beef no hormones, no additives, organic gluten free, most expensive brand of meatballs and upon looking at the label found it to have 1 gram of transfat per 3 meatballs..quickly placing them back grabbed a different brand that showed 2 grams of transfat per serving. He said they aren't allowed to have that on the shelf and that he was going to contact the supplier to figure out what it going on. Waiting to hear back. I pay more for the food at Whole Foods expecting no transfat or cellulose.

Great place to shop for groceries. People say that Whole Foods is really expensive, but it really isn't. They have a great variety for items. I feel like after Amazon bought Whole Foods the whole place went down in quality. It still is a great place for organic products tho. Place is great to pick up dinner and that's exactly what I'm doing right now. Well I'll see ya l8. Peace

Today I was extremely disappointed when I saw the amount of unhealthy fried food at the buffet. I have been a customer for years and this market has been my favorite option for healthy food. I always was able to find roasted fish, several options of roasted / baked protein.. Today I came across these fried foods totally opposite to what the market sells, it was frustrating .. fried ravioli? fried potatoes? Seriously?I just found foods with tons of oil.. I don't understand the reason why too much oil ..this market lost me as a customer.

This review is for their burrito counter ONLY. I love Whole Foods and have enjoyed their burritos in the past but this is the 2nd time I've come home with a build-your-own burrito that was simply lame. I ordered and a few minutes later the guy handed me my TINY burrito (almost frozen burritos size). For $10 I expect a decent size burrito. I shrugged it off and hoped for the best. Once home I find out what the CARNE ASADA burrito I ordered was actually CARNITAS. Top it off there was barely any pico de Gallo and I couldn't find the cilantro I asked for. Pretty irritated. $10 for THE WRONG MEAT AND A TINY A** BURRITO. Next time, I'll pass. Real bummer.

For birthdays, we always get some kind of treat at work. This time, we had a cake. We celebrate on Tuesday, April 23rd around 3:15pm. I believe we had the Strawberry Chiffon: Layers of vanilla cake, filled and topped with fresh strawberries and whipped cream. I've always adored this cake as it's moist, light, and not too sweet. It's actually one of my favorite grocery store cakes. I still adore the bakery section of Whole Foods. Especially their berry and cream cakes!
