Title: A Whiskey Lover's Dream at The Whisky Shop of San FranciscoReview:Nestled near the bustling Union Square at 360 Sutter St, The Whisky Shop in San Francisco is a haven for enthusiasts of this fine spirit. My recent visit there left me in awe of the extensive selection they offer, encompassing a range of whiskeys from virtually every corner of the world. As you step into the shop, you're greeted with shelves lined with bottles, each telling its own story of craftsmanship and tradition. The variety is staggering, catering to all preferences, whether you're a fan of the peaty flavors of Scottish whiskies or the smooth notes of a rare Japanese blend. What's truly commendable is how the store manages to present such an overwhelming selection in a manner that's both organized and inviting. It's clear that the management puts considerable thought into the layout and presentation, making it easy for patrons to navigate through the myriad of options. For those unfamiliar with San Francisco's streets, finding the shop might pose a slight challenge, but it's a worthwhile endeavor. Tucked away near Union Square, it's a gem that rewards your effort with a selection that's hard to find elsewhere.Apart from whiskey, the shop also offers a delightful range of Scottish items, making it a one-stop-shop for anyone looking to immerse themselves in the culture. In conclusion, The Whisky Shop of San Francisco is more than just a store; it's an experience. Whether you're a seasoned whiskey connoisseur or a curious novice, this place is sure to impress. Be sure to drop by when you're in the area; your taste buds will thank you.Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5

What a cool store! After visiting S.F. for 25 years, it's much harder to find unique gems these days. This place got my attention because they sold whiskey, but I was pleasantly surprised to see they also sold some popular British groceries (mushy peas!!!) Their Scotch whiskey selection is awe-inspiring and probably unrivaled! I'm a newcomer to Scotch, so I purchased a few mini bottles of some very unique scotches that you wouldn't be able to find in that size elsewhere. They also have a broad and well curated selection of Bourbon and international spirits. The staff know their stuff too! I will be back in a few months when I'm back in the city.

Employee Richard super nice. But manager/ whiskey buyer is a real cranky guy. Tried spending a lot of money on scotch and I asked for a discount. Cranky guy was totally rude and I packed up my money and left. Because I asked for a discount.

Fantastically, friendly staff! Wonderful selection of whiskeys and scotch! There's everything from high end to kitschy items for the browsers. Even the more obscure clans are represented in souvenirs and commemorative items. Son is currently considering going back to have a formal kilt measuring and fitting in the clan tartan.

If you can’t find it here, it’s probably travel retail only or discontinued. Ask at the front! They also do tastings every once in a while

Randomly stopped by this shop while visiting San Fransisco and this will be my new reason for coming to this city. Lovely knowledgable proprietor with a vast selection of Scotch and other whiskeys organized by region. I was able to find so many Scotch and Irish whiskeys that I am unable to find at home, and got them shipped back to me. I wish I found this shop before my last day in San Fran, but maybe it's better for my credit card that I didn't

Super-polite, helpful folks. In-store selection could be a bit better, and prices a bit more competitive - but, it's difficult to compete with the growing online market for celtic goods, esp. scottish, which is becoming increasingly popular, and they're likely still paying a premium, for commercial real estate space, in SF, for a small space in an expensive area (between Union Square and the Financial District).

I've always wanted to get properly fitted for a kilt and prince Charlie jacket and William Glen & Son was THE place to do it. John was very professional and knowledgeable. He made picking the right tartan and accessories a breeze. Looking forward to looking my best!

Paul is fabulous and really knows his stuff. He and his staff helped us get kilts for our kids same day for a last minute elopement, in the color we wanted. A very difficult feat. Fabulous customer service and the scotch, whiskey, whisky and burbon selection is to die for.

Bought a bottle of Glenauachie 2006 14 year old single malt scotch whiskey from them online. Paid $220.60 for the bottle. They Sent the wrong bottle initially and then sent a replacement, the wrong bottle again. I am asking them to refund the money I paid.

I visited the store in December of 2021 looking for possible gifts for family members and found cashmere sweaters for as low as $50. Not seconds, mind you, but BRAND NEW product at severely reduced prices. I was back in January and last week and they're still on sale. When asked they said the sale would last until the last sweater was gone. No further discount though.Great deals and awesome selection of Scotch and American Whiskeys!

I've long wanted a kilt, so when I was invited to a formal wedding, I knew that a formal kilt was the answer. I grew up in the City and I regret somehow not having checked this place out sooner! I went in to get fitted for the Prince Charlie rental. I was a little nervous as a woman going in to get fitted for a gentleman's outfit, but John especially made my experience a delight. He was very kind, warm, and helpful and he even gave me some tips for dressing for the wedding on my own. Thanks, John! I really appreciated chatting with you and all the tidbits of information! (Special shout-out to Will, who had to run up and down the stairs a few times as we got the sizing right.)
