Quaint sushi restaurant situated at the laguna Honda intersection. Was greeted immediately upon walking in on Friday night. We were going to order 2 regular Chirashi, but the waitress insisted on getting the Deluxe Chirashi. Quality of the fish was superior to those I tried in the Sunset. Highly recommend ! Deluxe is always worth it (just an additional $6)

No lie, this place has the most delicious sushi I’ve had in San Francisco. My wife and I live within walking distance and it’s dangerous because we want to come here all the time. The staff is so friendly and responsive. The customer service is wonderful. And the food is absolutely unbeatable. I can’t recommend it enough!

I can’t say enough about this restaurant. My bf was hesitate at first because the outside the restaurant look little dark and the name of the restaurant was not very clear but we still wanted to try after checking all the reviews on yelp and here.OMG, I’m so happy we did. What a amazing Japanese restaurant in SF with very good deal specially during Happy hours. The fish are so fresh and best quality, the other food is also very good as well.We love Japanese food and we always try to find a Japanese restaurant that we don’t have to wait hours or book way ahead if it’s popular ones and of course not overpriced like many other Japanese restaurants. Please come to try to support their business and I’m sure you will be coming every week just like us. Many street parking available along the sidewalk.I would give 10 stars if I could.Parking: Easy to find Street Parking

Their deluxe chirashi was so good! Everything was on point. Street parking isn't too shabby here. The restaurant itself is pretty small. Their menu is extensive and fairly priced. We got some of their appetizers and they were all good. Our server was friendly and upbeat. This is a solid sushi spot.

Our first visit here even though Yoji took over the spot from previous owner at least 3-4 yrs ago. It's Saturday evening and they've got steady business as well as Happy Hour 4-6 PM. We ordered several items all off the Happy Hour menu. They didn't have oysters tonight. Fried chicken kaarage - came out piping hot, not sufficiently drained of the oil but the chicken was moist, seasoned. The dipping sauce was a spicy aioli which I didn't care for, nor as crispy as others reported. Crunchy Spicy tuna roll - it was macerated tuna and this one was my least favorite. Didn't like the spicy sauce in the tuna. Wasn't crunchy either. Tempura roll - normally I love tempura rolls but this had mayo in it which was strange tasting in the roll. It had avocado and Tobiko in it. Pass for me. Garden roll - was OK. I've had better. The grilled kama collar was good but over salted. 2 pc hamachi nigiri was good. This is the nigiri I use as my standard at sushi restaurants. It was good but not a dish I'd go running back for. Tea is complimentary but you have to ask for it as well as the wasabi and pickled ginger (was too sweet). If you're there on a Saturday night, expect a wait for table. There's only 1 waitress for the entire place. Food arrived at a good pace .

Absolutely love this place! Great service and good food? This is it right here. The quality of their sushi was made to perfection. Came in on a Thursday night and there was a good amount of people in for dinner. The ambiance was quite casual, but great for small groups. The server is really sweet and also knowledgeable about their menu. She was attentive, professional, and made our experience a memorable one. If you weren't sure about what to get, her recommendations did not disappoint. It actually became one of the items I'd order once I started returning. The Chirashi bowl was a total hit! Along with their scallop rolls. Salmon skin hand roll was crispy and filling! I wish I knew about this place before, and it has now become one of my favorites in the city.

The last time I was here they were in a different location with a boba place in it. As soon as my party entered the building we were greeted and seated immediately. Though the building is quite small it felt very homey. Somewhat dark but bright because of the windows to the front of the building. My party of 4 are all types of sushi eaters. As in cooked rolls to uni nigiri. Speaking of Uni I ordered some uni and it was from Japan. The uni was fresh and delicious even had a friend tried it but he still didn't like the texture since it is a texture thing. We ordered for appetizers hamachi Kama, potstickers, chicken karrage. All of which came out pretty fast and fresh. The karrage was nice and juicy and the pairing with the spicy mayo was delicious. Potstickers we're nice and juicy and hot :) delicious. The hamachi Kama was really delicious as well. I recommend all of these appetizersWhen it came to the entrees the sashimi was very fresh and no fishy taste what so ever. The nigiri special was also really fresh and delicious. The rice to fish ratio was perfect!!! When brought to our table the waitress explained to us what fish was from where and what it was paired with. The rolls were all delicious and didn't fall apart or stuck together like some places do. All in all if you're a sushi lover. Come and stop by yoji sushi

This is a hole in the wall gem! Came with a friend during happy hour.Food - SUPER FRESH with lots of variety for happy hour. We ordered oysters (so delicious), sashimi (super fresh and lots of variety), fried chicken karaage (super crispy/crunchy and didn't feel too oily), sake daikon salmon sushi roll (pretty unique and refreshing). overall, really enjoyed how fresh and yummy the food was.Service - super prompt and really chill. Felt very comfortable.Ambiance - Pretty limited seating indoors since it's a rather small place. Happy hour started from 4PM and I got there around 445/5PM and there was still plenty of seating. It starts to fill up around 530PM.

The sushi was ok about average. Terrible service from the waitress who works on weekday afternoon shift, she never introduced herself, so we did not know her name. She kept rolling her eyes and was very impatient while we were deciding between things as we sat down or ordering, and she even looked at other customers and shook her head behind our back (she did not know we saw her). This place charges outrageous 25% tips for large parties of 6 or more. Although we had very unpleasant experience, but we just gave them the money and decided never to return. Save your money to go somewhere else with better food and service.

Quite busy when we got there, really small hole in the wall so we had to wait around an hour.-foOoOd-Toro heaven literally was toro heaven. Can taste the fatty ness of the seared toro and the fried garlic and onion just added so much flavor on top of everything. Truly an amazing experience.Yoji kanro was just as delicious. Getting their house roll is always a must for me when ordering.Nigiri has no explanation needed. Just order it and you won't be disappoint. Everything was so fresh and delicious. Might be the best sushi besides Michelin starred restaurants.
