“See's Candies was the longtime chocolate favorite for both me and my husband, and a way we celebrated the holidays over the years, whether from the store or through various fundraisers for schools 🎉 The benefit to in-store shopping are the samples as we shop! 🍫😋 Hubs and I stopped in May 2025 for his and hers chocolates, and I got my mom a box of her go-to dark marzipan for Mother's Day. We received See's Happy Habit rewards card for May-November with every intention of completing 7 of 7. June's chocolate stop was for hubby's bday, and we stopped in again at the end of July for my early August bday. I switched to dark chocolate hoping to avoid the GI distress that dairy digest no longer helps me with, only to learn from Google that See's uses butter fat in their dark chocolate too, so that it's creamier. D'oh! 🤦♀ I do hope someday to see a dairy-free line of See's, but all was not lost as there were rewards for 3 and 5 of 7, and supposedly they've done this promo before. It said Claim your reward by 11/30/25 so we did, but I didn't know that meant we were just turning in the stickers to get the gift card to use until 2/28/26. Because we wanted to to use the reward that day, the cashier had to void everything, rescan, enter my email to redeem. It was a clunky process for sure, but we did receive a $5 coupon for the New Year. Christmas 2024 I had received some unexpected gifts from coworkers. When we stopped in for my mom's dark marzipan, hubs helped me choose what each of my coworkers might like. I was happy we found something for everyone, and even happier when everyone loved their gift! 🥰🎁 Christmas 2025 when I rec'd unexpected gifts again I went to See's again, armed with my $5 coupon. The cashier pointed out the 50% off Christmas items so I picked up a Santa for hubs, I figured why not for a $1. Only it rang up the normal $2.25, and the cashier explained it's because my $5 coupon (divided among the entire order) already discounted the chocolate (by a whopping $0.17). I thought they should have let me know to ring up the Christmas items separate if I was using a coupon; the point of markdowns is they want to get rid of the items before they expire, and this trip just felt disillusioning and unsatisfying. My co-workers loved their gifts like last year, but so much for my and my hubby's lifelong happy habit. * * * * * I'm retaining the rest of my review for historical context: September 2021 we were sure to stop in for See's 100 Years Celebration Birthday Cake chocolates, and in October for Limited Edition Fall Treats - Brittle & Crunch and Coffee Lovers 🍂☕ In November, we discovered their creamy orange & chocolate wafers, with actual orange and tangerine juice concentrate! 🍊🍫 We also picked up their Advent Calendar, another new treat for us for 2021 📅 The remainder of my review is prior to COVID-19, but still relevant for any returning seasonal faves! Our Saint Patrick's Day celebrating included a stop at See's to get these must-try St. Patrick's Day potatoes 🍀 They were tasty and reminiscent of a pecan log! We did our adult version of trick-or-treating picking up a variety of Halloween goodies! 🎃 Truffles are one of our go-to's, and their Thanksgiving Pecan Pie Truffles have the perfect amount of brown sugar sweetness 🍁 When See's was out of their pecan pie truffles, we got one of their last boxes of Seasonal Pie Truffles to try 🍏🎃 Christmas brought the limited-edition Chocolate Mint Truffle, and besides the cute snowflake boxes we tried their Christmas Memories Box ”
