The person they assign to do your taxes really matters. The CPA that did mine was very slow in following up and took days and sometimes weeks to get back to me after each correspondence. I tried to be as patient as possible, but the last straw happened when after they said they would set up direct payment for my returns, but never did. So, for the first time in the past 10+ yrs I've used a CPA, I got a letter from the IRS saying that my payment was never made. Any other agency would have taken care of it before it would even occur to you that this would be an issue, but somehow I got the one who couldn't do that part for me.

I used this firm for approximately the last 5 years. But this was the last year. This year the accountant I had previously worked with wasn't there, and this year they changed all their systems apparently. Instead of simply sending my documents and answering their standard questions I had to sign up for a new service called basecamp. I wasn't familiar with this so it was a bit of hassle, but fine. What's not fine is that I had to drive a lot of the process, asking them if they needed info from me, and prodding multiple steps of the process along. Overall it took more than a month to complete my simple return and they didn't even help me schedule a payment to the IRS, so once again after *I inquired with them* on status I had to scramble and make my payment online manually for the first time. Very unprofessional in my opinion. Left me stressed and confused at the same time as paying them and the IRS thousands of dollars.

I'm spending so much time writing this because I am insulted and want to make sure no-one else gets exposed to this behavior. After two years of working with Stephanie and her team for our bookkeepings, the other day I sent a message on their portal to get some clarification on the $5k tax penalty, as well as the most recent invoice from them ($720 vs regularly $280-$300). I am beyond shocked and sorry to see such an impolite and unprofessional behavior in response - screenshots attached, so you can read and judge for yourself. She first shut me down on both questions, and said that I should be grateful! Once I replied and asked for clarification, she called me absurd, and archived our account! This sudden change of behavior is done within an hour after raising a concern with them! The day to day interaction with an accounting team is simple. It's the behavior when there is a concern, which determines if you are getting a professional service or not. Stephanie was extremely unprofessional, impulsive and impolite in relying to my messages. I have never seem such a behavior and advise the readers to stay away from this business. To be fair, her employees were helpful and also were conscious enough to write and call separately and apologize for what they called her "impulsive behavior". It turned out that the jump to $720 was due to a phone call to help them figure out how to clear a warning from the QBO account. We talked on the phone for 10-15 mins, and I got charged for 1hour:45minutes at $95/hour + another 45mins at $95/hour that they called Intuit to learn how to remove the error. The error was never removed, and I was charged over $200 extra so that they can learn their job. I wasn't told this is extra cost, that's why I asked for clarification. I did pay the full invoice as the last transaction, cause I am not a type of person who'd keep someone's money. But be aware, if she is having a bad day, chances are that you'll be insulted!!

I worked with Angela this year and will definitely be using Accounteam in the future. The portal leaves something to be desired, but Angela was awesome.

Communication is sub par. They switched “account managers” on me several times and charge me double to train them. Then at the conclusion of our business dealings they charged 400% fees and told me I should be thankful. Then to cap it off they told me I was not good enough to be their client after I fired them for reasons noted above

These guys saved me a lot of money in the future. I mainly spoke to Mr. Leet on what I can do with my small business legally and not legally. I've spoken to many people working with taxes and they usually tell you to overpay to avoid any trouble, but I felt this team had a lot of experience and knew how everything worked. I was able to get a tip or two that will help me in the long run. Thank you!

We've been working with Accounteam for about 4 years and love how easy and integrated everything is from bookkeeping to tax returns. Stephanie is extremely knowledgeable and takes as much time as needed to help you get on board and working with them. Their team works together seamlessly to keep us on top of details. Luda works with me on Quickbooks issues and is fabulous. They are efficient, convenient and always available to help, I highly recommend them!

Account team is the best! We had a few years of taxes to catch up on, Stephanie, Svetlana and Fiona all worked very hard to meet our deadline and get our books in the correct order. I would highly recommend them, they are precise, fast and friendly. Again thank you so much for all of your help and looking forward to doing more business with you.Phil and Melissa

We are extremely happy Accounteam--our main interface has been with Anna (bookkeeper), but Stephanie, Svetlana, and tax-guru Rudulf have all been excellent. They are great communicators, very customer oriented, and good at their jobs. They helped us get up and running on QB Online and catch up on long overdue tax returns (not an easy task). Also, they use a free tool called Basecamp which has really been great to facilitate a group effort with document handling.

We've been working with Accounteam for our small business accounting and tax preparation for several years now. They are a super responsive, proficient, and efficient operation. They also get how to use modern cloud-based tools, such as QuickBooks and Base Camp, which has made it a breeze to work with them.

As a start-up, it's been crucial time management to partner with an experienced partner like Accounteam. We've enjoyed working with one of their delightfully efficient bookkeeper and Quickbooks pro who's helped us set-up our system so we're ready for taxes. She's savvy in most effective bookkeeping/ accounting ways, so we're able to run numbers and check our profitability. Also set up our payroll via Quickbooks, which is saving our business' overhead.Accounteam is also able to remotely answer questions, as well as meet for guidance sessions. Very convenient and accommodating for our busy schedule, which we so appreciate.Without Accounteam, we'd still be stuck trying to figure things out ourselves, and not working on our client's projects.Highly recommend for their effective services!
