The material taught here is done so in a very structured and engaging way to stimulate our children while they think it's just play time. I've had 2 of my children spend years here before entering grade school where it was made clear that they were more advanced than the other students. I credit this result largely to Ms. Sara who puts her heart and soul into being there for our kids during the day when we're not able to.As parents, we prioritize the safety of our children and the quality of their environment. I can say with the utmost confidence that Ms. Sara provided that and more for my two little ones. My kids are now in grade school and still ask about visiting B2B. Ms. Sara couldn't be more of a blessing to us here in San Jose.

The best preschool in town! two of my children went to B2B Montessori for many years. They learned so much from their time there. They learned the sounds of the alphabet, how to make good decisions, math and geography, they took field trips, and they love Ms Sara, dearly. This is a place where my children have positive core memories, my kids are in 1st and 2nd grade now and they still remember Ms Sara and want to visit her all the time. Because of their time at B2B Montessori their education in elementary school was propelled. 10/10 I would highly recommend.

My child couldn't speak & understand many words when she is almost 3 yrs old, she often had conflict with other children due to the communication problem at that time.With friend's referral, 6 months ago, we found this wonderful pre-school, with Ms. Sara's carefully help, my child quickly learned potty training within one month,and she learned a lot of new words and can talk & play with other children smoothly now. She can count number from 1 to 100 one-by-one, and even can count numberby jumping 2 or 5 all the way until 100. This is amazing! Ms. Sara is an expert with children. My child has a lot of fun and happy time here and she loves to go to school every morning.

Back to Basics Montessori Christian Preschool is my daughter's first school. I got a referral of this school from my friend. To be honest, this is a right and wise choice. Before I sent my daughter to this school, she stayed at home with her grandma and cannot speak English at all. After one year, she learnt a lot from Ms. Sara, including language. My daughter said that her teacher, Ms. Sara is the best teacher ever in the world. At school, my daughter learnt how to count and write number 1 to 100, count by 5 and 10, and she also learnt how to sound words. She read 45 books at the preschool and now she can read the books by herself. I am so proud of her. She also knows how to pray for her family members and friends. The most important thing is Ms. Sara helped my daughter to build up the confidence on the stage. She worked with all the kids to prepare the shows for parents on Thanksgiving day and Christmas day. I guess this is the traditional program at this school. All parents were so excited and enjoyed the shows. I am quite sure all the kids are the first time to do the shows. They worked so hard to learn, practice, and rehearsal. I also can tell how much efforts Ms. Sara Put on the shows. I really appreciate whatever she taught for my daughter. My daughter was graduated from this preschool last year. She is now in kindergarten at a private school. Most of knowledge from kindergarten she's already known/learnt from this preschool. Now it is easy for her to study at K. I would say a good teacher deserves our respect. After graduation from here, my daughter asked me many times to bring her back to the school to visit Ms. Sara. I know she REALLY REALLY LOVE her teacher! Because SHE IS THE BEST TEACHER EVER. If you have a young kid and are looking for the preschool, I strongly recommend you to send your kids to this school.

We sent our daughter to this school for a year. Ms. Sara is a great teacher. Our daughter went from not speaking English to reading and writing English in one year! The Thanksgiving performance and Christmas drama were amazing! Our daughter has growing in confidence and virtues in the love of Jesus under Sara's care. Ms Sara knows the balance between discipline and love. Our daughter respects her authority yet she loves her as well. Also Ms Sara cares each child beyond the school. We really appreciate her help and guidance in our parenting journey. You also see many alumni come back and greet her.

We love Ms Sara and highly recommend this school for your 3-6 yr old! You can tell early on that Ms Sara chose this path because teaching children is her passion, not a career obligation. My son attended here for about 16 months, from 4 years old through the summer before kindergarten. He grew emotionally and was challenged mentally, spiritually and physically. He wanted to learn cursive on his own and so she implemented that into her one-on-one time with him. His writing and reading just exploded, improved well beyond average for his age group. He loved his part in the Christmas play, Joseph. This is a well rounded school and we miss her! ?

This is a fantastic place which God puts into my life. This school has totally changed my son in three years and also my family. Ms Sara has gifts from God to teach kids and support kids' family. If you trust Jesus, this is the place for you and your family. I still remember my son made me crazy and struggling all the time before we went to this school, eventually he has learned a ton of skills and knowledge from Ms Sara's guidance in Jesus Christ. She taught my son how to eat, how to walk, how to be humble, how to respect, how to pray, how to read bible, how to be a little man like Jesus wants us to be. I have no words to describe what I have experienced, only praise to the Lord, Jesus Christ! Thanks Ms Sara for all the help and support! I know Ms Sara is the person God puts into my life and help my son and my family. If you trust in God, you should come and see, you will learn what I am talking. Once again, Ms Sara is a gift from God to support the kids, the families, the community and the world! I am talking this in Jesus name!

That bad review is ridiculous. Please disregard that. I have three children and am a licensed attorney and that review was absurd. I have seen a range of childcare centers and schools over the last decade. My youngest struggled at his school for TK and was literally failing out at age 4. Not because he wasn't smart but the teachers couldn't handle it/him/life? I switched schools mid-year to Sara. She was the first teacher to truly LOVE and SEE my child, and she does that with each child. She takes a child-first view, getting to know each child, their needs/wants and tailors her program so each child is given the opportunity to succeed and thrive. My son HATED his last school, would throw up and cry when we pulled in the parking lot. He had a ton of negative self-talk when he'd leave school. After ONE DAY with Sara he came home and told me, Did you know i am a child of God? Did you know i have beautiful eyes? His entire mood and demeanor shifted and he began to thrive at Sara's place. COVID has destroyed a lot of small businesses. I hope Sara can thrive and rebound from this pandemic because children are going to need places like her school in the years to come. She is a wonderful teacher and a true asset to any community. Any child would be lucky to have Sara as a teacher and that's all that we parents want - someone who cares about our kids as much as we do. You will not regret placing your child here.

Upon reading a negative review I have to say, I am sad and surprised to see this. My daughter Alynna was in the same class with this child and she has never had a negative thing to say about Ms. Sara. Our daughter looks forward attending Back to Basis Montessori School and enjoys every moment with Ms. Sara/ and the kids. Our family's children have attended this school since 2010, we've had such a good experience, I can surely referr other friends and family members. My husband and I, are very much involved with other parents within the school and have not heard any negative complaints. Please do not doubt this school and see for yourself, you wont regret it. Be blessed today & always.

Back To Basics Montessori Preschool is a treasure for so many reasons. When my daughter selected this school for her twins, they were a little-over 3 years old. Potty trained and ready for learning and socializing. The head teacher and owner of the school, Ms. Sara, is so good with the children. She's been teaching for years and her curricula is fresh/current. The children learn language , arts, and culture. Ms. Sara is beloved by all. Parents love her because she creates a safe environment for learning. It is so precious to hear them prayer before their lunch and snacks. Ms. Sara understands the child's mind and helps mold their character through learning and play. It's an adorable place with love and creativity built in. I'm so thankful that my grandchildren had this experience for two years. Best thing for them. It's a small school and the instruction is tailored to your child. The children are encouraged to help one another. It's the Montessori way Ms. Sara says. To this day, we pass by Ms, Sara's and occasionally stop in to give her a hug. She loves seeing her former students. And it's good for the children to know that she is still there teaching. Ms. Sara is a really loving person and highly qualified to teach and mentor our little ones. It's a career she's had for decades and you can tell she still loves it! Thank you Ms. Sara for making a difference in our children's lives. You are a treasure.

PLEASE THINK TWICE BEFORE SENDING YOUR CHILD HERE. My son attended a little over 2 years ago and he recently disclosed something that Ms. Sara made him and other children do. Last week my back was hurting so I laid on my stomach and he offered to give me a massage. While we were talking about back pain he brought up this school and asked me if I remember the teacher and I said yes Ms. Sara. He then went on to tell me that she made him and other kids give her back massages the same way. I AM SO DISGUSTED AND UPSET OVER THIS!! I have been wondering what she said or did to him to not mention it. Anytime he was picked up and was asked about his day it was never mentioned. TWO YEARS LATER he brings it up -I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS SCHOOL AND PLEASE BEWARE OF HER!!!!

My son is about to complete one year at Back To Basics Montessory school. If we were not moving, we would have been continuing in the same school till the time my son is ready for the elementary schools. I get choked up when I think of everything what Ms Sara has done for my little man.I should not admit but I have to say that initially I was a skeptical mother of a 2 year old who never attended the school & used to cry everyday whenever we used to drop him in BTBM. My son was so reluctant to go to school because he was at home all the time so it was his first experience but Ms Sara dealt with him so patiently and sometime strictly too,to make him understand the importance of school..Most importantly my LO WAS NOT POTTY TRAINED, and Ms Sara did a great job and made our life so easy with the transition. When my LO turned 3, Ms Sara started teaching him how to write but due to relocation we have to move out but I am pretty sure if we could have been here my son would thrive like anything .. Ms Sara is so warm, caring and sometime strict too just like coconut .She is a loving mother, teacher, friend and a very good human being , the list will go on and on, but to summarize this we just love her.. she goes far and beyond to support and find the solutions to the kids/parents problem.. Once your child enrolls here he will get Ms Sara's access for the life time. Not to forget the field trips, art projects, songs and plays to enhance/ build their inter personal skills. I have to say that my son has great affection for Ms Sara ,Sister Ines and his friends that he was so upset when he first heard of relocation.I can write lots of good things about BTBM & Ms Sara in short,parents if you are looking for a perfect school where you want the guidance,personal attention, growth, knowledge for your kids you should enroll your kid here. Highly recommended this place.
