I am revising my review from 1 star to 5. I was contacted by John Candell, the Bassett regional manager, he apologized for the mix up and vowed to make it right. John requested photos of the poor assemblies so he could present his argument with the corporate office. Shortly after send the photos John called me to say the factory will replace the dresser with a new one. During the entire process John kept checking in to make sure of our satisfaction.The new dresser arrive the assembly was perfect, all the butt joints were tight as I'd expect. There was one small issue, the underside of the legs were unfinished. I called John he asked for photos. Soon after her called me back to say he will have a service tech call me to refinish the legs.Tech came out a few days later finished the legs in less than 1 hour. Tech workmanship was clean and efficient. We are pleased with our purchase and very satisfied with Bassett customer relations. Thanks John T

We drove from Sacramento to this store in San Jose and it was worth every mile. Kim guided us as we searched for a new sofa. She looked at photos of where we were moving to and helped us find the perfect sofa. It was for a home in Connecticut so she got all of the logistics arranged. She would update us on the status and delivery. Everything went perfectly. If you are reading this, you probably don't have to travel as far as we did, but by all means go this Bassett store - you will not be disappointed!

How fortunate I was to have Bassett recommended to me as I shopped for a couch. I went to the Blossom Hill store, and my sales/designer was Rick, and I couldn't have been more pleased. He made it very painless process and had an unbelievable I for putting together the right colors for me. The quality of furniture is gold star. I wanna also think John the store manager for being so inviting on the phone. I will continue to do all my furniture shopping at Bassett on Blossom Hill. Thank you again Rick for helping me find the perfect couch.

I Just cant express how pleased I am with my purchases from the San Jose Bassett store! Rick Weingart, my sales person drove all The way to my home in Brentwood during COVID to help me furnish my new home after work! It was hard for me to leave my home since I was taking care of my ailing 90 Year old Father so I really appreciated his willingness to drive all that way to offer design assistance. Rick brought fabric samples, brochures, cushions, drawer fronts - everything that I might need for me to match my floors, wall color & cabinets ... I am a very visual person so having the samples in my environment gave me the confidence to make the right selections. I ordered 18 different furniture pieces, all of which were made beautifully & are such good quality. I love the soft close doors on the TV cabinet & bedroom case goods & the distessing is wonderfully done. As you can imagine ordering that many pieces I did have an imprrfection in one of the sectional cushions, Rick & the store Manager John Candell did not stop until it was perfect! Thank-you so much for all of your assistance helping to make my new house a HOME!

I would love to give Bassett Furniture a rave review, they were so amazing with my product selection and ordering process, they were great with advising when items might be delivered and delivery was on time! And then...the missing piece, the dresser not delivered with the rest of the set, no reason why, it was left up to us to call the warehouse only to be informed it was damaged in transit and needing to be replaced. It is so unfortunate but i cannot get anyone to call me or return my emails with ANY information on when a replacement will be shipped. I have contacted them through phone calls to the warehouse, phone calls to the store, emails to my sales rep, the manager, the office administrator and now an email to the corporate office. Still no answer today. So frustrated!

I love the table I purchased. Unfortunately it had factory damage (arrived in undamaged box and broken pieces were not in the packaging). Because my new place was significantly delayed I had to store it in the boxes in a temporary place. Due to the storage period Bassett refused to fix the issue. I ordered from another furniture supplier with the same situation, had a minor issue, and it was fixed immediately. I won't be completing the furnishing of my new place with Bassett.Also, I was sold a Guardian Insurance policy with the promise that it would take care of any issues that might arise. What a scam. The fine print excludes almost anything that is actually likely to happen. Bassett way oversells what is covered.

Jacob is an excellent salesman!!! He was very friendly kind and understanding and patient to older people . He showed us everything we wanted to see. He was not pushy and let us make our own decision with several options!He found the perfect recliner for us and it was in the store room We get it delivered in a week not 5 months!!!! Great job we'll come back again someday!!!! I recommend you check the place out!!!

We bought a sectional recliner couch from Bassett 4 months back and it was the worst couch we ever got.“EXPENSIVE COUCH” !!!!!!!The couch seat was torn when we received and the couch covers were small for the couch size. Unequal size seats. Uncomfortable to sit. Over all it looked like we got a second hand couch from Craigslist.Contacted customer service and the repaired the tear and tried to replace the seats , but still the same issue. The couch seats bend and go inwards every time we use the recliner and we have manually pull the seat up.Contacted customer service and we are still waiting for a response……

Very dissatisfied with Bassett on Blossom Hill Rd. in San Jose CA. When we finally received our furniture, the end table wobbled, we did not receive our battery pack, we did not receive the pillows ordered. Hearing back took more than a few days. I sent several emails. And when I finally talked with someone she said she had called and text'd me. Actually she had called and text'd my sister, but didn't figure that out! Finally, one of the pieces of furniture I ordered did not fit through the doors into any of my bedrooms. I asked Bassett to exchange the merchandise and they said because it was a custom piece, come on, everything is custom, they would not exchange the piece of furniture which now sits in my hallway!!! I did not ask to return it, but only to exchange it. Very very poor customer service. Once they get your money, they leave you hanging!

Updating this review! Bassett is excellent with a great sales team and selection. We had been to so many furniture stores I got confused. While we didn't select our furniture from Bassett this time, I would definitely try them next time. My apologies to Bassett: keep up the good work!!

Thanks to Rick at the Blossom Hill store, I was able to find the perfect sofa and tables for my living room makeover! As it turns out, changing from a very traditional room to a more contemporary looking one, is a bit more challenging than I expected. Rick's product knowledge, attention to detail and insightful guidance was so needed and appreciated. He even knew the fabric I would pick for my new sofa before I did! I am looking forward to having my new sofa and accent tables in my home.

Great customer service when it came to ordering my couch and picking out pillows and fabric, but the problems started when the couch was delivered. The couch was L--shaped and within a month the middle cushion, where my son always sits while playing his xbox, had a permanent dent in it. I called the store, and while no one ever got back to me about a resolution, I received a new cushion in the mail two weeks later. But within the next couple months the cushion seems started coming apart in multiple places. I then started an email trail with the manager expressing my concern about the couch falling apart within its first year and what my rights would be after the one-year warranty expired. Turns out I had none! I was sent three more cushion covers, but told the fabric and seems weren't covered after a year...on a $4,000 couch. We are now in year two and my kids don't like to sit on it because the fabric has gotten rough and uncomfortable. I will never purchase another thing from Bassett.

What a lovely and productive we had to Bassett on Blossom Hill yesterday. Rick helped us not only pick three new pieces of familyroom furiture but design/style/adapt the sectional, love seat, and recliner chair to meet our family's specific needs. Lots of selections and choices!! We have a large but uniquely shaped space that now has furniture which is comfortable AND attractive. I am very confident that any spills or accidents along the way can be handled by the environmentally friendly treatment put on the fabric or Bassett coming out to our house any time! Bassett was our first and last stop and will be again in the future!
