Please drive vehicles in the area before driving them out of this Budget Car Rental. The picture below is a direct reflection of the vehicles status the entire time we were on the road. This store front commits fraud on many ends of the spectrum and will charge fees past the time of car return! Save yourself money, time , and peace of mind. This business has been reported to the BBB. DO NOT RENT VEHICLES FROM THIS LOCATION.

My sister in law made a reservation for a car at the East ridge Loop location, we get to the mall try calling because we were not exactly sure of the location inside the mall. No answer, but we end up finding the store ourselves. We walk in and end up waiting for about 5-7 minutes meanwhile the whole time I am calling and still no answer nor anyone walking out from the back. About 7 minutes later a guy walking in from outside of the mall on the phone and had the nerve to have and attitude So this 1 star is for the terrible customer service

Never rent from this dealer or this company!!! If I could give 0 stars I would. This was the worst experience ever! They rented me a moving truck that was obviously a stolen vehicle. No logos, no front license plate, graffiti painted over with a brush, no console inside, weatherstripping between cab and box pulled down and fallen out. Oh yeah, the tire warning light was on and they didn't care! And to top it all off, it wasn't even filled up with gas so I had no idea how much to put in! Ripped off for $50 worth of gas! Instead of finding me something decent to drive they played on my desperation. And customer service, instead of making it right, is making me run around in circles trying to get a partial refund! Horrible company! And horrible dealer!

Never rent from this dealer or this company!!! If I could give 0 stars I would. This was the worst experience ever! They rented me a moving truck that was obviously a stolen vehicle. I am writing this review as I do not want anyone to experience the same disrespect and disregard as I did. I have rented from this location multiple times through my corp account and given the type of truck needed this was the most convenient location. However the trucks are absolutely filthy, the service agents (especially Leo) are absolutely inconsiderate, no service skills, do not communicate effectively, and basically are lucky to have a job. On my most recent visit we rented a truck in advance in which we went to pick up the truck on our rental fay to be informed that the truck was "under maintenance " and not available. We were informed after driving 45 min to pick up the truck on our reservation day. We were told to go ahead and drive the truck but it was our issue knowing the truck needed some sort of maintenance. "Are you serious?" Drive a truck that is in need of maintenance and put myself in danger...I don't think so. I was told I would get a call in 24hrs after it was fixed. The next day I didn't receive a call so I called and once again not ready. This went on for 3 additional days. 5 days after my original reservation the Tru k was ready. I went to pick it up to identify once again the truck was disgusting, had no gas, and now I had to adjust my day to sanitize the vehicle and put gas. I returned the vehicle to the location at the end of the day be a use I would not be ae to use it for the next 2 days do to qork conflict. I returned 2 days after to pick up the truck again to identify that the truck had been vandalized in their own parking lot(yes the parking lot at the mall with security and all their other trucks). The back door to open the truck had wires removed and could not open. As I was desperate for a truck I asked for a smaller vehicle to try and help me move product for the day. I was provided an even older truck with over 200k miles and absolutely disgusting interior. After a long day I returned the vehicle and stated I would need a copy of the receipt. After being given a copy of the receipt I questioned the billing to my company as we only used the large tru k for 1 day and shouldn't be charged for a vehicle that was unable to be used. Leo immediately began yelling at me(I am a female that never once raised my voice). I stated that he needed to stop telling at me and understand that his company was ripping my company off. He threw his hands in the air and stated its not his concern, I can call corporate, and that it was my fault the truck wasn't able to work. I asked for the manager in which I saw a name "Amir" and Leo stated he isn't the manager and just laughed. Stay away from this location, they are not worth it, the trucks are terrible, and these individuals do not deserve to represent the budget company.

Do not use this office. They will lie to you and force you to buy their insurance.I needed a van in order to move and Budget seemed to offer one at a great price. I was quoted an estimated $915.64 for a 4 day van rental. When I got to the dealer, I was then offered a rate of $1212.71. I inquired why the price was so much higher and the salesman (Employee: SHARA2) said it was because of the insurance. I asked him "Do I need the insurance?" to which he replied that I do. Being not from the US I took this at face value and proceeded to sign thinking I would be unable to rent the van if I did not take their cover. The salesman then had the audacity to say he would give us the premium cover for the basic price, as though he was doing US a favour!? It wasn't until later that I found out that they cannot force you to buy insurance.In addition, the van provided had a tire with a hole in it. I didn't notice until I arrived home (20 miles away) to find that the tire was almost flat. I called the dealer right away and instead of sending someone to help, he asked me to just fill it with air and drive 20 miles back. To his credit, I did receive another van when I did get back but I think it's highly unprofessional and even potentially dangerous to ask your customers to just 'refill the tire and drive back'.Referring back to the insurance issue, I attempted to contact Budget customer service who told me that I'd have to call back Friday morning. I did, made my complaints and was told a supervisor would call me back, they did not. It's now Monday, and I still haven't had a call back. (I made another request today) and whilst the move was successful, this extra stress and losing packing time having to deal with broken vans did not help.Do yourself a favour and rent elsewhere. If you do want to stick with budget, then absolutely do not go to this office.

I was unsure going here after seeing the reviews. But it looks like it's under new management. Andy is very friendly and helpful, and was able to get me a great truck to rent for the weekend (no way my SUV could fit the things I needed). It sounds like after COVID they had a lot of trouble getting up and running because of a lack of trucks especially - funny enough this is exactly what most people complain about!I'll definitely be back because new management under Andy is great. Most of this stuff comes down to who runs the place and Andy does great. I'm all for supporting local business owners and it's clear Andy's been hard at work trying to fix the reputation here :)I've only ever had trouble renting from Budget (or Avis?) when I try to do something last minute. My recommendation would be to try and book in advance as much as possible - and to be flexible if you're going to book last minute!

This place and customer service is great! I don't get the reviews. They are a singular location with a set amount of cars and trucks. They are dependent on the availabilities of other people/locations so it's not always fault of the location. Anil really cares about his customers and tries to get the best deal possible. He is no nonsense, super knowledgeable and friendly. I will definitely be coming here to rent in the future!

Scammer location: Do not rent here!! I would give this 0 stars if I could. The van was dirty inside and during covid thats unacceptable but my main issue was what I was charged. They were supposed to out a hold for 188 and charge me correct amount at drop off. I only use the truck for 3 hours and drop it off and that location has no record in their system of what to charge me because systems aren't linked. We both call Eastridge location and they say I should be charge 98 only and that's what they're putting through. They can email me q receipt or provide me any copy of what they charged and said to check c.c. statement which showed the pending 188. 3 days later I see that the charge goes through and 188 is what I was actually charged. Called location and they were rude rushed me odd the phone said that was the right amount, said to call customer care, took another call while talking to me and then hung up on me. Then called budget customer care and they wouldn't get a supervisor, only would give me 50 back and hung up on me twice. Now I'm being told different terms for miles and stuff then what the man told me when I picked it up, which was miles will be reflected at end of service and charged appropriately. Having to dispute this with credit card company. Awful experience. Do not rent here.

The truck itself was decent. This review is for the representative "Leo" Never have I encountered such rude, derisive and condescending behavior from a customer service representative. We asked about returning the truck on Sunday as it would be very difficult to return before going to work Monday morning. He insisted they were closed on Sunday for Easter and that we'd have to just return it on Monday. Upon arriving Monday morning he stated we'd be charged a late return fee for not bringing it in on Sunday. He claimed they do inventory late Sunday nights even when they were, in his own words, closed on Sunday for Easter. At no point during the rental process did Leo show an ounce of interest in being remotely helpful. His answer to any question was "call customer service" I wouldn't send my worst enemy here.

We rented a truck from the Budget in Eastridge San Jose to move a bed. The truck itself was already disappointing. The brakes would squeal whenever you stepped on them, and then they would continue to squeal again for a few seconds after you release the brake pedal. The right sided back door would not stay open, which was a huge pain when we were trying to maneuver heavy furniture in and out. On top of that, the Budget representative who helped us had the gall to charge us an extra $35 in fees. $25 for "late return" when he clearly documented the time BEFORE he brought us to the vehicle for the walk around check and AFTER we returned to the desk from examining the vehicle again upon return. Then, when we contested the Drop Off fee since we had picked up and dropped off at the same location, the representative told us that he was a trainee so he couldn't remove the fee and we would have to call back the next day to follow-up. Well, I called the next day and the representative assured me he had removed the fee. When I asked him if there would be an email confirmation, he said "No, but you can check the website" and hung up on me! Try as I might, I cannot find anywhere on the website where I can confirm that this fee has been removed. I have no choice but to wait until the transaction goes through on my credit card and see what they charged me. From beginning to end, the Budget representatives have been unprofessional. Even when trying to calculate the mileage, the number didn't show in their computer system so he asked us to make an estimate on distance traveled! I am very disappointed in my experience and I can guarantee that I will not be renting from Budget again.

Absolutely the worst company ever. I will never ever rent car from this place. I have reservation before two weeks to make sure. And they called me in the last minute in the same day I pick up and said they did not have any car to pick up. I likes WTF are you kidding me. I only have one hour left to pick up and everything was ready and you called and said no car, nothing can do.

They said it takes 72 hours to open a commercial account, you can't inquire of their prices if you'll be using for business until the 72hours completed. I was asking if there is any way to receive it tomorrow - he rudely just hung up on me while I was talking !!
