California Bank & Trust has been one of the most difficult banks I’ve ever dealt with. Beyond their poor customer service and outdated online systems, their policies make it extremely frustrating to run a business account.
One of the worst issues is the limitation on deposits. For a business that handles a large number of transactions each month, it’s unreasonable to place strict caps that penalize customers for simply making deposits. Instead of supporting business growth, their structure feels restrictive, almost like they’re discouraging you from using the account as intended.
Every interaction whether online, over the phone, or in person feels like a battle. Policies are unclear, fees appear out of nowhere, and there’s little willingness from staff to explain or work with you. For a bank that claims to support businesses, they do the opposite by making basic account management unnecessarily difficult.
If you value efficiency, flexibility, and fair banking practices, I strongly suggest looking elsewhere.

Branch managers Veronica and kris lai are dishonest and rude. We had a threeway call with the call center and Veronica was saying dishonest info and talking over me as well. Kris was saying "you dont need to tell me about other banks" when i was just comparing features lol

I walked in with a large check and Tiffany Hoang helped me open an account. She was so helpful with opening an account and was able to move my money around the way I wanted it to and me and my Grandma were both extremely happy... thank you so much for all your help Tiffany Hoang and C B and T!!!

Bank manager was not in and is working only 1 business day per week. As clients of the bank for over 40 years, I am very disappointed no one at this branch would assist us for the PPP loan from the stimulus plan.

The people that work at this bank are good and very nice but the services are horrible. I would not recommend anyone do business with this bank. They charge daily fees that mount up and all you get is a letter in the mail telling you that there is an issue on your account. Also the people that work at the Walnut Creek bank are arrogant and not nice at all. Closed my account and moved my money to a different bank.

cool place
