Great staff, good vibes. This is a no nonsense dealership who hires well and truly cares about the customer experience and service. I did all of the 'numbers' work on the phone and via text before coming into the dealership. Eric the online sales manager is great - he is a straightforward and honest guy. Highly recommended.

Inferior Customer Service! I was instructed to come in for a recall. I came at the appointed time. Before I could speak the Service Rep told me, "Wait outside. Sit in your car!" So I did. Then a technician waved at me to pull forward. I did. Then I waited some more. Finally he came up and said, "Are you here for the recall?" I said, "Yes." He said, "The parts didn't come in; come back on Monday." I said he should have called me. (I had a ride (my wife) also come to the dealer to drive me home.) On Monday I called them first. After 15 minutes on hold they said, "The part isn't here." "Why didn't you call me?" I asked. "Oh, sorry about that," she said. This dealership only wants to sell cars. Once you've bought your car they are done with you.

I purchased a new car from Capitol Hyundai a few weeks ago. Great experience. Joshua Flambert from sales helped us out when we took our first test drive. We were just starting out in the car buying process so we weren’t ready to buy yet. Joshua was friendly, courteous, and patient, no hard-sell at all. We ended up going back a few weeks later to purchase the car. He was friendly, answered all our questions, and was really patient with the test drives. We ended up getting a great price on the car, better than we expected. Joshua has continued to be really responsive , even weeks after the sale, helping us out with some odds and ends. We’re very happy with our car buying experience at Capitol. Thanks Joshua. One other thing we liked about Capitol, was they seem to have a lot of models on their main lot. We went to another dealership and they had a small lot on the main auto row, so we couldn’t see all their listed models or compare the different colors. They have a pretty big lot at Capitol and we could see the different trims and colors and compare side by side.

I am not sure where to begin, but I would personally recommend not to go forward with a Hyundai car. Go with any other brand but not Hyundai. I was scammed at the Santa Clara Steven’s Creek Hyundai Dealership by their Sales Engineer with the loan purchase and now with the Servicing Department at Capitol Hyundai, San Jose.I had just serviced my car Hyundai Elantra 2021 SE two weeks back as the parking camera was not working. This had happened within 6 months of buying the car. Additionally, I had informed their representative to check the brakes as I thought they might have loosened a bit or something. They assured me that they will look into it and etc. The same day I got the car back with the backup camera fixed and the car report stating the brakes are fine. Two weeks later, I was driving down-hill, at a relatively slow speed, however to my disbelief the brakes stopped working. There was a stenching burning smell. There was a car speeding towards us, however I pulled the parking brake and somehow parked it aside. I waited for the brakes to cool down and somehow drove back home with 30% effective braking capacity.Took the car to the dealership, they told me they will run diagnostic and it will take 3-5 business days. They are not even ready to provide me a replacement car and said it’s their company policy that only after diagnosis they can provide one. The way corporate dealerships work is utter nonsense. I am tired of visiting the dealership with the car having issues frequently. I bet they would have put the brake failure blame on me if something had happened to me. Other Dealerships provide you with a rental car immediately. These issues are happening after servicing the car.I can only suggest, this is not a negative opinion to bring down someone, but do not go for Hyundai cars. Get a Toyota or something else. Check with your friends and review dealerships and servicing. Do not fall prey to Sales tactics. Today it happened to me, tomorrow it could be you.I am still waiting for my car. I am not sure if they will charge me more again. But if they do, I will sue them. I either want my whole money back or give me a new car. This car has been having issues since I purchased it and it’s basically harassing a customer while you enjoy the monetary Sales benefits.

I just moved up to San Jose and my new Hyundai required maintenance. I reached out to Capitol Hyundai and found them very user friendly. They have an automated appointment system which I found easy to use. When I got there, I was met by extremely friendly and helpful staff. My service advisor was named John and he was super helpful. They got my car serviced in the 2 hours that they promised and I was on my way to my next appointment. The dealership is also very modern and clean. I already love my Hyundai Ioniq 6. The experience at this dealership has just added to that. Hyundai is where its at!

I had a great experience leasing a vehicle at Capitol Hyundai. The staff was friendly and informative (thanks Al!). The facilities were clean and comfortable. Selection of vehicles in stock is the best I found at any Hyundai dealership in the region. The process was easy and streamlined. Would lease another vehicle from Capitol Hyundai and have recommended the dealer to friends and family looking for a Hyundai.

Bought a H2 Nexo limited from Capitol Hyundai. My salesman Emmauel did a fabulous job of getting me hooked up online and with features on the car. Awesome nice guy. I Highly recommend him!The prices on the Nexo can be lowered a lot and a fuel card comes with it. If you don't have to travel out of major CA citys (Bay area, Sacramento and LA) , it is a great deal on a really wonderful car. Super quiet interior.If I did it all again, I would lease it for 3 years.

Casey W. helped us buy my dream car. I was undecided between two completely different makes. Casey was not pushy whatsoever and was amazing at keeping communication open with me via text while we were at a different dealership. I loathe the whole car buying process typically, but Casey truly made it an easy peasy experience. He even offered to drive all the way to Gilroy (I forgot my checkbook) and back. Capitol Hyundai was a fantastic experience.

Last week at Capitol Hyundai I purchased a 2023 Portifino gray Sonata hybrid Limited. It's a comfortable, responsive, and gorgeous vehicle. I will be proud of it and happy to drive it for many years. At Capitol Hyundai what is most important are the women and men who staff the sales room, discuss financing options, and complete the purchase agreement. Emmanuel Martinez is the "product specialist" who worked with me and helped me arrive at my final choice. There is so much to learn about all of the models. The way in which Emmanuel shared his knowledge showed me how much he enjoyed his job. He spent a good deal of time showing me how to operate the many controls on the dashboard screen and encouraged me to call him back if I had more questions. Shopping for a new car at Capitol Hyundai was a positive experience. They ARE friendly and do want you to be HAPPY! MM

Here's the body of my BBB complaint I filed:I brought my Hyundai Kona EV in for service on Thursday October 19th,2023. An appointment I scheduled for a recall repair online. Upon arrival, Iwas told that "I should have called them to get an appointment before 11"and that my car would have to be there overnight. They did not warn meabout this, they had contact info for me. Having not made plans, Irequested a rental car which they didn't want to do at first, but relented.Multiple days went by without any contact, despite me calling and emailingthe service manager. I've left 4 VMs and 2 emails for the service managerat this point, I finally get a call back saying to pick up the vehicle. I arrive,and the service advisor (Ken) hands me the paperwork and thekey (no walkaround inspection) and I drive off. I arrive home and find that they've damaged my front license plate frame and plate! I tried calling other phone numbers I've found on their paperwork and they ROUTE TO SCAM LINES, they aren't even correct phone numbers on their paperwork!! This service center is a disaster and should not be allowed to provide service if they cannot meet basic expectations of communicationand quality handling of my vehicle.

Had a great experience with salesman, Eric Canto. We had been looking for a new car for months now. When we narrowed it down, we came to this dealership but unfortunately were not fully satisfied with the models they currently had. We were informed there were new arrivals in transit, but wouldn’t arrive until a month later. During this time, Eric did a great job keeping us informed when they arrived giving details of the cars from interior to exterior. When we decided to visit the dealership again, he had a car ready for us to test drive. Looking into more details of what we wanted that same day, he showed us more models and we found the one! Eric was attentive, friendly and listened well to what we wanted. We are extremely happy with our purchase!

I highly recommend buying a car from Capitol Hyundai especially with Tommy Tran. He made the car buying experience (which can be painful) super easy. All I did was ask for a quote from the website. Then, Tommy was quick to give me a good quote, and was quick to answer any questions. When I came to the dealership, the final quote was exactly what he promised. I definitely will come back to Capitol Hyundai in the future.

I recently purchased a IONIQ6 from Capitol Hyundai. The team at the dealership, specifically, Emmanuel from Sales and John from Finance are an exceptional team, and I highly recommend working with them. I received an unbelievable price and I love the car. I had no strong opinion of a Hyundai before my purchase, but now I believe they offer the best performance and quality for your money.
