I was a member of this branch for a decent amount of time under the impression that, like most credit unions, the members were the reason for the institution’s success. After being denied and not even offered an alternative solution such as a secured credit card, I realized this credit union has no real interest in helping its members succeed — only in turning them away when it actually matters. if you are considering banking with them, I suggest Merriwest or star one credit union instead. as long as i live i will bet on every put against this company because its not a if, its a when it falls.

Refuses to work with you unless you're a certain demographic. Samantha Collins Zaragosa is very rude and inattentive.

This credit union is shady. They issued me a visa debit card that I never used. Then 3 years year later- there were multiple (four) fraudulent purchases made with that card. If I never used it, how was it possible for someone to get access and use my card? When I called them to dispute the charges, they charged me “$30 stop payment” fee for EACH fraudulent transaction ($30x3 = $90.00) that I DID NOT DO. Why should I be charged those fees? Crappy bank, lying employee name Ashtin at the call center. Stating that she will reverse all the charges yet only reversed one instead of all three charges. Do not put your hard earned money here. They will steal it from you.
Note: I will update if they can resolve the issue.
Update: Ashtin is a liar and should not be working for any financial institution, however a different person went ahead and reversed those charges. Time to close out this account asap.

CEFCU seems to employ the nicest people in the financial sector. You'll think you're dealing with Canadians. Plus their auto loan rates is the absolute best I have come across - 4.49% when the industry average is around 7%. Service was efficient, inviting and friendly. They stayed a few minutes later after branch close time to help me out. Purely based on the interactions, I would bring more business to them.

CEFCU won't release my title for 60 days due to an external transfer.
Followed up with my bank which has an ACH hold of 3 days. CEFCU's 60 day hold for a title is mute because as they alluded to, a transaction can disputed for 18 months. The rule for 60 days hold on funds is not a fair policy, not clearly communicated that it also applies to CEFCU savings accounts that are funded by external funds, and the non resolution offered to transfer more than double the amount of my loan to free my title ($56,000). When the money was returned to my savings (an attempt to undo the loan payment) I could not return it to the original account I transferred it from? A very concerning development. Since an ACH dispute takes up the 90 days my options are to sit and wait (and personally take a loss) due to an opaque policy.

To open a account here they will check your credit I don't know for what if am not opening a credit card .Employee are so rude and disrespectful. I closed my account.

worst management ever,they put my 18000 check on hold for 9 business days despite I have more than 70000 in my account for 2 years.
