Avoid the mechanic / auto service. Overcharged to remove a screw from the front tire. It took him 3 min (literally) and charged 50$. I did the same for my other vehicle for 30$ in a different place 2 months ago (unfortunately today was closed).

After an email to Chevron corporate, about the episode below, I got a call from the owner whose name is Mehdi. Mehdi profusely apologize for his employee's behavior and took steps to rectify the situation for me. As a result, am changing my review rating
I had been a 10+ year customer at this store for gas and carwash but no more.
The manager Ernest is exceptional rude and demeaning. I went in to complain about the vacuum working poorly and he gave me a huge attitude, refused to come out and check it and tell me that he sees people like me all time and he does not like me. Then finally he come out and was able to see the poor suction and yet he tells me that it is working after all. Refused to give me the owner's contact. I asked for a refund for which he absolutely refused.
I asked for his name again when I didn't hear it right the first time, he yelled at me that he spoke in English. He challenged me to talk to the owner who will tell me the same thing. Seems like the owner may be as rude and encourages such behavior.

Please do not go to this thief and abusive foul of a person. My mom went to him today to get her receipts from the “repairs” he had done. The owner Lorence came super aggressively to her and started talking horrible to her. Calling my mother a thief in Farsi that she still owes him money and that she needs to pay what she owes. My mom told him that he knows she does not owe him anything and that she has already paid him. He goes and brings false documents to her and not even showing her says she’s old and has mental illness in Farsi and that she does not know what she is talking about. My mom is an elderly lady with insanely good morals. She was extremely upset on his lies and the way he spoke to her. This man has lied about repairs. He said he changed her egr and put a brand new one in. Which she paid $1000 dollars for. Which that part is $250-$259 plus an hour of labor. How do you get $1000??? She didn’t know and went ahead and paid it. When her car failed a few days later we told her to take it somewhere else. I stopped going there a few years ago because he was trying to charge me $2000 to change my clutch in a 96 ford ranger. I told him no thank you because it cost my 2011 mini cooper $2300 to replace the clutch. How is a ford ranger going to cost more? So I took it somewhere else and the guy said it’s a $700 dollar job. So I knew the new owner was a scammer and stopped going to him. Especially with females and apparently the elderly…. When my mom took her Mercedes to another shop, the same shop I took my ford to, I asked the guy if her EGR had been replaced and he said no!!! And that wasn’t even the problem…. All my mom wanted was her receipts. And in turn she got humiliated in front of other customers and employees. She got threatened and got called old senile and she has mental illness…. The BAR will be notified. I will not put up with this kind of vulgar behavior.

WARNING: AGEISM, SCAMMERS, PRICE GOUGING, THREATENING BEHAVIOR.
Yesterday I dropped by to ask about repairs for my car. Never been here before. I was taken to the head mechanic who turned to me with an extremely NASTY look, glaring. Not my style & not a good start. I began to explain & ask about a repair, "My check engine light is off has been going on & off randomly. I got diagnostics at Autozone and I was wondering..." HE LOUDLY INTERRUPTED TO STOP ME, incredibly threateningly body behavior, leaning in, hovering over me, glaring at me with literal HATE! This large man looming over my elderly, nervous body stopped me LOUDLY & RUDELY without ever knowing what I was planning to ask. (I had PLANNED to ask if they could give an estimate on ignition coil(s) repair..or even if they DID this type work), He did not allow me to ask ANYTHING.
THIS "man", the head mechanic, interrupted me, a 72 year old, rather frail woman, yelling & looming over me, "$189 DIAGNOSTICS FIRST. BEFORE ANYTHING, I DO DIAGNOSTICS FOR $189!!! $189 FOR DIAGNOSTICS BEFORE TALKING!", his eyes glaring into mine, daring me to breathe! It was very intimidating & still is even today, days later! (And don't think I didn't immediately note his RIDICULOUS price for him running DIAGNOSTICS, which is plugging a $20 machine into my dash for a code I already received FREE & very politely at Autozone! Which, frankly, I could BUY the tester & do it myself! $$$$189!!!! Think about that! This man thinks I'm an IDIOT!
This is price gouging, Elder Abuse, Scamming or attempting to scam the elderly & intimidation, all illegal.
If you read this, little man, ALL ILLEGAL & "someone" might take you up on your impending lawsuit someday if you pull this on the wrong person, which you did.
Unbeknownst to this BULLY, I did NOT fall off the turnip truck YESTERDAY! Might LOOK like I did, but no. I did not!
His actions were deplorable. His minions stood there surrounding him knowing how he would act & said NOTHING. No doubt, they're terrified of him, too.
At that flight or freeze moment, I simply laughed & replied, "$189!?! RIDICULOUS! In that case, we have absolutely NOTHING here to discuss here!" & walked away laughing & shaking my head, got in my car ACTING all cool & composed & drove home shaking & getting more & more upset with every mile...UPSET AND FURIOUS!
Listen up, MECHANIC Screaming at me with your greasy fingernails! THERE WILL BE LETTERS SENT, with NAMES, DATES & DETAILS...& NOT to YOUR LITTLE "territory middle management friend" or ANY middle management who desperately needs to protect their territory's reputation from your behavior, but to REAL management. I'm going way up the Chevron ladder with YOU going down it after.
I received unwarranted threatening behavior, scamming attempt, intimidation, AGEISM & was not listened to. He saw an elderly, vulnerable (looking) female & began intimidation & scamming techniques. He refused to hear WHY I was there!
Mechanic! Has that scam EVER worked for you? If so, you have broken the law & should be sued If any attorney reads the reviews here & below, please consider filing a lawsuit on this illegal activity, especially the attempting to intimidate into scamming the elderly as well as blatant price gouging. I'll join in! I imagine many of the review posters here would love to see this intimidation stop..

While this "head mechanic" was screaming this in my "freeze or flight mode" face, his minions of helper mechanics stood surrounding him kind of circling around like hungry coyotes & said NOTHING, just wandered around with their big eyes watching & little smirks on their faces. This was all VERY sudden & out of nowhere, within one minute of getting out of my car & approaching the garage! In other words, I did nothing or said nothing to cause this senseless, violent, toddler-like outburst. I just kind of laughed & walking back to my car said, "In that case, we have absolutely NOTHING to talk about!" Show no fear, right? I drove home shaking & getting more & more furious about the way I had been abused with every mile along the way. Ok, now to YOU, Mechanic & Chevron Franchise; THERE WILL BE LETTERS SENT, with NAMES, DATES & DETAILS...I'm going way up the Chevron ladder with YOU going down after, Mechanic at this pitiful excuse of a "SERVICE" oriented business bearing the Chevron name. Franchise or not, you bear the Chevron name. ACT LIKE IT! I was a victim of unwarranted, threatening behavior, a blatant scamming attempt, overwhelming intimidation, obvious, no excuse AGEISM attempts & threats when all I wanted was to find a good place to take my car! Well, process of elimination, I guess! You have been eliminated. Has this screaming in a new customer's face "technique" EVER worked for you? If so, you have broken the law. You break the law when you use these "techniques" on the elderly. Bully! I AM considering filing a formal complaint, if not a lawsuit, on YOU & your meek co-workers, who are WITNESSES, for attempting to scam me. You are an awful excuse of a man. Ridiculous. I went in for gas and a car wash. The cashier kept pressuring me to purchase a higher-priced car wash and insisted despite me telling him I didn't want to. He couldn't process the transaction correctly for the gas and a car wash. He had another employee help him, but he couldn't get the transaction correctly. I asked for my money back and let not getting gas or a car wash. Very incompetent service shaking my head..
