I wouldn't recommend this place for regular swimming. Their pool is nominal, and it's not safe due to the excessive amount of chlorine. The water is murky and filled with debris, tangled hair, and even disintegrated napkins. The maintenance guy looks sloppy while conducting water tests for appearance. The chlorine levels may irritate your eyes and breathing, especially in the hot tub. I used to go swimming daily, my dark hair started losing color, became very dry and acquired reddish shade. The unpleasant bleach smell from skin and hair was hard to eliminate. The management seems unconcerned about anything but money. Additionally, personal training is a joke; they coax you into signing a contract, and canceling incurs a fee equal to half of the contract period pricing. This place falls below average; consider finding a better alternative.

The staff specially Patrick is really nice. He is always warm and welcoming. It has lots of machines and free weights which I primarily use. Only thing I would say is sometimes the cleanliness is not upto the par hence one less star. I wish they would clean swimming pools little better cause the water doesn't feel too clean. But overall a nicely equipped gyms.

Have been at this gym for quite some time now and I enjoy it! Friendly staff, lots of equipment, pool, etc. The only downside is I wish the bathrooms were more checked on because it can get extremely unsanitary :(

Came on a Sunday. This gym had ZERO air circulation. It was stuffy, muggy and more smelly than usual. Surprising with it being flu/ COVID season. Staff are helpful when approached.

The facility is nice, has everything accept a steam room. The employees have been great so far. Giancarlo was the rep that signed me up for my membership, very sweet and kind. He was informative and helpful even though it was his first day. He was confident and honest, ready to learn to be his best. I wish him luck and am thankful I got to be one of his first customers. I have a personal training session with Elias soon and I'm hoping that will be awesome as well!! Also lastly, thanks Sam for your help.

I really like this gym because its clean and their equipment is good. If something breaks they are quick to fix it. Everything is cleaned very regularly and a lot of the machines have doubles, so the wait isnt too long most of the time. My only complaint is that the music in their facility is too loud, sorry i prefer my own music in my earbuds?

Large and well-stocked gym that has free weight, machine, cardio, and group exercise sections. Also has a pool, basketball court, punching bags, handball courts, and even a childcare area so parents can work out without worrying about their kids. My only complaints are the lack of deadlift and squat racks, which often have a line of people waiting to use them, even during off-peak hours.

I give this gym 1 star somewhere we're my kids can't be neither can I ! I had a bad expirince with the child care there I do NOT RECOMMEND YOU leaving CHILD UNDER THE AGE OF 1. I left my little 12 months old and when I went to check up he was crying badly They need to hire people with kids/baby experience to care for the little THEY NEED TO HIRE KID FRIENDLY PEOPLE FOR DAY CARE.

I absolutely love this gym. I've been coming here for just under a year and have had no problems with it. Every staff member I have encountered (specifically Patrick) has been nothing but nice and helpful. It's pretty clean (minus the bathrooms) and as someone who switched from UFC Gym to this gym, I would say it's definitely worth it. The only problem is that there are a bunch of old dudes who hog the racquetball courts without reservations so I have for the most part just been staying to weights but it's still one of the best gyms around

I was a member here for two years. This gym is very large, equipment is relatively new, and the staff are pretty friendly. That being said, they somehow don't know which machines to order. This giant, 2-story gym has only 3 squat racks. If I come at a less busy time, like 1pm, the rest of the gym will be empty, but every single squat rack is taken. It's almost as if 3 squat racks isn't enough for 100 people. Furthermore, if you work normal hours and want to come to the gym after work... good luck getting any machine. They give out way too many memberships and don't care enough to organize a proper system to have people wait for machines in an orderly manner. Also, this gym is almost impossible to leave. Any employee, of course, can easily sign you up. However, only one employee - the operations manager - can actually cancel the membership for you. You need to cancel 10 days BEFORE your billing cycle in order to not be charged for that month. Manager isn't in? Not their problem. We came in 3 separate times, and each time, he was out for a different reason (hadn't come in yet, was taking his lunch break, etc).Don't waste your time unless you enjoy fighting for machines every time you go to the gym, and also have lots of free time to spare.

Sad to see this location's customer service in a such a steep decline. It's gotta be a safety hazard to shut off the lights in the hallway from the locker room, and the weight room, over 5 minutes before they close.

Recently went to the City Sports on Newhall. I'm blown away with how good the customer service was. Super encouraging, had a descriptive tour of the facility, and overall just met some really amazing people. Shout out to Alan Chan, the person who showed me around, I'll come back soon.

Staff doesn't have any manners, you will not feel welcomed at this gym until you know them or have a good rapport with them. Gym is overcrowded, guess they don't know when to stop giving membership. NOT advisable to work out between Monday and Thursday but if you are looking to workout during the weekend and don't care about the behavior of the staff then only go ahead with the membership and yeah their wifi doesn't work and you won't get much network either when inside.

This gym is clean and pretty nice when you are a member, but if and when, you leave it's like trying to get out of a cult. They billed my company two years (through COVID) even though I didn't go. When I finally found out this year, I went in and was told no one was there that could help me. I was given an email address which immediately bounced back when I got home and tried to cancel through email. I called again, spoke with Ismael at the start of July. He was very helpful, took the time to look at the records and assured me the contract cancelled in 2021, per THEIR records.I called and disputed the charges with AmEx. AmEx said they could chargeback the last four months. Today, I find out City Sports is STILL fighting it, refusing to refund even the past four months, even though I have actively been TRYING to cancel.Spend your money elsewhere - Bay Club - Club Sport - even 24 Hour (it may be a dive but at least they don't steal your money when you leave). Otherwise, you'll have a MASSIVE HEADACHE when you decide to cancel.

Wifi is pretty much non-existent. I asked why and they told me because they are cheap. Not enough bars for the benches. People camp on machines texting and doing social media. Goodluck trying to work in. Almost got in a fight because the guy said the machine was his. Staff stares at you when you have a complaint. Totally useless. I won't be here long.
