I had an extremely disappointing experience at this CVS Pharmacy Store #9395 in San Jose
I came to pick up a prescription for my husband, who had just undergone intensive dental procedures and was in a lot of pain. When I called ahead to confirm if the prescription was ready and run through insurance, Pharmacist Jason Jang License #89661 claimed he couldn’t check the insurance status which is false. Pharmacists have full access to that info.
I offered to give him the insurance details over the phone to save time and prevent delays. He told me to just come in and they’d check it then. When I asked again, he went completely silent and then put me on hold claiming he had to help another customer.
But here’s the thing I was already in the same shopping plaza which I had already told him about and walked in during the call. Jason Jang wasn’t helping anyone. He chose to ignore me rather than do his job.
When I asked for his last name, he refused to give it. The intern pharmacist on duty, Siripann Laohatonhtip (License #50232) going by Ploy also refused to identify herself. Only later was I able to verify their names and credentials.
This is unacceptable behavior from licensed professionals especially when someone is waiting for pain medication. I’ve filed 2 formal complaints for each individual with the California Board of Pharmacy and I hope CVS holds their staff accountable. Patients and customers deserve better.

Pharmacy was good. I will not buy anything from the store side again and will change Pharmacys probably . Asked where the bathroom was when I finally found an employee. They said over there but have to go to the front for the Key. No employees I wait. I walked towards an employee. I said I was toldI I can get the bathroom key. He says we don't have a Bathroom. Why was I told to get a key in front? He walks away. I thought about going right there. I have used the bathroom there before.

I just went to CVS to get cold medicines. I had to hunt down a cashier (Cynthia #2642663). She comes up to me and sends to to do my own transaction. I said can I have you cashier me because it’s going to want my ID? She ignored me and went and cashiered a customer? I got finished with my transaction and it wouldn’t print out a receipt ( no paper ). So, I tell Cynthia and she goes to her register and prints it out. I’m thinking to myself I could have been out of here 15 minutes ago. I say thank you and leave. Then I look at my receipt and notice that I was was charged full price $12.99 it had a sale tag on it for $9.99 . As I’m walking up to the counter Cynthia is talking to. Manager about me on phone at register ( customer not happy with her) I’m standing there waiting to get a price adjustment. I tell Cynthia she’s all okay “ I give you re run?” I’m all you mean a refund ? Then she’s counting on her fingers because she doesn’t know how give change back? I’m all it’s $3.00. She ignores me. Then she Then she’s refunded me the whole product Then wants to redo it again. She’s all I give you- re run ?? I’m like no thank you. I left the store shaking my head with disbelief of such poor customer service. Cynthia needs more training in customer service and basic math . I think she ignored me because she couldn’t understand me. Or that’s how she treats all her customers. Today’s experience was horrible.

On December 23, 2024, I purchased my prescribed medication, Olmesartan Medoxomil 20mg tablets, a generic drug that typically costs around $30. However, at the pharmacy located at 525 W Capitol Expy, San Jose, CA 95136, the pharmacist, Wesley, charged me $342.99. Additionally, I was mistakenly charged twice for Olmesartan Medoxomil 5mg, with each charge being $48.
I immediately brought the overcharge to Wesley's attention and requested a refund, but he refused, stating that too much time had passed. The following day, I contacted Corporate Customer Relations and spoke with Kate, who also denied my refund request despite the fact that I have all the necessary receipts and documentation to prove the mistake.
Please be cautious when purchasing medications from this CVS pharmacy, as mistakes like this can happen, and resolving the issue may be difficult.

They practically force you to use the self checkout by having no staff available in the regular checkout line or by having them standing there refusing to help you, and then when there's an issue with the self checkout, the available staff takes forever to help and acts like you're asking them to move a 1 ton boulder. They lock up random beauty items that are much cheaper than non-locked up items, and again, it's like an act of congress getting someone to come help you to get the item. I wouldn't come here if it wasn't so convenient.

I went to get a passport photo. The woman who helped me was nice. I was told on the phone to come after sunset to get a photo because of the sunlight during the day

All CVS in general are just awful - hence why so many of the CVS locations are shutting down this year. Everytime I try to reorder my medication (its a sleep medicine thats VERY popular), they never have it in stock and then make me wait weeks to get more. This little game happens monthly, so what I did was transfer the prescription over to Walgreens and whiola! No issues at all, they have my medicine in stock each every time...And there is no "shortage" as CVS says there is. Basically what happens is this, CVS is too cheap to keep medicines on demand, so they just order small amounts when they need them. Stupid business model, I will never return to CVS ever again. These people are terrible!

This CVS is in the Luckys plaza, parking is easy to find. The pharmacy here sometimes can get busy during rush hour, so expect to wait a bit in line. You can get flu shot here, but I find to be busy even with appointment. I'm not sure if you can drop in for vaccines or not. However the pharmacy is nice and professional.

No improvements to this store location. I went into the store about 30 mins from when it was closing. I grabbed my tea tree oil and tatto eye linear quickly. I was happy to know both items were in stock.

They don’t know their own policies.Left and went to another CVS. I know you can’t trust this pharmacy but this one specifically blamed a visiting pharmacist for doing the right thing.Disgusting.They even made me talk loudly from the counter to the back where they were about my medications while they had a long line.0% discretion.
