After having a line-up of nannies we decided that we needed more structure, stability, and peer interaction. We visited many daycares in our area, and we settled on Evergreen Montessori on YB. Since attending, my daughter has sung a lot more songs, created wonderful keepsake art, and made a lot of friends. The staff is stellar, and I truly can see the care and concern each has for my daughter. The staff watches my daughter closely and aligns with her interests. I can’t say enough wonderful things about Evergreen Montessori on YB. We look forward to watching our daughter blossom.

My daughter started at Evergreen Montessori schools at the Yerba Buena location and switched to the Aborn location when she switched from the Nurture Program (1.5 to 3.5yo) to the Discover Program (3.5 to K) once she was potty trained. So we have experienced both schools and love them both equally (our location switch was only due to driving convenience). To say that she is THRIVING would be an understatement! My daughter is 33 months old and she already has phonemic awareness (identifying and sounding out her letters), is fully potty trained, chooses and puts on her own clothes and shoes, can set and clear her own table, eats independently, has memorized (and is constantly singing) countless songs and nursery rhymes, she’s even begun coloring within the lines and starting to trace shapes, numbers, and letters. She is able to work independently and has also built relationships with her peers and teachers. She understands categorizing and sequencing, and she is often practicing her life skills at home by putting away her own toys, helping with cooking and cleaning, and is even responsible for certain tasks like feeding our dog. Both schools’ teachers and staff are all very well versed in the Montessori way. This is a true Montessori school. Not only is the curriculum all Montessori based, but how the teachers monitor and handle children’s behavior aligns with Maria Montessori’s teachings. They are all kind, caring, and are able to adhere to boundaries, creating a safe and nurturing environment for the students. They recently had a Winter Program performance. Not only did ALL children sing AND dance to 13 holiday songs from around the world, but my daughter was selected to lead the Peace Prayer by Ghandi (11 lines MEMORIZED). Getting 2 schools of children under 6 years old to stand on stage and perform for 20+ minutes was absolutely mind-blowing and such a delight!Needless to say we love the Evergreen Montessori Schools. My daughter RUNS to the school door each day eager to learn and play and comes home beaming, ready to tell us everything she learned. I highly recommend Evergreen Montessori!

We are super happy with sending our daughter to this school. This was her first school experience (2.5 years old) so needless to say, it was a difficult transition at first with many tears. The teachers helped make her feel welcome and patiently attended to her separation anxiety. Now, she gets so excited to go and learn new things and visit with her friends. She has developed noticeably in the language area and has become much more independent in tasks. Highly recommend entrusting Sunita and her team with your child's development!

Our toddler started at EMS when he turned 18 months. He's been going here for the past year. The teachers are so warm and friendly and everyday, we are so thankful that our toddler is taken care of so well. Potty learning was a breeze because the teachers so willingly complimented what we were doing at home to help our toddler learn the skills. He's picked up so many practical life skills while he's been here. He enjoys spending time at school. And I'm so surprised by his ever growing vocabulary. He uses complicated words in sentences that I would not have imagined a 2.5 yr old could grasp ! It's been such a pleasure sending our toddler to EMS.

Our 2-year-old has been attending EMS for over 2 months, and we couldn't be happier with our choice. The transition to school life was surprisingly seamless, all thanks to the wonderful environment at EMS.EMS has the perfect balance between structure and warmth. The daily routine provides just the right amount of structure for our little one's developmental needs, while the homely atmosphere makes it feel like a second home. The caring and attentive staff members make every child feel special, fostering an environment of trust and comfort. As parents, there's nothing more reassuring than knowing our child is excited to go to daycare each day. We're thrilled to see our child's growth and learning journey unfold at EMS. Here's to many more months of positive experiences and growth at EMS!

My 3 years old daughter went to this school for little more than a year. We are so glad we choose to send her to Evergreen Montessori School. The teachers are very caring and helped us with the transition. She was very close to Ms Bharthi who is a great and loving teacher. Ms Sunita is very knowledgeable on positive parenting techniques and we got excellent guidance from her. Ms Varsha is very attentive to the feedback and always reciprocated to even smaller issues. My daughter enjoyed her dance lessons with Ms. Vijaya & Art work with Ms. Van Pang. They have a good academic curriculum and also lot of fun activities. Would highly recommend the school .

I had my kid enrolled here at 18 months. Trusting with the over all look by the tour they provide and how the teachers are loving towards kids. After couple of months I started getting complains from my kid that teacher hits on hand. We immediately took this to the managers notice and she said that she trusted the teacher and she is sure that the kid must have made up story as they are good with pretend play. After few weeks some parents complained & they had investigation from the Regional Licensing office as some teacher was telling a kid that she will tie his hands. I was luckily that I could take action for my kid in time and provide a better care.

Lovely community of committed teachers and administrators. Thankful that both my sons at 18 months until 3 years of age were able to participate in the montessori program at EMS. They both have blossomed at EMS. Highly recommend enrolling your children here.

We sent my our son part-time to EMS Yerba Buena as a toddler and we've had a fantastic experience. Ms. Varsha does an excellent job of communicating with the parents and will always make time to answer questions. Our son has loved the teachers in each of the 2 classrooms he's been a part of and the teachers have worked with us on potty training and behavioral changes. Overall, it's been a very positive experience for our family and I would recommend this school to every one of my friends.

EMS is excellent. Teachers are awesome and infrastructure is great What I like the most is the curriculum. It is well balanced for a child development. My kid looked forward going to school before the pandemic. I really appreciate all the hard work teachers and staff are putting in for the online class. They are ensuring kids can continue learning and provide all the right materials and instructions.

My daughter has been going to the location at Yerba Buena for 1.5 years. She loves her teachers and always is home happy. There is a focus on not just conventional education, but more on being independent and social. With COVID, the establishment has taken good steps to ensure proper social distancing and cleanliness. I highly recommend this school for your kids.

I am truly grateful to have found and be apart of the Evergreen Montessori community/family.My son has has been attending EMS since he was 18 months and started out in the Willow Classroom. My first impressions when I toured the facility was its friendliness, cleanliness, location, and security- in that order.I met with the director and the staff who would be interacting with my son and immediately felt comfortable. They were all so friendly and appeared to enjoy being around and with the children. I was very, very impressed on how clean the facility is both inside and outside. Inside the classrooms are nicely tucked tasks/activities (what they call “work”) that is placed on top of a rug that the children learn to roll and unroll. Their play yard is also very clean and spacious for the kids to roam around on their bikes, go up-and-down the slide, or into the playhouse. There also is NO trash! In fact, one one occasion something has spilled out of someone’s car when I noticed that the director was cleaning it up.In addition, as I was touring EMS one of the seller points for me was its location. EMS has three locations but we are the most familiar with the Yerba Buena campus. It’s a 5 minute drive from our home so God-forbid there should be an emergency we are just a skip away.Lastly, when you drive in there is a security check-point. The security guards there roam around the campus which makes any parent feel at ease knowing that their children are in safe hands.Above all, I am really pleased with Evergreen Montessori because when my son was first diagnosed with speech delay, we felt so helpless. I brought my concerns to the director and she was willing to work with us. She assured us that the lead teacher and staff would be aware of my sons circumstance and we sat down in several meetings creating goals and a “plan of action” on how to encourage and cultivate an environment that would produce more talking, socialization, and expressive language in the classroom. I also brought in a private SLP and again, EMS was very cooperative and was on the same page working towards the betterment of my son and his speech. The director is very motivated and willing to help out families who need a little extra attention and will meet their needs.Another thing, my family and I really enjoy about EMS is their celebrations. We had the opportunity to participate in their Diwali (celebration of lights) party, Winter and Spring celebration etc.I love the diversity and camaraderie that is shared within the EMS community as my son has made many friends while being there, and I as a parent have also made lasting friendships with the mothers at EMS.

Our first son went there from June 2015 to August 2018. He went to all three classes at Yerba Buena, Willow, Maple, and Birch. Later, he went to KG at Silver Oak. He was ready for school, anf few weeks later, he is reading story books. He was reading small words and solving additions and subtractions at Pre-K. Now, we are trying to repeat with the next son, who has been there since he turned1.5 years old.One great thing about this school is that they listen to parents.
